Re: Daily"Oll"AboutOllie (Daily Bumps) - Part 92
I wasn't planning to watch the vlog because I know they are probably lying about a lot of this, but what you guys are writing here got me interested. Indeed, it seems like they are exaggerating this story A LOT. They didn't even know she was gone until someone called them, but Bryan said he was "so hot" running around looking for her?? Fatty, please...LIE!
As a pet owner, I would NEVER call someone and LIE about their pet getting hit by a car. Do they live by complete lunatics??? I think that's another LIE.
I'm curious how long Luna has actually been gone...I think it's more like since the weekend, not just since that morning. Interesting the "security footage" had NO visible date/time stamp! Another potential LIE.
Have they ever said they have bad cell reception at their house before?? Was Luna wearing her collar/ID tag when she ran off? (Yes, she had it on when they filmed her when they picked her up but they could have brought it with them!). Maybe whomever found her had to take Luna to a vet to check her chip???!!
Ok, I'm done with that rant. LOL

It's like a choose your own adventure booktintin15 wrote:Alright. What do we bet is going to happen to the chickens now that Missy's laziness has taken over and she no longer wants to take care of them?
1. Serious convo in the vlog about how they died.
2. Serious convo in the vlog about how they went to a farm.
3. Sudden 8 minute montage of Missy feeding and loving on the chickens.

Good points! They didn't even know that she was gone until someone called them! I really wonder what time all this took place. We know they don't get up early to begin with. Missy looked like she had on her makeup and everything.ewokfan11 wrote:I wasn't planning to watch the vlog because I know they are probably lying about a lot of this, but what you guys are writing here got me interested. They live very close if not inside of an ecological reserve. There are all kinds of wild animals everywhere so they're very lucky she wasn't gone. They're lucky someone picked her up. I'm sure she was almost hit by a car... she has no idea how to behave around cars on roads since they never take her out.
That white wooden fence they have wouldn't keep Any dog in. I thought they'd gotten some type of fence to keep snakes out.
No mention about Ollies rash that must have been cured.
"I bought missy these pie pans at Williams Sonoma but she's never used them". Of course she hasn't, she doesn't cook! That store must live it when he come in.... "I want one of everything that's the most expensive (even if we'll never use them)".

I hate defending them but do none of you let your dogs in your fenced in yard? Mine love going outside we have a doggie door. Sometimes they go out for a few hours unsupervised. Maybe bryan opened the gate because he thought the dog was inside but Mimi let her out 5 minutes before that. As much as we all hate them they don't let their dogs run away and get hurt they have had karma for years.

Yes, this is strange. I think it was one of these scenarios:ewokfan11 wrote: As a pet owner, I would NEVER call someone and LIE about their pet getting hit by a car. Do they live by complete lunatics??? I think that's another LIE.
1. Missy and Bryan were rude on the phone and the woman responded with something like, "she was almost hit, you know! If I hadn't found her and brought her in, she could've been hurt!" That kind of deal - if she felt like they weren't appreciative she may have responded like that and the Lumps turned it into "she said Luna had been hit."
2. The woman was a neighbor who doesn't like them or someone who had seen the vlogs and knows how they treat their pets. In that case, she could have been a bit lecture-y and let them know that if they don't keep an eye on their pets, they escape and could be hit by a car. Again, the Lumps aren't going to say this is how it happened, they just turn it into their own version of the story.
Missy said that the woman said Luna "was safe," but then didn't know what the woman meant by that. Think about it - unless the woman was upset or being snarky, why wouldn't Missy have just politely asked for more information about how Luna was? I feel like the only reason she wouldn't would be if she felt like she was being "yelled at" or "judged" by the lady and just wanted to get off the phone quickly.
3. Missy and Bryan were all worked up when she called and just misunderstood. They are not the sharpest crayons in the box, so it may have been as simple as this.

Re: Daily"Oll"AboutOllie (Daily Bumps) - Part 92
We do not have a fenced yard and my dog is never left out unsupervised, but i probably would if we did have a fence. The lumps property is so large (the fenced area) there is no way i would let my dog out to roam that unsupervised. I would imagine that the gate for the driveway wouldn't be "dog proof" anyway. Plus we have never seen them just let the dogs roam like that before. I thought they fenced in that small area of yard so they could let them out there so they could be unsupervised for a little while bc they didn't want them unsupervised on the whole property. That was my assumption anyway. It just doesn't add up, i think she got out due to something they screwed up so they lie to make it seem like an accident. And yes i still blame Bryan for letting her get out even if the circumstances you just brought up were what happened. There is no good reason for him to open the gate without knowing where the dogs were. Any time i would open the gate my first thought would be, where are the dogs? Before the gate was opened. Also, if Mimi let the dogs out, she should have let everyone know they were out before she did it. It could have been prevented but they aren't good with keeping up with the kids or the dogs. Karma seems a lot more clam and secure than Luna. Luna saw an opportunity to run and took it, Karma just seems like the kinda dog that would see the open gate and be like, yeahhh i think i'll go hang on the couch instead. They are lucky that both dogs didn't get out. Which makes me wonder... was karma inside and being part of the family while Luna was in the side yard being shunned like she normally is? Maybe she busted out of the side yard and no one knew bc no one pays attention to her....MommaLindsey2 wrote:I hate defending them but do none of you let your dogs in your fenced in yard? Nope, and if I did I wouldn't leave him out there unsupervised. My sister and mother in-law both have fenced in yards and when I bring him to their houses I'm always with him when he's outside.MommaLindsey2 wrote:You have a fenced yard?Shorty02 wrote:My dog is never outside unsupervised. I have a wooden privacy fence and a 95lb mutt that wouldn't allow someone to steal my smaller dogs. LolShorty02 wrote:Nope, and if I did I wouldn't leave him out there unsupervised. Re: Daily
Also after watching the security footage, that fence near the road is not a dog proof fence. Luna or Karma could very easily go under or through that fence with no problem. Those dogs should never be allowed in that area unsupervised.MommaLindsey2 wrote:You have a fenced yard?Shorty02 wrote:My dog is never outside unsupervised. Looks like she chased the UPS truck out. My guess at what happened? No one was paying any attention to her, she got out and then chased the truck down the hill and out the gate. It wasn't until the lady called that they even noticed she was gone. My dog is like my kid and i keep up with her just like i would my kids. I know where is is 99.9% of the time and that .1% is me trying to find her. I'm not saying she hasn't gotten away from me at times and i have had to go looking for her, but those few times have been 100% my fault for being distracted while i had her outside. And even in those times she has been "lost" and found within 10 mins, bc i notice that she is missing. Even if we are all home and i know shes in the house i still will call her and find her if i don't see her or know where she is. She's too important to me for me to not know what she is up too at all times. This is not the case with Missy and Bryan.

We were actually wondering. There's been footage of Karma, but not Luna, for at least a few days. I thought she'd been locked in her crate. When my daughter was watching yesterday, I actually asked where she was.Playsinrain wrote:ewokfan11 wrote:I wasn't planning to watch the vlog because I know they are probably lying about a lot of this, but what you guys are writing here got me interested. I am the same way with my cats, and they don't even go outside! I'm always making sure they're not into something that will hurt them, or that I'm not going to accidentally shut a door on their tail or pop the recliner up with them underneath. If someone called and said they had my cat and she had been hit by a car, the first thing I would want to know is if she was ok. I can't imagine hanging up the phone without knowing if she was bleeding, scared, in pain, etc. Pets aren't throwaway possessionsPlaysinrain wrote:Also after watching the security footage, that fence near the road is not a dog proof fence. I think their biggest problem is that Luna is an Australian Cattle Dog. They were bred to be on farms and getting LOTS of exercise, not lounging around Lazy Lumps' mansion all day/every day.
Australian Cattle Dogs are SMART! If Luna has discovered a way to escape, she'll just do it again and again. Luna would be better off with a family that cares.

She's actually an Australian Shepherd, but you are right. She wants to run and needs a job to do. If they don't give her a job to do she will behave poorly. They should really be out there with her throwing balls and frisbees everyday, but they're too lazy to do that.ewokfan11 wrote:I think their biggest problem is that Luna is an Australian Cattle Dog. We live in a more rural area (about 1/2 acre) and we do not have a dog proof fence. We have had about 7-8 dogs in my lifetime, they have all been outside dogs with the exception of going in the garage in the winter. We have never had problems with them being hit by cars. Of course it could happen but it's not something we worry about, the dogs get used to the cars and learn to stay out of the way. Idk I'm not one to defend them but when you live on a larger property I think there are different standards.

Re: Daily"Oll"AboutOllie (Daily Bumps) - Part 92
Luna is an Australian shepherd, yes they are very smart and need a job. I've actually been happy that she's been included in the family swim times and we see her less in the crate. And she didn't find a way to escape (like my crazy dog who is an escape artist and needs an invisible fence as well as a regular fence) Luna ran through the open gate. I will criticize them for not teaching Ollie anything or ollies speech but not this. Most vloggers don't include much of their dogs or animals in the vlogs because that's not what the vlogs are about or really what the viewers watch for. Sometimes we go a few days without seeing C&k dogs but that doesn't mean they are forgotten or neglected.ewokfan11 wrote:I think their biggest problem is that Luna is an Australian Cattle Dog. Yes they got in over their head with the most horrible breed for their family but they seem to be doing better and including her as part of the family. And I am also wondering if she was missing for a few days and they didn't want to say anything until they found her so they wouldn't be crucified by the minions.
Those saying they keep an eye on their dog 99% of the time, i understand, you probably don't have children yet. Before I had kids my dogs were my children. Now they are important members of the family and like children but they are down just a little on the totem pole. I have two children, a toddler Finn's age and a 3.5 year old. I take amazing care of my dogs but I cannot watch them 99% of the time because I'm watching two kids 99% of the time. And yes they shouldn't have opened the gate with her out there but mistakes happen and everyone has brain farts at times. I'm done defending them now but I just can't crucify someone when I don't have the entire story.
Also from what I heard in the vlog Mimi answered the phone, when the person who found the dog called them. She misunderstood what they said so missy and bryan where shocked and trying to figure out what happened. At least that's what I took from it. They were visibly shook up from what happened and I think that bryan loves Luna but missy is more bonded to karma.

Re: Daily"Oll"AboutOllie (Daily Bumps) - Part 92
Not true, i live on 3 + acres that are unfenced and there is zero chance i'm letting my dog out unsupervised. Other people have different standards, but using a blanket statement that people on larger properties wouldn't supervise their dogs is not at all true. I would not give my dog the slightest chance of getting hit by a car or bitten by a snake or being drug off by a coyote under my watch. Do what you want with your dog, but don't make generalized statements about how all people with lots of land have the same standards, clearly that isn't at all true.socks123 wrote:We live in a more rural area (about 1/2 acre) and we do not have a dog proof fence.
