Re: Sam & Nia
I wonder if they'll mention the NatureBox thing in the vlogs.
What other companies would sponsor them? The only ones I can think of are Chick Fil A and Hobby Lobby.

Re: Sam & Nia
Sorry for the double post.
Just went on NatureBox's Facebook page and looked at posts to the page. People are mad about them dropping Sam and Nia. The angry people are saying that what Sam and Nia and Michael said wasn't homophobic, it was Christian. *eyeroll*

Re: Sam & Nia
If you're thinking of the same person I am, I remember he told a story about how he got hit on by them and both him and his wife acted so disgusted by it. I'll try to find the video.kayuhsee wrote:And he has made fun of patients too. It was about a year ago and I can't remember all the specifics but I think he referred to a patient as a "shim" or something. Either way he made a big deal about not being able to tell the difference and got backlash from it.DistantLines wrote:I just thought of something about Sam. He's a nurse at a hospital, right? Would this possibly get him in trouble with his job? He just stated on the internet, for the world to see, that he doesn't support the lifestyle of the LGBT community. This could potentially leave his job open for a lawsuit if Sam were to ever be working on a case with an LGBT patient and have it end badly. I'm not saying he gives subpar care to people who live a different lifestyle than him, but he's left himself very vulnerable to people being able to argue that case against him.
Re: Sam & Nia
I don't really understand their views... they don't support homosexuality but they have gay family and friends? They supposedly love these people but don't think they should be happy...?
And no, Sam, people weren't upset because you "took the topic too lightly," they were upset because you teach discrimination to your children. I don't care how much they say that they "love everyone," when your daughter says that it's okay for two men/women to get married if they want to and you tell her that's wrong, you are teaching her to be homophobic.

Re: Sam & Nia
The ones saying they did nothing wrong, they shouldn't apologize for their beliefs, "I'm gay and I didn't find it offensive", etc.
I don't think anyone is mad about them sharing their beliefs, it's the fact that Symphony's sweet, kind answer was not acceptable for them and they changed the wording to benefit themselves. And also the fact they probably had a long talk about how it is wrong after the camera was off.

Re: Sam & Nia
Yeah, those ones pissed me off. No, you should not have to apologize for sharing your beliefs, but only if you share them in a respectful manner, which the Raders did not. And I also didn't like that people were telling other commenters that unsubscribing because what the Raders said was rude and offensive is ridiculous. That's a perfectly good reason to unsubscribe.lizyfignewton wrote:The ones saying they did nothing wrong, they shouldn't apologize for their beliefs, "I'm gay and I didn't find it offensive", etc.

There are people trying to petition to get NatureBox to responsor Sam and Nia. Apparently it isn't fair that they got dropped, because "the kids liked it".
Yeah, the assassin dude was a bit harsh, but he's kinda right. And to answer Gabriel's question, yes, Sam is supposed to let Symphony figure out her opinions for herself.

Re: Sam & Nia
Their homophobia isn't what bothered me, that's been common in society for millennia. What pissed me off was their insensitive remarks when they're supposed to be portraying an image to be sponsered by nature box and the fact they're attempting to pass their high minded better than thou homophobic sentiments onto such a young child. If she were eleven or twelve and had a better idea of right and wrong it wouldn't bother me at all because their of an age to deduce and come to conclusion for themselves. There is no reason to be influencing your child about sexual preference at that age. Their response on how it BACKFIRED is what was most upsetting just because their five [sic] year old didn't illicit the response they wanted and wasn't acting like a brain washed puppet to prove even little kids think its wrong so therefore it's ingrained in the human psyche and those who don't conform are inferior. If I were NatureBox I too would have dropped them like a hot potato. Homophobia will most likely never not exist, but there's a difference between keeping your opinion to yourself and having an agenda. These two obviously have an agenda.

Why does Symphony have to know that NatureBox dropped them? They tell their kids way too much. I'm sure they're telling her that mean, atheists are taking money away from their family so she won't get things she likes or wants now.salviaplath wrote:They vaguely dressed the fact that they were dropped by NatureBox today.

Re: Sam & Nia
Do they never brush Abram's hair?! I get that they might like it long but at least brush it. Also were his toenails painted or was I seeing things? I'm surprised if Sam or the uncles didn't make a big deal about it because it's associated as gay and they've made their stance about them obvious this past week. Both of the kids are adorable but they seem to leave Abram unattended a lot IMO. He's 2/3 and Nia seemed to leave him outside with a hose he knows how to turn on?

Re: Sam & Nia
He is almost 2. And Sam said in the doorbell video they can be inside and now watch them on cam. No way. I'd let my 2 yr old out alone.

Re: Sam & Nia
Anybody could come by and snatch him while they were inside, aren't these the people whom weren't very discreet with where they live/address?

Re: Sam & Nia
Thier address is public on Sam's fb. They show the house number and say what city they live in. Thier street name was also in a video. If people really look they would find it. Those girls did the other day.kingoflove21vher wrote:Anybody could come by and snatch him while they were inside, aren't these the people whom weren't very discreet with where they live/address?

And their living their two year old outside alone for pedophiles to snatch when he's in a diaper often in their vlogs. Nice.foreversoulmates wrote:Thier address is public on Sam's fb. Re: Sam & Nia
They probably believe that God will protect them and keep anything bad from happening to their children because they're such good, moral Christians. Who needs to take care of your kids when you believe in God?
