Eve kind of reminds me of this movie I once watched. It's called "My Girl" and it's basically about this young girl who is very confused with the idea of death. I definitely think Eve got this way because of the bullshit that Ruby constantly shoves down her throat about her feelings after Nollie died.rulatows000 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2020 9:38 am Today's vlog just reinforces that this thread title is 100% accurate. Sure, Eve doesn't seem too sick, but the coronavirus symptoms vary. Some people get extremely mild cases while others get more severe, so I don't think they can completely rule it out. Also, assuming Kevin was being serious when he said he thought Eve had it, why is he going to the grocery store? If you have a sick kid exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19 you need to self-isolate. The previous vlog showed Eve running around, hanging on everyone during their scripture readings, so Kevin is just as likely to have been exposed, that is, if he wasn't the one that gave it to her in the first place. Then, Ruby was really just going to send him out to the grocery store a second time for one thing? And don't even get me started on Shari sticking the thermometer in her ear after it had been in Eve's, saying, "I won't get sick from just one thing."
On a side note, does anyone else find it concerning that Eve seems to have a preoccupation with death? I feel like I've heard her say things more than once about 'When Dwight dies' and then today, "Some people's parents die". I know that Ruby probably scarred her with all the psychoanalysis she did after Nollie died, but that is still really concerning for a six year old to constantly be thinking about her pets or parents dying. When I was her age I was not old enough to have a grasp on death yet, much less to be anticipating when my new puppy is going to die.

What's this thing about popsicles when a kid is sick? She didn't even know if Eve had a sore throat, why give her lots of popsicles?
It's not the first time I see it in Americans vlogs.
It broke my heart when Ruby said she heard Eve going to get ice during the night... What kind of evil mother stays in bed??? Go check on your sick 6 years old kid, you powerfulmothermy***!!!

Ice/popsicles help bring down a fever. My sister had a temp of 103.4 and was shivering in the ER waiting room years ago.. she wanted a blanket, but they brought her a popsicle and fever reducer instead, even though she didn't have a sore throat... her iron level was extremely low and causing her to be very very sick. After the popsicle, they brought her a cup of ice, then another popsicle and more ice. I find it very interesting that Eve went to get ice, she knew she had a fever and was hot and needed ice, yet her mother couldn't be bothered to find out what was going on. TERRIBLE mother!Emily81 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2020 3:42 pm What's this thing about popsicles when a kid is sick? She didn't even know if Eve had a sore throat, why give her lots of popsicles?

Boy ridiculous Ruby is clueless! No idiotic woman it is NOT up to the child to be good! Children are a reflection of their parents! Having a cold fish unnatural, non nurturing, strict, narcissistic mother sets them up for some bad behavior! Please don’t preach Ruby because your uneducated brain is showing and mothers don’t need an uneducated self proclaimed messiah to help them!
A mother who can’t be bothered to prepare lunch for their six year old nor feed her children nutritional salads and fruit and food, is definitely not qualified to advise anyone!

Sorry for the double post but just read her new post and blah blah truth true! This woman really sees herself as a bishop or high priestess of sorts I guess years of preaching and brainwashing has really done a job on her mental health! And Kevin stop jumping in to defend her with your ridiculous arguments, you put shame on your degrees! No offence to anyone’s denomination but we all know if you don’t pay you don’t stay!!!
So assuming Jesus did decide to make an entrance he would be kicking some coffers together with their collectors right out of his house again? I’m assuming!?

Don't forget never puts her young children to bed, even though she is there to do so. The fault with this, her kids are wearing same clothes for days because she's too damn lazy to put them to bed and isn't aware they are wearing school clothes to bed. Or can't be bothered to supervise proper hygiene which ends up with her 6 year old having a mouth full of cavities.Parktown wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2020 4:39 pm Boy ridiculous Ruby is clueless! I know this gets said all the time, but for the love of god, how can anyone look up to Ruby as a good mother? She hears her 6-year old child getting ice for her fever and crying in the middle of the night, and just stayed in bed?? And then she had the audacity to call Eve manipulative because she was whining, probably because she had a fever and didn't feel well. The only one being manipulative there is Ruby. Ugh, I just don't understand how anyone can look up to her. If this is the kind of shit she's willing to show to the world just imagine how much worse it is when the camera is off.

Ruby asking Shari “Are we still in quarantine”?? When discussing what she wanted to do for Abbys birthday.
Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
I came on because I was so shocked by this!
I do really like Shari's wall though and that she was challenging her perfectionism.

Shari’s wall and Abby’s haircut wasn’t bad at all better than what I would have done.
I wonder what Ruby would have said if she didn’t help Shari with the wall.

So Shari gets her wall because she will use it for filming and Abby gets one because her birthday. And Julie is once again the one left out. Honestly, I feel like the best thing to do in family's with more than one kid is that either everyone gets it one or no one gets it. If you can't make things equal and keep someone from feeling left out than don't do it at all. If you're giving one kid special privileges without it being a special occasion then you need to be willing to do it for the other kids who are going to want it, too. Especially when it's something like this where some kids are being allowed to decorate their rooms and others not, which is really unfair and should be something where its all allowed or none is allowed. When they do this picking and choosing because Ruby is too lazy to do something for all six of her kids that she chose to have, it just leads to the certain louder, more demanding kids getting everything while others get nothing.

Yep! Not all kids need to be given the same thing, but they need to be treated fairly and get something special if they want it. And they shouldn't need to earn it, either. Part of being a parent is treating your kids equally.rulatows000 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 9:25 am So Shari gets her wall because she will use it for filming and Abby gets one because her birthday. I feel like Julie and Chad (after coming back from Anasazi) don't even ask for a ton of stuff. And when they do, it must be something that the entire family can enjoy, not just themselves. A few videos ago, Julie and especially Chad had asked for a ping pong table, which is something all of the kids could have fun using, I don't know why Ruby wouldn't have gotten one for them. They have the money, and it's not like they asked for new phones/tablets/electronic stuff etc. Plus, I have a ping pig table at my house, and now that we are quarantined, me and my siblings use it a lot. It's a ton of fun. And even if they did ask for something for themselves, Ruby (the stupid lying shopaholic) who uses her kids youtube money to buy 100s of dollars worth of clothes for herself should get them something too. Jesus Ruby, your so fucking selfish.rulatows000 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 9:25 am So Shari gets her wall because she will use it for filming and Abby gets one because her birthday. Abby obviously didnt buy it when Ruby started talking about what she could do to her room. I wonder if Ruby really lets her change things up. It seemed like a typical random Ruby outburst. I mean,im happy for them but its also sad because the little kids are not getting a nice, colorful room.

If they had a ping pong table maybe they wouldn't have to resort to playing racquetball on the walls. It's all about control, and has to be Ruby's idea for it to flow into the family effectively.emma2948 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 11:11 amI feel like Julie and Chad (after coming back from Anasazi) don't even ask for a ton of stuff. Hopefully they saw how easy it was to do Shari's wall, and whoever else wants it done will be allowed to do it (except for Russell since Ruby already designed his room in dull, sterile hospital room theme). Heck they are stuck at home, no reason they can crank out a theme wall in each of the kids' bedrooms, even if it is just a wall with a solid color on it. Ruby, minimalism decor can be done with character too. Take a look at Younghouse Love blog.
It is very unfair to allow Shari to do a creative wall, and others can't even have some color and character in their bedroom. How non-creative and dull can one mom be?

Re: 8 Passengers: Spreading a Disease while Doing As I Please | Part #16
Exactly, they have the time and it wouldn't cost hardly anything to let Julie get her wall painted. Ruby and Shari have recognized all the blacklash they get for treating Julie bad, so now they always try to include an excuse, but it never makes any sense or is an actual reason to leave her out.Happy+Charlie wrote: ↑Mon Apr 20, 2020 12:51 pmIf they had a ping pong table maybe they wouldn't have to resort to playing racquetball on the walls. Also, the ping pong table would be a great alternative to that racquetball thing. I mean, I really like that the kids have so much fun with it, but for Ruby to be encouraging them as they crash into each other and send a tennis ball flying in all directions, is not responsible parenting. That's just asking for a broken bone or a concussion. Of course, Ruby would rather have them do something potentially destructive and dangerous, rather than buy them a ping pong table because its 100% their own responsibility to entertain themselves and she'd be helping them out if she did that. Also, kids running, falling, crashing around the house and hitting people with tennis balls is so much more better for the camera than them safely playing ping pong.

If Ruby could see past her nose about the ping pong table. You could get the four oldest kids to all play together by playing doubles.

You said it! Banging a tennis ball against the wall is much more "fun" than a ping pong table. More exciting for views. Extra points for damaging the wall. Plus, ER visits are big money.

Of all the things she could have picked out RUBY chose to do THAT thumbnail. Just saying. She knows what she’s doing and what kind of sick demographic likes to watch children in compromising positions. Why the hell
Risk anything. She knows those types of things attract sickos. Doesn’t care about anyone but herself and that $$..
