And he doesn't do any of the "not fun" dad stuff. Posie has a blowout, he passes her off to Sav. It's a matter of opinion if he is a "good dad". He allows Everleigh's bio dad to be put down in front of her, and by fans who only know their side of things. That's selfish. A "good parent" tries to respect and honor the other person, even if they aren't perfect. And he refers to Savannah's pregnancy with Everleigh as "the worst thing she ever did".
So I don't believe he's a good dad either. He's immature and it shows.

I didn't have a child out of wedlock, but if I had, I would never let any man refer to it as a "big mistake", and act as though he is magnanimous for "forgiving me", especially in front of the child.

I don’t get it. As a step parent, I would never say something like that. I would never even think it. Children are innocent. They do not ask to be born into their situation. I cannot stand people who hold children liable for their parents’ actions. Cole is your standard southern bred save-a-ho (for the record, I do not think Savannah was a ho or remotely close.) except his ego can’t handle the fact that Savannah had an amazing child with someone else, with genetics he can’t claim are his.

If you scroll through Savannah’s Instagram, she hardly ever mentioned religion before Cole. She completely transformed herself for his image, so it’s not surprising that Everleigh got caught in that transformation.

those insta stories made me super uncomfortable. I don’t know why but he did it, but i or my SO wouldn’t do that if we knew thousands or more kids were following.

His insta stories were out of line and as you said an insult to people that are deathly ill. I am surprised they didn’t tell youtube while he was sick for two months because that sounds like something they would talk about all the time and want sympathy for it. I hope if he did have one it wasn’t bad or something that could affect him long term.

It's like he doesn't think at all about what he says. He never actually said Everleigh is a mistake, but she's smart enough to follow his logic to its conclusion. If getting pregnant and having a child without being married is a big ,"mistake", then the product of that pregnancy is a mistake as well.
I'm sure he would deny it if confronted, but it's the end point of his reasoning.

You do have to be careful with how you phrase things to kids, my boyfriend's ex told their daughter that getting married was a mistake, but the whole reason they got married was because she was pregnant. Which, an adult can logically say "Ok the marriage was a mistake, but the child was not." But a child doesn't have the cognitive abilities to separate the two. It was so horrible. She was so devastated and felt like a total mistake. Calling Savannah's pregnancy a the worst thing she's ever done, and subsequently broadcasting that to millions of people for a paycheck will have to have a huge negative impact on Everleigh at some point.

Maybe she had it before even meeting Cole. We know she was on and off with Ev's father until she met him, and they said in their book that she finally 'confessed' to him that she slept with someone else besides Ev's dad between him and Cole.
