That's certainly true! But I don't think a lot of these girls are wearing it as self expression and as a show of confidence. It seems like a lot of them are wearing it for the exact opposite reason. They do it because they're insecure (at least most tween girls I've ever known were, including myself) and feel pressured to live up to an airbrushed, filtered, photoshopped image. I feel bad for tween girls these days. I only had tv and magazines shoving images at me. These girls have Instagram, Facebook, blogs, and more, and a lot of the time, the images they're comparing themselves to aren't real.
