As a paid professional KC has a responsibility to tell V anytime one of her children gets hurt. It doesn’t matter how small or if V was out shopping or sleeping, she deserves to know when her kids fall down. It’s more crucial when it’s a hit to the head.
I’ve worked with kids for about 10 years. if I had failed to mention a hit to the head to a parent and that child got a concussion I would probably be fired or put on probation.

I do believe it was wrong to blast her on social media, especially because she seems to treat her more as a friend.

The last part “Treats her more like a friend” is the problem.
I understand KC is close with David’s family and is V’s “friend” but technically KC works for them. It’s not like she is the neighbor who happens to babysit Lily and Charlie. She’s employed by a company, here from South Africa (I believe) and should be treated as such.

If KC was not a family friend and was a stranger babysitting- you and I both know that V would have made it a much bigger deal.
Anytime I have my niece, which is generally 2-3 times a week I always communicate to her Mom what we did and there is anything she should know, even something as small as the cat scratching her. I feel like it’s my responsibility to show her Mother that respect and I’m not a paid babysitter or anything.

Maybe Vanessa found out they're going to Disneyworld without and that's why she's finally talking about it, idk seems weird she didn't say anything right when it happened. She blogged about poor Lily's rectum and made posts about it when it happened, so why would she wait so long to talk about this?

I think she waited such a long time because she's worried KC might be going back. Like, if KC continues to work with other families besides Vanessa, KC is going to be in for a bit of a change up. I've known a few people who have had au pairs (usually because they're single parents with full time jobs), and their duty is to provide childcare and also to do basic household chores, not also act as a support system for the parent. But, these people tend to be older so they wouldn't see KC as a friend, they'd see her as an employee, and over time, as a close friend of the family, not as someone to go partying with.

Ok, I’m not 100% sure this is KC’s Au Pair company but she did go through training with them so I think it might be but....look at how much David’s parents are paying her to raise their grandchildren!

What a joke! I swear that’s almost as much as David makes working in the Navy. I would be so fucking embarrassed if my in-laws even suggested hiring someone to come live in MY house and raise MY kids bc I was sucking at life. I get that everyone needs help sometimes but how about don’t plan anything fucking kid if your husband is joining the military! Idiot!

It would be different if she actually took advantage of KC being here and went back to school or posted more on YT but this chic has done absolutely NOTHING but shop for ugly pottery. Damn, get it together.

I wonder who’s going to fork over the extra money to have KC stay longer? In-laws? Funny how this concussion “story” comes out days after they filed for the extension. If KC fucked up bad enough for V to embarrass her on the Internet, why would you even want her to stay?
Oh...that’s right, if she leaves you will actually have to raise your OWN kids! Can’t have that with all the new shipments expected at Homegoods and let’s not forget the crash diet that always begins in the spring.

I’m surprised KC even wants to stay. She seemed like she was looking forward to getting back to her life and Africa. What if this whole concussion story was bs to make KC feel bad and want to stay. I mean, where’s the footage? V has a history of grabbing the camera before she even thinks to call 911, what makes this situation different? Bc it was Cha-Lee and not Lily? If Vanessa was such a good mum and could recognise a concussion she should know to shine a torch in his eyes to see if they react. No dilation is a sign of concussion.
I don’t believe KC is in the wrong. Sound like Charlie just tripped over his own feet. I wouldn’t think anything of it either. I’d be saying to my kids ‘up you get, brush it off your tough’

Vanessa is such a bitch, poor KC having to deal with her. Toddlers are clumsy and they fall all the time, KC is with Charlie a whole lot more than Vanessa is and she would have noticed if he was badly hurt when he fell so I don’t blame her for not thinking twice about Charlie falling asleep in the car and just putting him into bed. She should have mentioned to Vanessa that he had a little fall at the park but he seemed fine when she dropped him off, but I’m sure that’s a lesson learnt for KC for the future. My kids school always calls me when my kids bump their heads at school because they have to (my son bumps his a lot ) and so I do think KC should have mentioned it. BUT there was absolutely no reason for Vanessa to throw her under the bus like that and shame her on the internet for a toddler falling at the park like KC is negligent and irresponsible.
Here’s an idea for you vanessa, WATCH YOUR OWN FUCKING KIDS! What was Vanessa doing while KC took Charlie to the park? Lying in bed eat junk food and watching Netflix or shopping for more ugly Rae Dunn garbage probably. The fact that a stay at home mother has a live in au pair is so ridiculous. There is absolutely no reason for her to even have KC, sure hire a babysitter once or twice a week to help out but a live in au pair?! So stupid.

If a kid trips and catches himself with his hand, and then dozed off after a day of playing at the park, even a veteran mother might think he was just tired.

I agree completely! I have anxiety and battled postpartum anxiety for years- I google everything, call the doc about everything, make myself physically ill with worry over my kid getting a small booboo. Even with that sort of anxiety, I never would think to worry about a small bonk to the head as Vanessa described it.

It was weird how she showed no emotion at all when talking about what happened but is throwing KC under the bus like crazy. I feel for KC.

yea i caught that too. it doesnt lead to it, but its dangerous because the signs of the concussion can manifest and go unnoticed if you're asleep and if its bad enough, you could never wake up. im sure thats what vanessa meant too but shes an idiot so she couldnt say it right

So on the new vlog its 8am shes complaining about the snow but still drives to homegoods. I'm assuming this was filmed on KCs day off which is why Nona is watching the kids on Nonas day off... V LITERALLY cant handle her own kids for one day and has to call her poor mother over early in the morning so she can run to her habit...

Vanessa lives in a state that tends to panic if a snowflake is spotted...I'd figure she'd be at home in bed or taking pictures of Lily and Charlie out in the snow for a minute before being like "Screw this get inside kids!" Good lord. My area is a little warmer than hers and I refused to leave the house yesterday because of the freezing rain, and I only left today to go to a convenience store to grab a quick dinner, a coffee, and a thing of dish soap. If you're risking your life for Rae Dunn you have a major problem. At least risk your life for Royal Albert or something nice.
