Well really I didn't know I HAD to explain anything nor did I really want to make this public information. I am not a YouTube mother and I don't understand why anyone would think this much about it. I have stated it a few times and that should have been enough. If you don't believe me that is fine, you are entitled to that. I would just like to make a damn post on this website without being questioned on things that have nothing to do with the subject and it is obviously not a pleasant thing to talk about for me. I come here to get away from my personal issues and watch other peoples, not explain every detail to people I don't even know just to get them off my back.OhReallyNow wrote:I was going to just say get better and hope all works for you, but you have NEVER explained anything to ME so stop being so snarky. I simply asked a question. Christ.

Re: Off-Topic Banter
Your private medical conditions are your own business but I am extremely sympathetic. That sounds horrible and I do hope you get well soon.
I just found it extremely odd that, as ORN said, you didn't offer any words of advice to the girls seeking specific answers to health and pregnancy queries. I mean, that IS supposed to be your area of expertise and the best you can offer is to look it up on the Internet?
I don't know a doctor at all who would say that. In fact, every doctor I have ever seen would say to avoid looking conditions up on the Internet as you are sure to find the worst case scenarios and go into a panic.

I didn't give them advice because I knew that someone would be right behind me with google comments and the like, why bother? It's not worth the hassle.thegooseiscooked wrote:Your private medical conditions are your own business but I am extremely sympathetic. That sounds horrible and I do hope you get well soon.

Umm, where did it say you HAD to explain anything? Seems like you offered that information up. I simply asked about re-entry.
As much as you may want to believe I am THAT interested in you, I seriously don't read every post you make and you gave me too much credit assuming I knew the story. Why even offer up that you had X experience in Y subject if you wanted to separate work from play?
Re: Off-Topic Banter
You also missed all the comments where the girls said they couldn't find much on the internet.

Well until I encountered a couple of you wonderful ladies I actually enjoyed giving advice.OhReallyNow wrote:Littlewaltz wrote:Well really I didn't know I HAD to explain anything nor did I really want to make this public information. Littlewaltz, if you had actually EVER given coherent advice on this board, I would apologise and shut my mouth.
But I've honestly never seen you do that.

Well I have, and even if I hadn't I am not obligated to. I have other interest besides my profession, I don't have to jump up and say something just because I can...that is not why I am here.thegooseiscooked wrote:Littlewaltz, if you had actually EVER given coherent advice on this board, I would apologise and shut my mouth.

Re: Off-Topic Banter
Hmm..well, we will have to disagree on that.
I've only ever seen you use Dr Google.

Hence why I asked why even bring up your profession in the first place if you planned on keeping it separate.
Don't be so sensitive. Not many doctors are floating on these pages, and I still remember only asking you the question about re-entry.
Re: Off-Topic Banter
Anyways, every time we have a back and forth discussion/argument/debate/banter on here, all I can think about is how much all of those that are banned are just wanting to say and chime in. They won't even know where to start this Friday, haha.
Poor ladies.
Poor ladies.
Re: Off-Topic Banter
Yes, there used to be a smilie with its lips sewn shut. Unfortunately we didn't get that one. We got all the cutesy Japanese ones instead.
I remember it fondly.
I might not be in on Friday. I'm sure I've been cruising for a bruising.

Re: Off-Topic Banter
So because something I know is also on the internet that means I got it from there? You can get every textbook or every lecture I have ever had to encounter on the internet. I have talked to a few of these girls in PMs about things and they have all be very thankful. Just because I don't do it in the open and derail a thread doesn't mean it doesn't happen. Also again even if I never had it doesn't matter.thegooseiscooked wrote:Hmm..well, we will have to disagree on that.

Also that rule only applies to real-life situations.
Re: Off-Topic Banter
Tbh, if I were in medical field I wouldn't want to go around giving free advice to random people either. I would want to keep my work separate from personal life. I have few friends in a medical field and I don't feel it's right to bother them for free help. Just as I wouldn't press on getting a free haircut if I had a friend in the field.
This is just my opinion though.

Re: Off-Topic Banter
Honestly, I think it is rather careless and dangerous to seek any medical advice on the internet.
It's one thing to ask what type of expediences people have had, but I see a lot of women on the internet, especially on FB pages and groups, that are constantly giving symptoms and asking for medical evaluations or help. Blows my mind.

Imagine the amount of people trying to free ride on their "isortofknowyou" friends in certain fields.OhReallyNow wrote:Honestly, I think it is rather careless and dangerous to seek any medical advice on the internet.

You choose, but I want to be the lady (Err...man?) in the background watching.
