OkOscarSleepsAllDay
Re: OkOscarSleepsAllDay
Oscar is going to ruin her trying to get an education... he sleeps until 2 pm and then still barely does anything with the kids which leaves her barely anytime to do her schoolwork except for when they go to bed at night!

Went to watch the OCD video and the ad beforehand was for Plan B
But anyway... I wanted to talk about Oscar being so unhealthy? He was explaining how he wanted to get to 135 in 30 days... and I don't know his starting weight, I'm sure he's way too high to shoot that low in 30 days. And his explanation of why he doesn't do cheat days - "you undo all the work you've done all month" ummm no? That's not how calories work? And I hate that he talks about that stuff when most of their audience is young girls...

Re: OkOscarSleepsAllDay
He definitely has an eating disorder or serious body issues. He was super healthy for years and then all of a sudden has one dessert and gains 30 pounds in a couple months from binging on unhealthy foods. And then turns around and restricts his calorie intake and works out every day to lose weight as fast as possible. I wish he would talk to someone about itcklein31 wrote:Went to watch the OCD video and the ad beforehand was for Plan B

They're also signed to the James Grant group (who Kim works for), so yes they are signed to a management company. Cloe Couture is also signed to them which explains why they were involved in one of her videos.Ilovecats wrote:They have a manager. Re: OkOscarSleepsAllDay
Obviously that in itself is an issue and I truly do hope he gets the help he needs, but it really really concerns me that their fan base is all young girls - and this is just an assumption but I feel like the little girls that get OBSESSED with them, making multi-platform fan accts, blindly defending them, etc are the type to be insecure and hearing one of their ~idols~ say that THAT is the way to be healthy might really convince them that's ok?! And that is so so scary to me. I'm also really annoyed Kyra hasn't said anything about it? She has to be more aware than that about healthy eating and exercise, right? To clarify about the Kyra not saying anything: in COTD someone asked how Oscar stays so dedicated to healthy eating, and Kyras answer totally validated all of Oscar's crazy unhealthy and disordered behaviors. :/

Re: OkOscarSleepsAllDay
why is it that anytime levi isnt bouncing off the walls and responding to oscar's questions that he asks every 2 seconds that levi doesnt even understand, they just assume levi is tired. NO. Your kid is content or processing things or not paying attention to your annoying face.

He's not. That's why he's sleeping 12 hours a day lolsoul_in_a_earthsuit wrote:sad that all oscar seemed to eat that day was a salad that was at best 200-300 cals. Geez. how is he functioning?!

I don't think she really looks like Jack Jack. I mean you can take any baby with Jack Jack's hair/skin color (and of course there are MANY of them) and slick their hair up and say they look like Jack Jack so...

Re: OkOscarSleepsAllDay
I'm so proud of Kyra. Not to stereotype, but a lot of people who have kids as young as Kyra and Oscar did are often stuck in a funk of anxiety and depression, because they had often quit school and they have nothing to lean on as a job, and they often don't have family to support them.
Kyra said she grew up in a non-wealthy family, and Oscar grew up in a family where teen pregnancy was usual, and they pushed past that and created a lovely life for themselves.
Obviously YouTube only can help you so much, and I'm so happy that YouTube got them so far, but it can only grow so much, and I'm so happy for them that they are looking into school and jobs, something that will make them happy and ensure financial security- Kyra into college with her GED and getting a job in Psychology and working with kids, and with Oscar looking into being in the real estate business.
I'm also so proud of Kyra to help herself with her depression and anxiety and to go get professional help, because that can be really hard to do, especially when you are in the public eye.
In general, I'm just really proud of them and how they are stepping up and taking a hold for their life! I'm not always happy with their decisions- but I'm really happy with this one!

Re: OkOscarSleepsAllDay
Is 135 even a normal weight for a man Oscar's size? Idk his videos on his weight loss have made me that much more self-conscious about my own weight. I've put on 20 pounds in the past two years (thanks to a combo of medications that can cause weight gain as a side-effect and switching to a desk job/not exercising at all--which is bad, I know, but it's hard to motivate myself to work out after a 90-minute commute home) and I'm now 135 pounds, the most I've ever weighed. I'm 5'4, so it's technically a normal weight, but I still want to lose the weight. Then I see Oscar talking about how he wants to get down to the same weight as I am, and it's like "wow, if a guy who's probably taller than me wants to be my weight, I must be really fat."cklein31 wrote: But anyway... HONESTLY THOUGH!!!! He acts like he has NOOO idea why he sleeps so much but uhhhh hey pal! A symptom of anorexia is sleeping a ton because your body has so little calories, it literally can't function properly to stay awake.Ilovecats wrote:He's not. Also not saying he's anorexic - bc im not a dr and I don't know him personally and even what I do know, he doesn't meet the criteria. But he has hella disordered eating!!! I hope they read this forum sometimes and one of them sees these post bc jeez !! That's an awful for their kids and fans and OF COURSE for himself.

Re: OkOscarSleepsAllDay
Something about Oscar's diet that might explain it a bit might have to do with him being a former athlete. I'm a competitive athlete, and have been for my whole life. We have strict diets, and eat in a way that average people cannot because it's not healthy for them. In my scenario, I have to eat a lot of carbs, but if I wasn't working out 3 hours 6 days a week that would make me gain weight. I know that boxers & wrestlers have to calorie restrict on many occasions to fit into weight brackets/other reasons. I feel like he hasn't let that mentality go, and he still thinks he should be eating that way. Running on the treadmill for an hour or two isn't the same as boxing for that amount of time. Different sports require different meal plans, which is why many coaches hire dietitians for their teams. I'm not sure how long he had been a boxer/MMA fighter, but if it was for most of his life then I'm sure that mentality is still very present. If I stopped swimming competitively, I'd blow up like a balloon (as I'm sure Oscar did when he stopped fighting). It's just the way athletes are taught to eat, and it's very hard to break those habits after 12 years of doing it. I have to feel sorry for him because I don't think he realizes how bad what he's doing is. I wish he'd get help from a professional trainer or dietician to achieve realistic goals.
