Re: Chloe and Beans: Part 7
While Chloe could very well be on the spectrum - it has nothing to do with her being a bully. She's made her world so she's at the top of the pecking order and nobody can say anything. If her family disagrees with her she cuts them out of her life. The control she seems to have on every aspect of her husband's life is not autism.
Yes, autistic women are different than men and we are diagnosed later if at all but let's not blame all her horrible behavior on her potentially being autistic.

Re: Chloe and Beans: Part 7
The whole teacher voice was strange. I don't think teaching comes naturally to Chloe and she feels like she has to prove that she has this whole homeschool life downpat.NotHateButUhh wrote: ↑Thu May 30, 2019 2:24 am Rufus in the feelings vlog. What makes you happy? When I make Felix sad. Uhh what else makes you happy? When Otto is sad. Such honesty. Cheeky bugger! Rufus is my favourite Dunstan kid. Finally some quality content lol. The whole parent-teacher dynamic is super weird though. If my parents spoke to me like in a "teacher voice" for lack of a better phrase, I would have been so creeped out.
I'm not sure on the autism. I see signs of anxiety. As in can't go out on the weekends, can't drive as some examples. I also think the sheltered life they live doesn't help. I can't see how Chloe would go working for 8 hours at say a supermarket?
Re: Chloe and Beans: Part 7
Chloe work when everything eventually goes pear shaped for them then Ro will be the one who is expected to go back to work AND he will still have to do everything in the house as well. She is lazzzzy af.

Re: Chloe and Beans: Part 7
I believe the reason Ro doesn't go back to work is he knows he'll still do all the cooking, cleaning, laundry and errand running. He'll also be expected to work around needing to drive her around and can you imagine her blowing up his phone when he's at work. Chloe is a master victim.
Also why I suspect he can't leave her. She'd walk into any mediation unbathed looking the most vulnerable and paint him to be a monster. She did this in her old blog act like her family was the worst when they were supporting her and her husband while they continued to get pregnant again and again.
Then the triplets and making money off them fell in her lap. Any scheme to avoid having to get an education and support herself and from her perspective it's worked so well.

Re: Chloe and Beans: Part 7
I never said Chloe is a bully because she might be on the spectrum, and didn't mean to suggest that any horrible behaviour is a result of her potentially being autistic. Like I said, my partner is on the spectrum (I have multiple traits myself), and I don't have a negative perception of people with autism at all. Quite the opposite. I was only trying to suggest that it might explain certain odd behaviours Chloe has like the colour coding of the bowls and plates to each child, the unusual clothing, buying new beds obsessively and so on, and how she doesn't engage in imaginative play with her kids. None of those things are bullying or bad parenting, and I'd actually have a much higher opinion of her if she is on the spectrum and these are genuine behaviours and not just something she "puts on" to be quirky for Instagram and YouTube. If she's genuinely quirky and a bit socially awkward then I respect that a lot more than someone who is just pretending. She's certainly not the worst parent on YouTube. Her kids seem happy and healthy (not to mention immunised, which is practically unheard of among homeschooling vegan youtubers), they're raised in a stable home, get taken to the cinema and museums and parks and indoor play centres, etc. I'm not convinced on the home education as they all get older. I think the older boys would be better off in public school. And there's plenty about her parenting that I either don't agree with or that makes me roll my eyes. I do think Chloe can be extremely nasty to people who don't agree with her, is lazy, and takes advantage of Ro. None of that has to do with someone being on the spectrum, though, and I don't think I implied that it does. I apologise if it came across that way, as I genuinely didn't mean to imply that any abusive behaviour should be blamed or explained away by autism, and mean no disrespect to anyone with autism. Sorry if I offended you.DoodleBop2 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 01, 2019 9:42 am While Chloe could very well be on the spectrum - it has nothing to do with her being a bully. Re: Chloe and Beans: Part 7
Imo Chloe is stuck at the emotional stage of a teen. Maybe she has some unresolved traumas she needs to work on if she doesn't want to keep repeting the same patterns again and again. Some of the stuff she does is what I used to do and think as a teen, and it was common for people my age. We grew out of it, not her.

You didn't offend me. I didn't quote you because I didn't want to single you out. The theory Chloe is autistic is one that comes up from time to time not just here and people will wonder if her behavior is all autism including her treatment of Ro and how awful she is to anyone who disagrees with her. I do agree some behaviors could be sensory or anxiety related.NotHateButUhh wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2019 9:34 amI never said Chloe is a bully because she might be on the spectrum, and didn't mean to suggest that any horrible behaviour is a result of her potentially being autistic. I also have wondered if some of her habits are related to her seemingly want to be part of the orthorexia community. She reminds me of women where their entire Instagram devolves into a display of behaviors for a certain type of attention. She wants to be different and unique really badly where as most autistic people don't want to be seen as weird she goes out of her way to be weird because she seems to want to be other.

How is it appropriate to focus on Felix's underwear in an Instagram story? Happy birthday, kid.

Re: Chloe and Beans: Part 7
I haven’t watched one of their vlogs in months because they are so boring and the constant over talking by Evan used to annoy me so I’m not surprised to see nothing has changed. He still over talks the others and buts in all the time.
I see what you mean Spoiled2bits about the hand flapping and Evan seems to do it the most and it was quite noticeable at the lemon tree. And the crotch holding with Henry, I just can’t
WTF though did they do to their lawn ? If I was the owner of their house I would be so pissed that they have managed to not only allow the lawn to die off but they have almost killed all possibility of it growing back. Good lord they are so lazy.
Our lawn goes a bit brown in places in summer but we would never allow for it to be completely killed off like they have. My father lives in the country where it gets very hot in summer, much hotter than Perth and he gets little to no rain all year round but he manages to keep his front and back lawn alive and green. It takes work to keep grass alive but we all know the Dunstan’s don’t like that “work” word.

Re: Chloe and Beans: Part 7
It's winter and we have a water restrictions from 1 June. You cannot use sprinklers. Also there's no point doing anything to that lawn until Spring. It will need a lot of fertiliser and water to bring it back. I would just stick to one section as otherwise it'll be very expensive.
What's with going outside with no shoes on? Surely clean freak Chloe wouldn't like dirt all in the house.

Re: Chloe and Beans: Part 7
My father also has water restrictions in country Victoria all year round, has way more extreme weather than Perth in summer and his lawn does not look anywhere near as bad as theirs. They have not done any work on maintaining the lawn at all, it’s just pure laziness on their behalf.Snap2it wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 7:46 pm It's winter and we have a water restrictions from 1 June. And what’s a bit of dirt, Ro is the unpaid housekeeper, he will clean it.
Re: Chloe and Beans: Part 7
Not wearning shoes outside is a very typical kiwi and aussie thing - we go barefeet a lot.
IIRC - didn't the landlords have their lawn professionally done just after they moved in?

I’m not surprised their lawn is dead.
A dry summer, followed by cold. Plus they do not give a shit. That’s the biggest factor. They wouldn’t have thought to take care of it.

Re: Chloe and Beans: Part 7
Chloe the "clean freak" lets her children be barefoot at the park or grocery store and lets them eat unwashed produce.
Being barefoot in your own backyard seems typical.

Re: Chloe and Beans: Part 7
I think I was a bit too dramatic about the shoes outside! I prefer to wear shoes when I'm in my backyard and I just take them off before I go inside.
I just watched the video where Chloe is showing us around the house for the first time. To be fair and honest the lawn to me didn't look that great back then. Chloe did say that they were going to revive it. Also at the side of the house empty veggie beds, which they could have used.
And the latest photo about how the curated photos of the lined up kids gets more likes etc then the candid ones. It's all about use engagement for Chloe.

Re: Chloe and Beans: Part 7
Lol the idea of Chloe, the queen of the kid lineup, saying she's going to post more of what she likes even if (pout) they don't get as much engagement. Even her candids are all edited to fit her current bright, orange toned aesthetic. Why pretend?
The vlog about the wasp nest (riveting) left in an interaction with Rufus looking miserable with a wet spot on his shirt that she asks if it's water and he says no it's wee...and she's just like, oh better change it, how did it get up there? and moves on to vlogging the favoured Evan. Like, really, you had to leave that in? Or if nothing else showcase an attempt to be a good mum and stop vlogging and return saying you've helped your toddler change his pissed on clothes? I swear she does none of the dirty work in this household, never has.
Also I like how after getting a bee tattoo she is retroactively all about bees and nature haha. She's like, oh I know a lot of you parents probably think it sounds really scary (regarding the kids observing bees, picking flowers for them)...uh? Not withstanding someone with allergic kids I think most parents are pretty matter of fact with "don't bother the bees and they won't bother you" but leave it to Chloe to think yet another basic parenting interaction is revolutionary. Long hair once, bees now, whatever will she think of next?

Yup, 3 empty vege gardens for growing stuff and "also there is some room along here by the fence if we wanted to grow more things".Snap2it wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2019 4:09 pm I think I was a bit too dramatic about the shoes outside! They moved in near the beginning of April last year and the lawn was almost non-exsistent. By the end of June it was looking mostly lush and green. So by all accounts, if they actually cared for it like they did originally, the extreme dryness should have passed and it should be back to nearing lushiness again.
Re: Chloe and Beans: Part 7
You are so right about leaving that in. Poor Rufus. Way to shame him about having wee on his top. That should have been edited out. No one needs to know that.ShudnaB3 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2019 5:22 pm Lol the idea of Chloe, the queen of the kid lineup, saying she's going to post more of what she likes even if (pout) they don't get as much engagement.
