Re: Not Enough Nelsons | Cringey LDS MegaFamiLee
The other kids are bigger than him and might have been fine without a booster. Or he could have been the only little one in the car at the time. It definitely looks like a head injury. They posted a short story on Instagram where he said thank you for your prayers but no other information was given.thesemouse8 wrote:I am also wondering what happened. I feel like if it was a car accident, more people would be hurt, not just one kid. I also noticed that in the picture he has a vomit bag and a pulse oximeter in addition to the cuts on his head. Maybe some sort of head injury? I'm sure we will get some sort of very dramatic vlog about how they prayed for him to be okay and now he is!!! keep the christ in christmas!! follow the prophet!Exploradora wrote: ↑Wed Dec 09, 2020 11:46 pm Does anyone have an idea about what happened to Beckham today? They posted a photo of him in a hospital bed with some major bruising on his head.
My suspicion is a car accident. Their "party bus" is insanely unsafe and I never see him in a booster seat(not that it would matter on side-facing seats with seat belts that aren't bolted to the vehicle frame anyway). If that is the case, it makes me so sad that it could have been prevented.
Obviously it is all speculation at this point and I hope him and everyone else is okay.

Either quarantine the kids away from the family or don’t, don’t do it for half an hour before their test and then not for the rest of time! Also wtf is with taking a photo of the kids getting tested? Is the vlog not enough?
How far behind are they? When are we likely to find out about Beckham?

Re: Not Enough Nelsons | Cringey LDS MegaFamiLee
Beckham got hurt at school when another 4th grade boy ran into him accidentally. Both boys hit their head apparently and wound up at the hospital but it was worse for Beckham. He was okay at first but then he stopped talking and he started vomiting from the time he was in school, in the family friends car (Kass, Delaney, and mom were out shopping) and in the hospital. Long story short he had such a bad concussion that for a while he didn't know who his father was and he kept passing out. They had the option to keep him at the hospital or take him home so they took him home. he seems better now.

I feel so sorry for Beckham. The older kid probably feels bad too. Hopefully he'll watch where he's going when running around smaller kids.
In the video, you can tell that Kass is pissed she couldn't go in the hospital and got "kicked out". There are different rules now about the number of visitors and it wasn't essential that she was there, so I understand the hospital's policy completely.
I am also glad that Tiffany talked about the importance of wearing a helmet because so many people end up with avoidable brain injuries.

Re: Not Enough Nelsons | Cringey LDS MegaFamiLee
It's concerning how bad some of their kids' spelling is, particularly on their Christmas Lists. Luke is what, 11? And he spelled apple as 'allpe', pen as 'pean', shirts as 'shrits' and shoes as 'shous'. I don't know if he was just trying to be funny, but there were a couple of things that Tiffany seemed to skip over because she couldn't pick out what he meant.

These particular mistakes actually look a lot like dyslexia. Maybe he does have it and they're addressing it privately..overthewater wrote:It's concerning how bad some of their kids' spelling is, particularly on their Christmas Lists. Luke is what, 11? Yes, hopefully they are dealing with it either way. As with any learning disability, there's plenty that can be done to help, but the earlier they address it the better.Hallie Derosa wrote: ↑Sun Dec 20, 2020 2:26 pm I thought he was being funny but yeah I hope if he has dyslexia they are dealing with it my Friend has it she had it since child hood she wasn't diagnosed until she was an adult

That's DeLayNee (not sure on the spelling). She seems like a sweet kid.
Did anyone notice that only ElleCee and Beckham had to share a phone? I assumed it was because they were the two youngest, but PresLee and ElleCee are the same age and she didn't have to share. I know it's not an important issue, but of course it might seem like it to a little kid.

Maybe ElleCee and Beckham don't have as much anxiety? Also, Beckham is a Kondergartner. He wouldn't be able to call his mom on a phone, and he would probably get his teacher to do so.overthewater wrote:Yes, hopefully they are dealing with it either way. They really don't seem like the kind of people who treat bio vs adopted kids differently, I think they had their reasons.
I have plenty of criticism for them, don't get me wrong, I just don't think it was an adoption thing. Also, I know you didn't insunuate that, I just meant it could be inferred and a lot of people are probably thinking it.

I’m happy Tiffany & Benji didn’t get the kids iPhones because I don’t think kids that young need an expensive phone like that. These phones seems perfect for the kids. LiLee’s reaction was so cute and real!

That was SaiDee! LiLee is fourteen, a freshman, and had been shown to have an iPhone, which I think is alright for her age. I was a bit confused, NayVee has been shown to also have an iPhone on their "stranger danger" test video, and she also has Instagram and TikTok. I wonder if they thought she was too young for it and "demoted" her? Or if it was all for the video?HeyKatie wrote:I’m happy Tiffany & Benji didn’t get the kids iPhones because I don’t think kids that young need an expensive phone like that. Re: Not Enough Nelsons | Cringey LDS MegaFamiLee
I've been occasionally watching this family's videos for a few months when I see them on my home page. I have my qualms but overall they seem not as bad as some family channels, although recently they seem to be getting worse with things such as exploiting their childrens' injuries for videos.
My question, however, is does anyone know what happened to Bridger? He was gone and then came back and apparently was in rehab, but now he's been completely gone again.
Also, I was reading through this forum and some mentioned a while ago how there seem to be a lot of religious families on youtube (and specifically mormon). I can't remember where it was that I saw this, but a possible reason is that it's a great and easy way to recruit people to the church - people see these beautiful families with these seemingly perfect lives talking about their church and they want to join too.

I'm fairly certain that he is back in rehab. He's been MIA from Instagram since July and TikTok since August.plentyof123 wrote:I've been occasionally watching this family's videos for a few months when I see them on my home page. Re: Not Enough Nelsons | Cringey LDS MegaFamiLee
Jaine recently posted a Instagram post with her bf? But he took another girl to a dance? Someone said in the comments it's a rule. I was curious and looked at the bf's IG and he has a different date every dance almost as well as the girl he took to the most recent dance. Is this some type of LDS rule? I'm curious because I've never heard of that. Also, what is preference dance?
Is there a discord for this thread? I'm new!

Re: Not Enough Nelsons | Cringey LDS MegaFamiLee
The person commenting about rules was talking about COVID rules. They were in a giant group with no masks. The one dance it looks like Cam went with a girl and Jaine went with the girl's boyfriend. That's weird, but the other dance you're talking about is from a year ago.nessanugget wrote:Jaine recently posted a Instagram post with her bf? But he took another girl to a dance? Re: Not Enough Nelsons | Cringey LDS MegaFamiLee
LDS teens are not supposed to have serious, steady relationships. They take relationships very seriously, and the only reason for serious dating is to eventually get married. So there's no reason for teenagers to have serious relationships if soon the boys will go on a two year long mission.
Every able man in the Chruch is expected to go on a mission. Parents teach their boys to save money for their mission from a young age. No "respectable" young Mormon girl will consider seriously dating a man who is not a Returned Missionary. Girls are also encouraged to go on missions, but they're not expected to.
Young men are only encouraged to look for serious relationships once they've served their mission. Young women are only encouraged to look for serious relationships after age 18.
That being said, the Church also encourages teenagers, aged 16 to 18, to casually date. That can mean group dating, but it also can mean having a different date every time, so you don't get too attached to someone you know will spend two years in a mission not too long from now. This was very clearly exemplified by Shari from 8 passengers a while ago. The goal for that is to get acquainted with the opposite sex and gain experience.
Even though the Nelsons seem to take their religion very seriously, it would appear that KassaDee dated seriously through High School and then went on a mission at the same time as her boyfriend. When he returned, they married. This arrangement is becoming more and more common as more and more young women are choosing to serve missions, but girls are discouraged to "wait" for their boyfriends. I would bet Jaine is planning on doing something similar.
The mission culture is the reason it seemed so odd to me that neither Bridger nor Trey served one. I'm sure they have their reasons, though, and we can very easily guess what Bridger's were.
I'm an ex-mormon, I'm not going to diss on the religion, suffice to say I don't love it too much.
