I just realized in the last couple of days what I love about the vlogs is how kind Jackson is to Calvin. No matter how obivious E&J are in showing favoritism to Calvin Jackson doesnt care he loves playing with him and wants another Calvin. Jackson is a good big brother and likes playing with him. I think
E&J know there is something i think they have a diagnosis thats why they stopped showing so much of the kids for awhile but seem to go back to their original way to vlog. Lining stacking or collecting objects and screaming along with not sleeping and not a lot of speech are signs but When jackson collected rocks that concerned me to.

Jareds dad is a big guy. Would love to know the marriage advice he dishes out to Jared.. You know he goes over there hangry

Seriously, same here. My husband would laugh me out of the room if I tried to serve him that. He'd say it was just enough to piss him off, then take "the Pacifica" on an outing to the nearest buffet. Granted, he is football player-sized instead of Mecham-sized. Why can't she at least serve decent portions of vegetables? This reminds me so much of the time Kevin splurged on ribs and Ruby gave each person one rib. Except for Russell and Eve, who just got corn and literally a spoon of canned pork and beans. WTF is wrong with these people.

Also, I agree about Calvin - I also didn't want to be the one to say it.

My youngest loves to line things up, stack things, etc. We worried that something might be off with him, but he had a language burst just prior to his 2nd birthday and with more language he was able to better express himself without screaming and tantrums. Cal may have an issue, but I really doubt hey have a diagnosis and are hiding it. Ignoring MAYBE, but definitely not getting treatment and keeping it quiet. Ellie thinks it's hard making meals for her family, no way she's a special needs mom struggling to balance the needs of her family. If Ellie had a special child, she would tell people because being the mother of a special needs child would also make her special.

I think Calvin has just been babied and held back because of it. I think he hasn't been encouraged developmentally, and has been spoiled and enabled for far too long, unlike Jackson, who was pushed to be "a big boy" from pretty much age 2.

Calvin might have a speech delay, but he seems pretty social, always making eye contact and smiling and just being pretty expressive. They just need to make him use his words more.

Whats the point of the fancy new kitchen, if she doesn't want to cook? I think i'd give up cleaning, laundry, and lushbomb baths before the thought of not feeding my family.
I don't watch.. Can't comment on Cal, but if something were up, they'd totally hide it

I will admit my sigh isnt the best, and viewing these photos on my pho e doesnt help but I thought the steak was peanut butter on toast with cucumbers. I was pretty outraged at that lol. That amount of steak and zucchini isnt much better.

It kills me the way they eat especially when Ellie is so skinny. She cooks like a 400 pound lady trying drastically to lose weight. She needs to use good healthy fats and oils, hell some cheese would help a ton. She is obsessed with being thin. Jared has to be eating way more than we see.

I feel a bit sorry for Jared. This is the amount of food a 5-year-old would have for dinner. He's probably eating all kinds of shit after Ellie goes to bed lol
That's not even a dinner plate! What in the hell!?

Catching up on vlogs, and isn't Ellie supposed to have a huge stockpile of food? How was she out of everything for muffins? Isn't that against her religion?

Jared also got 3 mini muffin's for breakfast. I would love to see my husbands reaction to me offering him nothing but 3 tiny muffins for breakfast and a tea saucer half full of steak and zucchini for dinner. No other sides? I best they split ONE steak between the 4 of them..

I honestly don't feel bad for Jared. I've been married 17 years and a huge part of marriage is communicating with your spouse. If he can't get across to her how tiny/ridiculous these meals are then that's his fault. Jared could learn how to cook too.

Jared, if you are reading this - if you love be your wife talk to her about her eating issues/insane sizes and get her some help. It's not healthy for any of you.

Who eats in front of their kids like this? They looked so hungry and desperate but she would only give them crumb sized bites.

I also wonder about her big fancy pantry that was supposed to be "so fun!" Yet, all we've really seen of it is the infamous jug of cheese balls that peeks out on occasion.

....maybe she really just likes Jackson's kitchen with the play food better? Image

Someone who has carefully portioned out there food will do that. Someone that is hungry and clearly has an unhealthy relationship with food. This reminds me of Jennifer with her tiny bag of pretzels for the road and how she seemed really annoyed that Jackson was eating them (poor kid was probably starving!)

Why not get the boys their own if they are hungry? If my kids are hungry, I feed them.

Especially since last year, when she first got so drastically skinny, she kept saying, "I try to gain weight, but I _can't_". She can. She gained weight when she thought she was pregnant, and it was way too early for it to be gain from the pregnancy. She can drink Ensure. She can make milkshakes. Add avocado to things. She likes avocados.

She doesn't want to gain weight, she just wants people to shut up about it.

I'm on a pretty strict diet to LOSE weight and my portion sizes are so much larger than theirs (and im not hugely overweight either, just wanting to lose 20-30 lbs, its not like i'm trying to cut 100lbs here and need larger portions.) Someone needs to buy ellie one of those plates i have seen online that sections out your correct portion sizes for you. Just a heads up Ellie, the correct healthy portion size of lean protein is the size of your fist. And not your boney little fist for your husband either, it would be the size of HIS fist. Jared's steak was about the size of Jackson's fist.

This is my reality! Haha I would much rather cook than clean. That probably explains why my kitchen is much messier than Ellie's. I am so jealous of that kitchen and pantry!
