Re: BritneyandCOVID: Social Distancing Who?! (Part 73)
I think it’s more ignorance than anything else. If you don’t know something and people come at you guns blazing it doesn’t help. I personally would have kept H rear facing until 4 but we couldn’t do it anymore in our car. He made it to his 3rd birthday rear facing which is better than 2. The AAP recommended rear facing until 2 so the spine had time to ossify. Now they recommend until the child meets a limit on their car seat. Another problem is that there are very few car seat brands that actually accommodate a larger toddler/small child that is approved in the US. Diono is a good brand but expensive if you want higher limits like I did. My car seat I bought myself for H was $400 retail but I got it on sale and had a 20% off coupon so it was $250. Most people can’t or don’t want to spend that much on a seat when they can buy a $100 seat that passed the same tests.Idontevenknow wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 10:11 am I'm tired of seeing false information, or any at all about car seats. Are Americans so ignorant about car safety? A child should be transported rear facing till the age of 4. Why? Because their spine and body structure can't handle a car accident /crash whatsoever. It's the proven safest way to transport a child. Also the brand doesn't matter. You need to buy a car seat that's been through severe test (like the Plus test, search for it). Chicco for example is a huge worldwide brand. Their car seats? Shite. Pure Shite. Go search the youtubes for the tests done to the seats. After the 4yr old mark they should still be on a proper car seat (not a freaking booster seat that's the same as not using anything), till at least 12yr old or height limit of the seat. So many uneducated people trying to bash Britney for not even knowing the brand of the car seat, but most of you don't have a clue about car seat safety. The internet has more to its use than rants and social media.

Also not everywhere in Europe is great about keeping kids rear facing. I’ve seen too many English Vloggers turning their kids far too soon like the SacconeJolys. But they are a whole other problem in themselves.
More people than not are rear facing until at least 2 in the states which is better than turning them at 1. It takes time to educate people and for that information to spread. Don’t put everyone in American in a box because you’ve seen a few mommy vloggers being dumb. I’m also interested in where you are from over in Europe? I know that Sweden is very good about young children’s car safety.

Good that you could do it till 3 yrs old. Better than nothing, but at 2 the bones are still not ready. It's only from the 4yr old mark that they could actually made it through a car accident. With the right car seat,of course. We don't have dionos here in Europe I believe or at least I've never seen them in stores. But there's brands like britax römer, cybex, nuna... that have amazing results on tests. When you say the passes the same tests, it's not really like that. They passed with much worse grades, but they're good for selling cuz they reached the bare minimum conditions, and I guess people don't really care to be informed, it's the "if it's put to sale its good and safe to use" mentality. Wrong.. I see families with several $k cars, ipads, iPhones,Apple watches, name brand clothing, etc etc but won't buy a decent seat cuz "it's too expensive". Or they just don't care. Information is the key, the internet is full of it and still we see these mistakes. Obviously not everyone is like that, but a gooooood majority of people are. Again, I'm not putting America in a box I just pointed out cuz were talking about an American ediot. And don't get me started on saccone joly's...... Im not here to educate anyone but it's honestly very very annoying to see people keep doing and saying the same crap over and over again and they don't even know anything about the subject. Just thatHannable971 wrote:I think it’s more ignorance than anything else. If you don’t know something and people come at you guns blazing it doesn’t help. I just wanted to let you know that Diono is in Europe as well just much less popular because it’s an American brand. I wish more people knew the dangers of forward facing too soon. I know that those brands aren’t as good in crash tests but it’s also all some people can afford. We have high populations of people that live at or below the poverty line. But I agree that the people that are most frustrating are those who have money and don’t care. I saw pictures of when Beyoncé went to Africa and the twins’ chest clips were on their stomachs.Idontevenknow wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 2:56 pmGood that you could do it till 3 yrs old. I could go on all day about improper car seat use. A car seat can only do its job if it’s being used properly. I think it would be better if America went to having no chest clips like in the rest of the world. It leaves less room for error for those who are too stupid to care.

Halfway through the video dingbat says this the first time they are letting in the cleaners back in, but they still came in to clean during the quarantine. She needs to not with all those "clean with me" videos when she still had cleaners in her home during this time. Then she tried to play it off how she felt "iffy" to have them come in. Make it make sense.
Re: BritneyandCOVID: Social Distancing Who?! (Part 73)
I know people have said that toddlers are bow legged and Scarlett will grow out of it, which potentially may happen, but her there’s something about her legs that look seriously off. If she doesn’t grow out of it, I think it’s likely because she’s a DMD carrier. Too bad Britney is too selfish and lazy to get her kids tested so she can address problems like these and try to help.

Thank you, didn't know diono was in Europe too. Gotta check the tests out. Does any of their seats have the Plus test?Hannable971 wrote:I just wanted to let you know that Diono is in Europe as well just much less popular because it’s an American brand. I know, there's poverty all over the world. Unfortunately.. And I'm glad that even when people can't afford a expensive good seat, at least they make an effort. But yeah, most of the people who have the money to make the good choices, don't. That's just dumb.
People who have access to the internet have no excuse to not know about car safety. Specifically those with children. Everyone gets offended when someone points out something that's true, but they love to do it about others. Hopefully someone who read this part of the thread actually went looking for information about it, It's always good to spread awareness.

There's so many ignorant people in the world, and I, again, will say, I only mention America because we're talking about an AMERICAN. Plus, it's true. People here talk to much about a subject they don't know anything at all. I just pointed that out and left some information to anyone who actually cares. Take care xx

She really has the balls to constantly rag on Harlow for being difficult and troubled, etc and then show her helping carry in groceries without being asked Lmaoooo
Also what happens if Scarlett is a carrier and is having symptoms? Frank won’t allow that. It’s only okay for the other kids to suffer.

I don't buy for one minute that they don't know the sex of the baby, it's a boy for sure. She doesn't want the heat or questions about DMD.

Can we take a second to talk about the title of the video? Wtf is a “nervous ultrasound”? This girl cannot speak for shit, I get so much second hand embarrassment hearing the things that come out of her mouth.

Also her having mostly girls she would choke up on saying “her “ when referring to the baby if she didn’t know the genderCommonlove wrote:Lol she's ridiculous.
Why would ANYONE say "oops" when saying accidentally "his" if she didn't know the gender. She would just have let it go and maybe corrected "or her". Or, if she really doesn't know the gender, she's still lying to everyone just to get attention and views. Because if she doesn't know the gender, she would have said "his" on purpose in that video.
But yeah, I'm still 100% sure it's a boy.
