Re: Steps to covering up your failure | Steps to Wander | Part 7
I love the irony of Corbin tagging that photo with “#dadsdontbabysit” but yet he’s making such a big deal about having his daughter for “a couple days” according to Kelsey. He made it sound like she would be gone all week, and even if she was going to be gone all week, so what? He wants head pats from the internet for watching his child, regardless of his claims that he’s such a progressive, involved father. I’m not terribly impressed that he’ll have his two-year-old alone for a couple days considering the only “job” he’ll admit to consists of uploading three 10 minute vlogs a week.
Good grief that thumbnail. “I’m already so uncomfortable in my daily life.” She’s like 26 weeks pregnant, I’m so confused. The second trimester is the best in my experience. I know people have different experiences and every pregnancy is different, but I’m genuinely confused by the amount of complaining she has done. If she was in her third trimester I would understand a little bit better. She’s either one of the unlucky ones to get muscle separation and an over abundance of relaxin that’s causing her ligaments to loosen too much, or the weight gain and shifts in her center of gravity are extra painful because she’s so out of shape. I’m 32 weeks and the only time I had to take a pain reliever was when I was caught off guard by my first migraine. What in the world is she going to do when she’s actually in her third trimester if she feels this crappy during her second? She been acting like she's disabled for weeks now. I’m still living my normal everyday life, with some minor inconveniences here and there, like pressure on the bladder, not being able to eat the way I used to, more difficulty bending over, etc. Maybe I'm just the luckiest pregnant person ever? I anticipate that changing as I get closer to the end, but I’m genuinely baffled by her. I would have zero interest in camping whether I was pregnant or not, but if she's in that much pain, she probably won't enjoy it.

Seems like he’s a boob guy and that’s all that matters to him as far as Kelsey’s looksrosie_dalia wrote:YIKES! Corbin really thinks this is one of his "favorite" pics of Kelsey??? This is such an unflattering pic and she looks like she's sulking. Does Corbin even like his wife?? Maybe he's just talking about her boobs?
I don't think I'd be to happy if my hubby posted a pic like that!! LOL!

Posting a photo on the internet that your wife "almost didn't let" you post because it made her "self-conscious" and then asking people in the comments to give her an ego boost? Why does he think this is normal? If the photo made her uncomfortable or she didn't want it publicaly shared, respect that. And don't ask for strangers on the internet to reassure your wife. He is so off his rocker.

Re: Steps to covering up your failure | Steps to Wander | Part 7
From what I recall, Kelsey also hated being pregnant with June, so maybe she just hates being pregnant. This time she did stop exercising immediately and she's obviously gained A LOT more weight. She was still running (or at least out and walking) while pregnant with June up until her due date—they didn't even have a car back then.
Also, they moved out of the van around 21 weeks with June, so she really can't say it was van life that made her pregnancy terrible.
Personally, I think it's her weight gain that's making her uncomfortable. She looks about the same as 8 months preggo with June, but she's only 6-ish.

Yes Kelsey post a picture where we can see right up your dress...that's cute....said no one ever!
Re: Steps to covering up your failure | Steps to Wander | Part 7
I had a funny thought... what if she’s actually farther along than they’re saying? Everyone here knew that she got pregnant earlier than they said. That would explain her size, the rush to get the “nursery” set up, June in school, why Kelsey is complaining all the time.
I’d be so mad if my husband posted a picture like that. She obviously wasn’t happy, yet he did it anyway. It was so unflattering. He’s such a douchebag!
I bet Kelsey is only going to be gone a couple of nights at the most. That’s what it was last year too. He makes it sound like it’s this he’s he deal.
I agree, why not show some of these things they’re so busy doing? Even June swimming. So guess his parents are still supporting them...she said his mom them a food dehydrator.

I think buying/giving away a food dehydrator vs paying your mortgage or light bill is pretty far apart. I used to think his parents were helping financially but now I’m REALLY speculating that he has a night time job somewhere. Kelsey waking up by herself and him not coming home til 7 in the morning kinda threw me for a loop.jmoysa wrote:I had a funny thought... what if she’s actually farther along than they’re saying? Re: Steps to covering up your failure | Steps to Wander | Part 7
I've always had the feeling Corbin runs all her SM (you can sort of tell by the way he writes)...and wasn't she supposedly gone on her trip yesterday?
As for him working nights...I thought they said he does CrossFit in the mornings, but that also doesn't make much sense because he tends to be the one who always sleeps in. He did an IG story a week or so ago and it was obvious he'd just woken up and it was at least 10:30 a.m. in Idaho.
Maybe he's working at the local news station in an overnight producer job?? I can't imagine what else he would do overnight.

Re: Steps to covering up your failure | Steps to Wander | Part 7
I heard her say he gets up early and does CrossFit to explain why he wasn't there. But the complete lack of Instagram posts bragging about CrossFit and the fact that I doubt they could afford it makes me doubt this claim. There are lots of jobs out there that offer night shifts. Delivery driver, security guard, night crew at a retail establishment, merchandise stocker, etc. Or he just has an early start time at work. My husband is long gone by 6:30 AM for his job because he has a long commute and works flex hours. I think if it was something related to journalism, he would have no problem talking about it, because he loves to exaggerate his career as a "journalist." If the job does exist, it's something he thinks is beneath him.

I seriously doubt he has a job producing the news. Anywhere. If he did, you know he would brag about it. There are tons of overnight jobs: 24 hour gas station, 7-11, warehouse jobs, cleaning, etc. That's about what he's qualified for.

Lol Corbin absolutely does not do CrossFit. He has some arm muscles and that’s about it. Everyone I’ve ever seen who does CrossFit is muscular all over.

That's probably true, but he's just such an a-hole I'd be surprised he take ANY job that he felt was beneath him. He'd also be an awful employee and co-worker.

What an awkward goodbye. Kelsey looked so confused and Corbin just walked away with June.

HUGE pet peeve of mine:
The title of today's video ("CUTE DADDY DAUGHTER DAY! Dad Painting Nails and Hair Styling!") is gross. And I don't mean it's gross that he's doing those things - I've always been a little skeptical of the criticism of Corbin's relationship with June, because I think it's great when fathers spend time with their kids. My husband does a TON of parenting with our daughter - as he should. But I think titles like this play into the stereotype that men shouldn't be doing those things, or that's it's shocking and unusual when a man does his daughter's hair or engages in typically feminine play with their children. Like it's a freaking news story when a dad puts a girl's hair in a goddamn ponytail. I mean, come on. Can he just take care of June by himself for a few days without highlighting all of the "mom" things he is doing while Kelsey's away?

Agree that good bye was so weird and Kelsey looked a little mad. I’m sure the whole thing was a set up. I actually think Kelsey was there filming the nail painting because the camera kept switching positions and I can’t imagine June would sit while he moved the tripod around.
“No time to clean or pick up the house” as he’s walking outside the house while June has been out there for how long alone? She picked a zucchini and took a bite of it what if it was something else or she fell into the pool?
A gate on their bedroom door? Keep June away from Paris? Noticed that the dishwasher install still hasn’t been finished.
This was Corbin trying to make it sound/look like Kelsey is going to be gone for a week but Kelsey said a couple of days. I still think he’s got some weird vibe with June. It’s just his whole controlling thing.

Re: Steps to covering up your failure | Steps to Wander | Part 7
Oh totally, he was turning the whole thing into a spectacle, as if it’s so noteworthy or unusual for a father to put his daughter’s hair in a ponytail or paint her nails. He wants attention and accolades for being a parent. Dude, that’s what you’re supposed to do when you chose to have children. It doesn’t make you extraordinary. He made the vlog title, thumbnail, and content all about how he’s parenting his daughter ALONE for a couple days. The fact that he draws so much attention to himself just undermines his narrative that he’s such an enlightened being. It has nothing to do with his child, and everything to do with drawing attention to himself.sasha186 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2019 7:27 am HUGE pet peeve of mine:

Re: Steps to covering up your failure | Steps to Wander | Part 7
I thought they'd said in the past she plays alone outside most of the day. I wouldn't think it was that bad if they had a window that looked out into the backyard, but the only window that looks into the backyard is in their bedroom.
Was this filmed on two different days? June was wearing the same dress, but Corbin changed shirts. Weird. I could see him putting her in the same clothes several days in a row while Kelsey was gone. LOL!
That puppet is creepy AF!
Re: Steps to covering up your failure | Steps to Wander | Part 7
Him highlighting the fact that he spent time with his child also kind of proves that Kelsey does most of the childcare. If it was as equal (or let’s be honest, one sided in his direction) as he makes out, this would not be a big deal at allHashtagBlessed wrote:Oh totally, he was turning the whole thing into a spectacle, as if it’s so noteworthy or unusual for a father to put his daughter’s hair in a ponytail or paint her nails. Don’t believe that they actually slaughtered the rooster themselves. You have to know what you’re doing and I’m not sure watching a video is going to teach that. These two think they’re “urban farmers” yet eat out a lot, and shop at Trader Joe’s. Nope, don’t believe them. Anything for this stupid failing channel.
So when the baby is three months old they plan on going somewhere warm. I figure they’re going back to Hawaii. They stayed there for free. That would be interesting with an infant and needing two car seats in that truck. IF Corbin has a job how would he get the time off, unless of course he’s working for his dad.
Wonder why no pictures of the camp trip? Corbin said in his vlog with June that they were going swimming lessons but they’ve never shown that. Today he said she was in lessons but is taking a break. Caught again, maybe she never was in lessons.

So they killed the rooster. I call it bullshit that they said they did everything themselves. I don’t see Kelsey killing a chicken. I bet Corbin enjoyed it though. He has something creepy lately.
