I agree with yogabbabat that playing and being involved with her children is one of the few redeeming and relatable characteristics she has left

Re: BritneyAndSoSoSo: Part 16
I don't want to see daily vlogs for all "31" days in June. For heavens sake, stop trying to be the cash cow and just take the time to play with your kids and take them out of the house without a camera shoved in their faces all month. Go somewhere, do something! Take a freaking class maybe. Read a book. Educate yourself. She sounds so dumb sometimes. If she stopped binge watching TV and started reading books, she'd at least be improving her vocabulary and learning new things. I don't like this new very superficial Britney.

This x 1000! How can she expect her children to be intellectual beings when she is unable to read a book. Children learn from what they observe. They observe her doing nothing but watch tv and clean all day.gypsophila wrote:I don't want to see daily vlogs for all "31" days in June. Also... she really needs to give credit to musicians when she uses their music on her videos. I'm surprised YouTube hasn't done anything about that yet - also when she uses someone else's recipe from pinterest, she really needs to put the information in the information box... it is basically plagiarism when she doesn't. If she went to a real school it would be natural for her to do these things...she is really irritating me lately.

Re: BritneyAndSoSoSo: Part 16
TRUE! I guess I never thought of it that way. We are home a decent amount during the day but we leave for at least an hour or two, and then I have homework to do when my daughter sleeps so I don't have nearly as much time as she does. I can't imagine sitting at home all day long like that. She should be working toward her bachelor's degree or something with all that time on her hands!WheresMyCoffee wrote:You also have to remember they rarely leave the house. Like, I have 2 kids roughly her kids' ages and we are gone either to the park, zoo, playdates or even just in the backyard every single day. Like most moms, then we cook. Britney is home all day, every day and usually does a slow cooker meal or takeout. WTF else can she do all day besides play ith the kids, watch TV and clean???LynnGLOVE8989 wrote:You make a great point - definitely priorities. I feel like she is so busy with her other "hobbies" that there is just no time to really sit down and interact. I could be jumping to conclusions but she is so focused on looking perfect that her energy is going into her picture perfect life. I hope I'm wrong but I just can't imagine - and if she is staying up all night to watch tv, that is probably why she complains about being tired all the time.WheresMyCoffee wrote:I dunno. I have two kids but I will stay up way after they have gone to bed to binge watch shows. I pay for it the next day though. My good friend has 5 kids, 3 of them under 3 and her house looks right out of a magazine. Clean and so beautiful! Its priorities and I dont mean that in a rude way. Some people wake up early.stay up late to clean the house or watch TV. It also doesn't look like she lets them take toys out of the toy room so that eliminates mess and they probably arent allowed to eat outside of the liuving room so again, eliminates mess. I think the real thing she hides is how much Ean is home and how much he helps out. Obviously someone is with the kids when she is filming videos...

Re: BritneyAndSoSoSo: Part 16
Not sure if anyone saw in the comments but Brit did confirm that they would like to have one more child.
I really think it would be fine if they had another child. And they could always do sex selection to make sure they have a girl, but it is super expensive.

She actually doesn't have to give credit to a recipe from Pinterest because they are merely ideas. Even the person that "created" the recipe can't claim credit for that recipe. Anyone can put ingredients together. I'm basing this on copyright law. Ideas are not protectable and B therefore doesn't have to include who she got the recipe from. Plus Pinterest is there for the sole purpose of copying.LynnGLOVE8989 wrote:This x 1000! How can she expect her children to be intellectual beings when she is unable to read a book. False. A list of ingredients is not copyrightable but a recipe is, as that is what you do with a recipe.TaraLas wrote:She actually doesn't have to give credit to a recipe from Pinterest because they are merely ideas. False.... The exact wording is protected but the recipe is not. Britney didn't use the exact wording and therefore can use the recipe without giving anyone credit.

Eh it doesnt matter about law. It is common courtesy to say "I found this on so and so's blog via pinterest" she has tweeted/snap chatted about people "copying" her but she does the exact same thing without giving credit. Even if she said "this is the original source of the recipe, which is where I got my inspiration but I changed it up a bit and will show you how I did it..." Again, common courtesy.

Re: BritneyAndSoSoSo: Part 16
I know this can be controversial but I personally think it would be very selfish and irresponsible of Britney to decide to have another baby without decreasing the chances of having another child with a MD as much as she possibly can ( yet Idk if she can do anything to decrease the chances of having another child with a MD). She said the chances of her having another baby with a MD is 25% and that is quite high in my opinion.
It is true that "her next child with a MD or not, he/she is just as important and has the right to live an amazing life like anyone else" (her own words). Risking to go through the same tough path twice for both kids for the sake of having a 3rd baby can be something she wants to/can handle; however, I think it is fair neither for the new baby, who will obviously go through a really tough life with a lot of health problems in case s/he has a MD, nor for her other kids to have another sibling who will have a lot of health problems and risks including a shorter life span. Britney already has two kids... She should appreciate it and do her best for them instead of trying to make her dream of having 3 kids come true despite the apparent risks. In the comments of her last video she sounded like she was willing to take that risk it or at least that is how I interpreted it.

Totally get that but we are talking about Britney and common courtesy doesn't seem her strong suit. I was just saying that there's no legal obligation to do so.WheresMyCoffee wrote:Eh it doesnt matter about law. You're only have right. A person who does create a recipe can claim credit for that recipe they create even if you don't register it at the copyright office (which is no longer necessary, mind you).
Anything a person writes down is copyrighted to them. For instance this post now belongs to me and I hold the copyright.
But when talking about copyright we have to remember that copyright law is still about 20 years behind the rest of the world and is still adapting to the new media platform. The last time this issue was brought to court was Publications International v Meredith Corp in 1996 when the idea of food bloggers was still brand new and YouTube mommies weren't even a gosh darn concept.
However, now they are and it is totally possible for someone who created a recipe on their blog to try and take Britney to court because people would be more inclined to watch her (MONETIZED) video over going to their blog, thus taking away profit from the recipe creator. But since the rule of thumb in the past is that recipes can't really be protected we've kind of screwed over our cooks for the last 70 years so who's to say where that original recipe came from.
Also, while they cannot be copyrighted, depending on what it is, a recipe CAN be patented (http://www.uspto.gov/custom-page/inventors-eye-advice-1)
tl;dr
Recipes may not be copyrighted but Britney should show some Goddamn courtesy and give some web traffic to the blog she got the recipe from. Pinterest was designed for sharing, not copying and 90% of its users don't have 200,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Re: BritneyAndSoSoSo: Part 16
We don't have the right to tell her she shouldn't have another child. I don't think though, that they have put enough research and understanding into it thus far. If it were me, I wouldn't risk it, but that's purely JMO, as I couldn't live with the guilt of having a child with either MD, or being a carrier of MD. I'd need all the testing done and have all the research and dialogues with experts first. I would probably just give up. No one needs 3 kids. It's a wants and priorities thing.
I think that they should at least wait a few years and figure everything out with Nolan, and see what kind of care he's going to require. I don't think she even understands his issue yet to be honest, as she can't explain it at all. She may not be knowledgeable enough at this point to make a truly informed decision. They definitely should do sex selection and genetic testing. They shouldn't just wing it. But if they do just wing it, that's also their prerogative. She is very stubborn, so she will do whatever she wants regardless of the outcome.

Hehe I completely agree that B should have common courtesy. I was just basing my opinion on the law as it stands now. I'm thinking of practicing in this area and like you said it's constantly evolving. It will be interesting to see what future case law might tell us.OhHiImSam wrote:TaraLas wrote:She actually doesn't have to give credit to a recipe from Pinterest because they are merely ideas. Re: BritneyAndSoSoSo: Part 16
Interesting.
I haven't seen anymore snaps about the squirrels (or whatever they are) and I haven't seen much more of Britney trying to make a YouTube for Aria to play with the ponies. Seems to me that she found out she could have another child, but it's expensive for gender selection, etc. so, she wouldn't have to switch up her channel.
Might be why she wants an SUV.
Might be why she wants to do daily vlogs in June...to cover the cost of the procedure?
Hmmm...

Re: BritneyAndSoSoSo: Part 16
I'm sorry, I'm going to be the nasty one again and say she should not have another baby! Wtf? Knowing Nolan's diagnosis? Another baby with a chance of MD? What about the attention Nolan will need? How is she going to handle it if it is so so so stressful just taking the two of them to the doctor? I'll be the one to say what we are all thinking...she is always the one to want more and newer and shinier. THAT is why she wants another baby. Sugar glider excitement wore off, she has bought everything for their house, so now she wants something new... a baby. No doubt she loves her kids but I think this is a very selfish decision...ESPECIALLY since a couple of months ago in a vlogs she said WE ARE NOT HAVING ANY MORE CHILDREN...2 IS MORE THAN ENOUGH.
This is just a fleeting want for something new.
End rant.

Re: BritneyAndSoSoSo: Part 16
Did she really say she wants another baby? What were her words?
If that's true...that is INCREDIBLY selfish. Wow.
Completely agree with the user who said she's still trying to make her picture perfect life complete. She can't deal with the fact that her life isn't what she was hoping for. Gross.
She can't even handle being a mom of two & her kids don't need much extra help right now..what does she think she's going to do when nolan's health starts deteriorating? Hopefully she learns to think rationally before getting herself knocked up. Why doesn't she shift her focus to her wedding she's supposed to be having?

Re: BritneyAndSoSoSo: Part 16
She said that they have thought about it and it hasn't changed their mind about possibly wanting another baby. It doesn't sound like she is trying to conceive right now. And I think that she has said she always wanted 3 kids. Personally, I don't think that has to change just because of nolan's diagnosis. They know the risks and there is only a 25% chance the baby would have MD and they could always take steps to genetically screen the baby.
She did say something in the comments about a test you can do very early on in pregnancy to determine the sex of the baby so I wonder if she would terminate if she found out the baby was a boy (I just want to be very clear that this is something I am wondering if she would do SHE DID NOT SAY SHE WOULD DO THAT. I just don't want people to misunderstand and think she said that.)
IMO I think if they want another child and they are willing to take that risk it is completely up to them. And I think (if they could ensure the baby is healthy) it might be good for Aria to have another sibling so they can have that bond and go through this together. I think that was talked about on here when Nolan was first diagnosed. And if I was her, I'd have the baby sooner rather than later if she really want to do this. I think it would be much harder to care for a new born years from now when Nolan's health starts to get worse.
Side note: Has this made anyone else wonder if they might be a carrier or something? I never thought about it and we don't really have a history of anything in our family, but Brit says she didn't either. It has made me kind of nervous.
