ThisGatheredNest: Lip Fillers and Lil Critters | Part 3
Re: ThisGatheredNest: Lip Fillers and Lil Critters | Part 3
I have only just caught up on the last few vlogs but I'm shocked no one has talked about BB8 falling in the goat water yet!! My jaw dropped that they just played that off as nothing, he could have genuinely died. They have shown the goat water a few times and it seems reasonably deep, if he had fallen in there and hit his head he could have very easily drowned. Kids can drown in 2 inches of water and the goat's water is definitely a lot deeper than that.
Im not blaming CR or anything because accidents do happen, but I hope this encourages them to try to install some kind of contraption that would prevent a child from falling in, maybe some kind of mesh (that would also stop leaves etc) or even some of the no-climb fencing, something that can sit in the water and prevent animals/kids falling in.

So this is my first ever post on this Forum. Hope it works.
I've been following this lady for years, first with Joy, then with horror and now jus not so much because the crazy train is too much.
But when I notices that my audiobook subcribtion had her book, I had to listen to it. Dang it is full of Jeesus. Way more than on the vlogs.
The chapters about her twin pregnancy are just horrific. I just can't believe She insisted on going through it all with five live children home.
That wasn't even why I had to register.
SHE QUOTES "HER FRIEND MYKA" When taking about adopting from hard places.
Just wow.

I think the Myka scandal hadn't happened yet when she was writing the book. That part will probably be edited out if there are future editions coming.goodgirlriri wrote: ↑Tue Dec 15, 2020 2:00 am So this is my first ever post on this Forum. Hope it works.

I’m getting that weird feeling we’re being watched here, as two of my concerns were addressed in recent vlogs (no Ivy and sweaters on the animals). I have a soft spot for the twins since I followed her pregnancy along with my first pregnancy, so when it looked like Ivy had a similar speech delay as my son, I was wondering how she was doing. So I was glad to see her playing with Amelia and Rosie. There was more Ivy sightings in two vlogs than there was in the past year, possibly.
That’s interesting that Angie would ever shout at Myka in her book, as I had assumed Angie was the one who inspired Myka to adopt. From the footage of their brief meetup at the kiddie gym, it didn’t look like they even got along.

I know right? Obviously accidents happen. My issue with this is that the baby was crying and Angie was just laughing it off... The thing about kids and accidents is that people tend to assume that awful results only happen with other people and it could happen to anyone. It really seems like they're bitting more than what they can chew with so many kids, animals, renovations... I'm sure Angie will be coming with other stuff to add to the picture because she just can't live without the excitement of something new.mouse268 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 6:24 pm I have only just caught up on the last few vlogs but I'm shocked no one has talked about BB8 falling in the goat water yet!! Re: ThisGatheredNest: Lip Fillers and Lil Critters | Part 3
I also thought that Angie had a huge fear of the kids being around water? It kind of strikes me that CR is way more maternal with the kids than Angie is? I guess though one of the impacts of making a living from vlogging is that it can change the way that you interact with your kids - camera first/ talk to the camera instead of engaging properly with your kids? The money that they are throwing at the instant farm must be huge - notice now that there is no talk at all of the parents building or re-locating a house onto the property? That was the initial plan?ins93 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 3:59 amI know right? Obviously accidents happen. My issue with this is that the baby was crying and Angie was just laughing it off... Right? Her reaction was so strange. I believe she said CR only turned around because BB8 was crying BECAUSE he was in the water. Obviously it was a freak accident but generally most child drownings are freak accidents. I’m going to talk about my own experience with a family friend down below but it is quite graphic.ins93 wrote:I know right? Obviously accidents happen. My dads best friend owned a small property with dams. He had 2 young boys but knowing they had water on the property they were both taught to swim (in pools and the dam) from a young age and they were both super confident swimmers and they were able to swim in multiple bodies of water. One day, the younger of the 2 boys was riding his bike as they always did. I guess somehow he flipped the bike and his head got stuck in the mud and he couldn’t get out. It absolutely destroyed everyone and was so shocking because they knew how to swim and were taught to swim in dams.
Freak accidents happen, and the way Angie was just laughing about it was concerning because he genuinely could have died. If BB8 had hit his head and knocked himself out he wouldn’t have been able to cry and alert CR.
I think they are both good parents and both genuinely love their children. I’m not doubting that for a single second. However, Angies reaction to the whole situation was alarming to me

This is? Strange? Considering they barely leave the house I don’t understand why she needs a personal assistant. It says they have to like kids and animals so I assume the successful applicant will have to deal with kids and animals. Is there a reason she doesn’t just hire a nanny? I understand with 8 kids there is a lot to do every single day but their vlogs aren’t exactly revolutionary, it wouldn’t take much to edit them. CR is always around and the older girls seem to love doing everything with the animals so it seems like Angie should be pretty set with just looking after the kids (bare minimum expectation of being a parent) and editing a few videos. If it’s really that much maybe she should consider putting some of the kids in school?lpais98 wrote:anyone see this on angie's insta stories? like... there is just way to much to discuss here haha

I wonder if there’s a perceived sense of safety living on such a huge property, that they may not think about the little things that could hurt the kids. I cringe seeing the kids outside barefoot, especially Benji. I have 15-month old twins, they can’t keep things out of their mouths. He needs to be watched closely. I also cringe seeing goats in the house. Maybe there’s a difference with goats raised alongside children from the beginning, but it looks dangerous.mouse268 wrote:Right? Her reaction was so strange. I’m guessing the assistant will be helping her film and edit and deal with her influencer/YouTube career overall (maybe help set up meetings and such, answer emails or screen emails, prep videos... maybe?) since she has a ton of animals and kids around they have to like them lol I doubt there will be caretaking but I could be wrong. With help ideally she can spend more time being mom and CR and the older girls can have weight lifted off them. (But maybe that won’t happen given she added so many animals to her/their plate)mouse268 wrote:This is? Strange? I think she should send the oldest girls to in person school (at least high school) and Rosie since she is special needs and can get a professional’s help.

Keep in mind
1) she has recently started working with a new “management” company. This is when her affiliate links became more consistent, she had also began updating her more info under the clogs more than she used to with these links.
2) her “private group” is with the Minimal Mom and Farmhouse on Boone. I don’t know as much about the Minimal Mom but Lisa from Farmhouse on Boone is very open about how she’s become more successful (sole provider, paid off house, etc). She had stated that affiliate links are a big source of income (see above) AND Lisa has a team working for her. They help her turn her vlogs info blogs (complete with those affiliate links!), edit, plan, photograph, etc.
My guess is the more Angie has got to know Lisa’s model she is leaning and working to expand in the same manner.
Do we know if Angies virtual assistant still works for her?
Any theories on the time off and “changes”?
I do get in part they have guests (she mentioned her Grandma) for Christmas and don’t want Covid speculation issues

I think it was refreshing to hear her talk about her worries about taking a break and how that could affect the algorithm. I feel like they are quite well off for money but this is the main income and I think it's sad that she is stressed about taking time off in the fear that it could affect the income. Obviously, she can just come back but interactions with her post would be down and that affects sponsorship money. It's rare to hear "influencers" talk openly about that kind of stuff and I found it refreshing.
Hopefully the break doesn't affect her sponsorship and income too much so she knows she can actually take time off to spend with her kids sometimes and be able to give them the attention they deserve

She goes on to say below that she knows there will be a lot of questions, which she will answer in the coming week. I know it was her choice to be public, but I feel bad that she’s in the position of having to explain this after everything she and Peter have worked up to.

If they both were super serious about fostering they would of used protection imo I understand they had to put it on hold due to the pandemic but again. Protection.

Oh yeah, for sure. It's a pet peeve of mine when people have a lot of kids and then act like they don't know how they happen; Ashleigh was candid when pregnant with Ruby about how, though she and Peter weren't trying, they weren't preventing either, so I think that gave her a sense of control this time around. She mentioned tracking her cycles, so maybe they thought that'd be enough to get them on track to fostering eventually... I definitely think that they could have done more, but it's no more or less embarrassing having to explain.devilishtenshi wrote: ↑Sat Dec 26, 2020 4:07 pm

I also just went back to Angela's last video to see what she had to say about taking a break (which I think is so interesting and refreshing as well, considering she admitted that even she thought her own vlogs were boring and she was miserable making them, lol), and I found this gem of a moment! Starting the countdown until Angie feels "called by God" to adopt BB9. They both need to get some help for their baby collecting addiction and focus on the kids they have (especially Ashleigh and Peter who seem like they can barely financially support the kids they have and aren't even helping kids who are already born but keep making new ones. Also, if you have 8 kids and "aren't trying, aren't preventing", you are TRYING. Jesus, someone send these people back to basic sex ed.
Re: ThisGatheredNest: Lip Fillers and Lil Critters | Part 3
I feel like an a-hole for even thinking this, but the back and forth competition between the sisters is so well-timed, I can’t help it. It’s like this pregnancy is a reaction to Angie getting this huge property and house, at least Ashleigh has her fertility, so take that!Anne Bonny wrote:Starting the countdown until Angie feels "called by God" to adopt BB9. Also, thanks for rubbing in the fact that you do are “loaded” and ultimately didn’t change anything about your Christmas shopping in 2020, as you alluded to in your shopping vlogs. Seeing the twins in those personalized Jeeps (IG post) almost made me cry that we can’t do that for my kids most years, let alone this one, that we’ve been struggling through since April. That’s totally my problem, not theirs, but that is my reaction to seeing shows of wealth all over social media from these families.
