Yes, those are spacers. My daughter was 8 years old when she was fitted for an expander. They put the spacers on first so that when the expander is made it will fit where the spacers were. He might be getting an expander. That's very common now for younger kids. It's easier to reshape their mouths while they're young if they have an over/underbite.

Thanks for explaining, I’ve never seen them used over here, they tend to treat underbites with twin block braces once they’re teenager instead.

I’m a pediatric dental assistant. Those are spacers. He must have had teeth extracted due to cavities and those spaces hold the place for the permanent teeth. He wouldn’t have naturally lost those teeth until he was 8-10.

Has anyone else seen him singing on IG? Sorry, but he really does t have a good voice. It’s one thing to hear him on his EP with all the auto tuning then hearing him with “his” group playing that are so loud it’s hard to hear him BUT this today is just bad. He really thinks he’s a great song writer now.

Not to mention those crazy hand movements and gestures.
