DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
Don't worry, I'm never angry at the kids and do my best to understand it's not their fault. The blame is always on the parents for not teaching them better. It's just hard to always keep your mind calm and at ease when you're around a kid throwing a really bad tantrum. And I NEVER outwardly express any annoyance to the child because that would be awful. They don't know any better, depending on their age.angelfire89 wrote:I love all kids. I try really hard to direct all my anger and annoyance at the parents of bratty kids. It is never a kid's fault if they have never been corrected/taught how to properly behave. No matter how hard, you can always teach a kid what is not acceptable behavior.tintin15 wrote:I definitely heard people saying "Finn and Ollie", I'm hoping it was a simple mistake because they're used to celebrating Ollie, but I really doubt it.
And if it was on purpose...
A spoiled child is one thing. If you need to give your brat some sort of trinket on their sibling's birthday to keep them from having a tantrum and ruining the whole day, then by all means. But if you have to sing happy birthday to that child as well as the one whose birthday it actually is??? What the hell? That irritates me so much. Ollie is going to be a terror, and probably already freaking is. They just edit it out.
Sorry lol. I love kids, but bratty ones drive me up the wall. I'll never understand parents who constantly tolerate and enable their child's awful behavior, like Missy and Bryan do.

Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
I interpreted K&C's vlog differently, I thought Missy's pointing was to Bryan or the brunette with the camera saying to film/look at Ollie and I heard all 'Finn' and 'Finley' (and Bryan made a noise starting with O but to me it didn't sound like Ollie or Oliver). That's just what I took from that. In saying that, I do think they filmed it twice just as the two versions don't seem to match (they might but it seems a bit off) but I was thinking that was more due to the fact some people said Finn and others said Finley and it sounded odd. I know people believe that they would sing happy birthday to Ollie but I don't see that, he knew it was Finley's birthday, and I feel like that would confuse him rather than make him happy.

I've never posted before and don't know how to quote so I might be doing this totally wrong haha
Just wanted to say that it was totally fine for Missy and Kelsey to ride the pony it would weigh almost 300kg and since they're both small girls and were just walking around the backyard, it wouldn't bother the pony in the slightest

Depends on how you define overdue. Clinically? ACOG doesn't consider it post term until after 42 weeks. But was he born after the estimated due date? Yes. Just past 41 weeks, if memory serves.kiwimumof-5 wrote:I havent read all the comments sorry but quick question, was Finn overdue? But yeah, they acted like he was late once she was past 37 weeks and "full term" (but actually early term technically)

Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
I've watched the part in k&c's vlog where they sang HBD about 6 times this morning and I'm not hearing anyone say Ollie at all. Think what you will about it, but it's just not there. Idk why Missy points to Ollie, unless like someone said, she wanted a picture of him "singing" to his brother, but i do not think they were singing HBD to Ollie as well. Fucked up parents as they are, i don't think they would take it THAT far. Even though they did get him presents and let him be the center of attention on Finn's birthday. The thumbnail thing really bothers me now that someone pointed it out, i didn't pay attention at first.

I don't know if it was missy or Bryan saying it, but I definitely heard happy birthday Ollie. And I wasn't even listening for it.Playsinrain wrote:I've watched the part in k&c's vlog where they sang HBD about 6 times this morning and I'm not hearing anyone say Ollie at all. I was just poking around online and found a study that was conducted in 2014 that said that out of 2000 parents polled 45% of them bought sibling presents for another child's birthday.. FORTY FIVE PERCENT!!! I'm shocked, no wonder we are growing up in a society of spoiled ass children.

Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
Im with someone above, i hear Bryan make an "o" sound, but i don't hear Ollie.. In my head hes saying "ohhh" bc everyone is saying Finn and Finley so it sounds like a garbled mess. Like i said, think what you want about it, i'm not trying to convince anyone, i just do not hear anyone saying Ollie. And even if it was Bryan saying Ollie, thats not everyone like people are making it out to be.. not everyone there is saying Ollie's name.sarahelizabeth_1 wrote:I don't know if it was missy or Bryan saying it, but I definitely heard happy birthday Ollie. Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
I re-watched Ollie's birthday party just to compare, and the difference is astounding. I know Ollie's was more of a cross-promotional deal, but the what they did and the way they acted was so different. They had similar activities for the kids (bounce house, petting zoo, pinata), but Ollie's birthday was very much centered around Ollie. On the other hand, Finn's birthday had a lot of Ollie footage. Jackson had more screen time than Finn at Ollie's birthday party. I understand Finn is a baby, but it is so easy to get cute footage of a baby at his birthday party. Show Finn being passed around and playing with the pumpkins or animals instead of 10 minutes of Ollie jumping in a bounce house that is not age appropriate for the birthday boy.
Missy did not hold Finn while they sang happy birthday to Ollie (which I would have found more appropriate considering Finn was a baby and not a three-year-old). Finn did not get to ogle at Ollie's toys because they were just for Ollie. They are raising a brat and going to give Finn a terrible case of middle child syndrome before he even has a younger sibling.

So, are we taking bets on how long before they get a pony/horse? Missy was drooling over that pony.

I love that you posted this!! I've been wanting to say this here ever since I saw Ollies bedroomMandyJ wrote:Dream catchers are a sacred item deeply ingrained in the history of many tribes of indigenous peoples, made with sacred materials, not a fun arts and crafts project for white people to make out of craft store supplies to hand out as party favors, for starters.OhHiImSam wrote:MandyJ wrote:I don't fault Missy for using Pinterest for ideas at all. If you're going to misspell pumpkin to be cute, the usual way to do it is "punkin"
I agree that that both Bryan and Missy seem very insecure, but cope with it differently
Cultural appropriation? Please expand your point.
Tipis for funsies are problematic as well.
It's just typical of white people to take from oppressed cultures because something looks "cute," "edgy," or "trendy."
If you truly want to educate yourself on the concept, google it. There are plenty of resources out there.
but I don't know it's a touchy subject.

Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
That is sickening!!! I already knew I was a little more of an anti-spoiling hardliner than what is probably average, but that statistic is blowing my mind right now.Playsinrain wrote:I was just poking around online and found a study that was conducted in 2014 that said that out of 2000 parents polled 45% of them bought sibling presents for another child's birthday.. If we had whined or thrown fits on siblings' birthdays growing up, we'd have gotten a one way ticket to our room for the day, without cake, and probably a spanking. Lol, society is collapsing!

I think it is pretty bad that Bryan chose to go to the festival for Finn's first birthday. It's one thing if a parent has to work. You can't help that. But he chose to go to this festival to live out his fantasy of being a dad pop star. I can't see him missing Ollie's birthday.

Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
Serious question.. Where does the line get drawn between cultural appreciation and appropriation? Both of my children have dream catchers hanging in their rooms that were gifted to them by a Native American friend (she made them) when they were born. Am i wrong for hanging these in my home bc i'm white? Even if i know the significance/sacredness of these? Not asking this to be a smart ass, i'm just truly curious.Romeoxsavexme wrote:I love that you posted this!! No shit!! i would have been too! Fly swatter to the rear end and no cake for me!! LOL I was always taught that it was my sisters day, not mine. I never remember being jealous or mad bc my sister was celebrating her birthday. My kids never acted that way either and are always excited to give presents and find something their sibling would love.

Re: DailyCambodiaLiving (Part 74)
I know he can say no to anything and that he CHOOSES to do this music, but if he has a planned gig its not very professional for him to skip out on it. I'm sure there are lots of REAL musicians that have to miss events like that because they have booked gigs. Not saying it's not his choice, but professionally speaking, it looks better for him to be there no matter what (especially since he is a no body and is trying to break through in the music scene) than to make excuses as to why he can't come.Cgl33 wrote:I think it is pretty bad that Bryan chose to go to the festival for Finn's first birthday.
