They are going to end up having to get a loan for the difference in what they owe on the house and what they get for it.

Yeah it’s going to be interesting. They might have to borrow from parents. These two are either lying about their finances being so bad for content or they are just stupid. They need to go to a actual financial peace university class. Usually you will find them being held at a church.FakingIt_MakingIt wrote:Lol, with their credit will they even qualify?? No way they are lying about how bad their finances are. If this were the case, Katie wouldn’t have to justify fitting frivolous things into her budget. She could just not vlog herself buying them.

If anything they’re lying to make it sound better then it is. Likely to themselves as well as their followers.

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
This might be a controversial topic, but I remember they said some of the $50 Amazon gift cards would be going to school teachers and Sunday school teachers. $50 EACH??? Yes, it's a kind gesture, but that's a pretty big gift coming from people who are completely BROKE AF. Same with the tithing. Save the money and pay off the debt.
It seems like they spend a lot on showing off. Their kids are in daycare. Do people really give $50 gift cards to daycare teachers? They probably deserve the gifts, but I get ONE $50 holiday gift card from my boss for Honeybaked Ham! LOL!! If those teachers are getting 20+ gift cards I should change my career!
OT: The heart-shaped pizzas at Aldi are $1.24 right now and don't even expire until 2/25 (at least from my store). I bought two! HAHA!

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
We budget $50 for each teacher for Christmas. We do cash with a hand written note. It is a big gesture, but we’ve always been so blessed with amazing teachers at daycare and at preschool. This year we did $15 each since he goes for only 5 hours a week. End of the year we normally bring in lunch for his teachers like CFA or Subway. I’ll probably do the same this year as well. I don’t mind spoiling them a little as they are taking care of my son and go above and beyond each day for him and the other students/families.
Nowwwww if I were 100,000 in debt and behind on multiple payments our gifts would look very different! And we wouldn’t be worried about little random holidays and birthdays. I can’t believe how they justify everything.

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
My children attend private school and we spend about $300 a year on teacher gifts. About $30 twice a year per teacher. This includes extra-curricular teachers as well.
That said, we have the money to do so, and the teachers go above and beyond for my children. Katie is trying to keep up a certain reputation and hasn’t admitted to herself yet that it’s one she cannot afford.

Yes! One missed mortgage payment will majorly ruin your credit. I stupidly mailed a mortgage payment and forgot to sign the check. My mortgage company reported it ASAP (before I was even made aware I didn’t sign it) and my and my husbands scores instantly went down almost 200 points. It was devastating. Luckily, I was able to correct it but it did take months to fix our credit and that was 1 missed payment over the course of 5 years.FakingIt_MakingIt wrote:Lol, with their credit will they even qualify?? There is no way they will qualify for a loan. Renting will even be a major issue for them. My husband is a realtor and a lot of the homes he shows require a credit score of 725 or above before offers will even be considered.
They are not taking this seriously at all. They need to wake up!!!

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
I kind of get the vibe they have given up and they are just in a holding pattern until the house sells. Something must have happened last summer that "woke them up" about their debt and they randomly hurried to try to sell the house. People trying to sell that kind of house would probably prepare and list it late spring (because it's a family house and families tend to move over the summer months), but didn't they list like LATE July??mollybaby wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 7:34 pmYes! I wonder what really happened last summer. Maybe their income really dropped off?? Something really triggered them to sell the house way faster than normal people would have.

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
They didn't go to the beach house last 4th of July, did they? Maybe that's when their family said they weren't helping anymore, and they needed to get their act together? Someone suggested that if they don't go to the beach for Spring Break it will be a big red flag, but they already have skipped a few big "beach house" holidays. And they didn't go to Alabama games in the VIP box last year. The games they went to, they went with Britany and Corey and sat with the peasants.
So the big red flags have been there for a while.

Have they been to the beach house with the family at all since LAST Spring Break?? They skipped Memorial Day weekend and 4th of July. They went by themselves once over the summer. Then they also didn't (I think) go for Labor Day weekend. They basically avoided Katie's family all of last year except for major holidays.lmmomSD wrote: ↑Fri Feb 21, 2020 9:32 pm They didn't go to the beach house last 4th of July, did they? It really does seem like there's a big family rift. I wonder if her parents hate Cullen??! I could see her parents being upset he's not providing for the family and the kids—especially after all his "addiction" issues last year.

Lots of arsepats today. Whoop de doo you laid some straw stuff (which looked pointless to me) by yourselves without getting help to do it. Thats what most “normal” people do.

If they were really "humbling" themselves, they would get JOBS. And stop with the "but we work so hard at social media" BS, and would let comments with constructive criticism post. And sell the status symbol Suburban.Haulnarse wrote:Lols - new vlog title “humble yourself through debt and struggle”....

Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
I just can't with these two anymore! They cannot be this clueless to how hard most people work everyday to maintain the their lifestyle.
Most families have at least one spouse working outside the home 40+ hours a week. My husband works at a family business and puts in 50-60 hour work weeks. He is salaried so there is no overtime. He still comes home and helps with the kids and does yard work.
I stay home with the kids while I am finishing my degree and even though I have a 2 and 4 year old I manage to get school work done and keep the house clean and cook 3 meals a day!
I have no sympathy for them, these to expect praise for doing what we all manage to do everyday! Dedicating $50 per teacher when you can't even pay your mortgage is just unbelievable. They should have gotten all gas cards and grocery cards. Buy tons of ingredients to make meals that can go in the freezer. Then you have meals for when things "get crazy". They are so stupid!
They have ruined their credit by this point and obviously don't realize that many landlords run credit checks before renting. They are going to end up in a one bedroom apartment if they don't wise up. I still don't see how they could even afford a 3 bedroom house to rent. In their area they are $2000+ a month, they can't afford that with their current expenses.

I couldn’t agree more. The majority of people don’t hire people to do what these two do.Boymomma123 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 22, 2020 4:14 am I just can't with these two anymore! They cannot be this clueless to how hard most people work everyday to maintain the their lifestyle.

THIS!!!
My husband is a teacher and a coach. He’s shadowing an admin in hopes to be an athletic director in 1-2 years. He doesn’t get home until 5 pm most nights (some nights 9pm if he’s covering a gate for a game). He helps with housework, bath and bed time, yard work, groceries etc. Everything. I’m at home with both our kids (almost 4 and 1). I run a full time business from home and take 1 class a semester. I wake up early, work during nap time, stay up late etc. I also do some schoolwork with my son during the week. The only help we have is my FIL who takes our son on Tuesdays from 1-3pm. And we have a mother’s helper (neighborhood girl who is needing babysitting experience) who helps once a week with dinner pick up and/or bath/bedtime. I loveee when she comes over. We budget $15 a month for her and she’s so sweet and great with the kids. She’s only 11.
To hear them talk about yard work being a humbling experience . Seriously??? And they recorded that on Friday? How do they NOT plan out content? If we didn’t plan out our lives, everything would fall apart. I know we have a lot going on right now, but even if we didn’t, don’t most people plan?!?! They are so annoying!!!
Re: Cullen and Katie: Shifty eyes and constant lies | Part #25
My understanding of real estate sales is that the longer the house sits on an active listing, the harder it is to sell. The same with multiple price reductions. Agents will see how long the house has been on the market, and the fact that the price has been cut several times, and see that as red flags.
I am also wondering if the rift between Katie and her sister may involve borrowing money that hasn't been repaid.

Also, I know she is sick but Gaines has been wearing the same pajamas all week long. Give your kid a bath and change her clothes, my kids love bath when they are sick. They are so lazy I just can't stand it.
