Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
I was honestly very, very curious about them using the bumbo and thought he was too young. I don't have children myself and have never used that device but I have heard terrible stories about it. So it seemed unsafe and I didn't think he was ready for it. I didn't do any research though since I don't really need that information. Glad someone brought it up! I cannot stand these fans sometimes, most people don't willingly do something that can hurt a child, sometimes new parents especially, don't know any better and maybe didn't do as much research or it was a gift, etc. If I was a new parent I would take all the help and advice I would get! As long it is coming from a place of love and concern I would have no problem with it and that person was clearly not hating.

They are both the same age? Didn't they go to high school together? Why didn't they graduate together ?

Now that you mention it there's no mention of Missy graduating high school or going to college ever, only Bryan. Hmmmm

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
I actually asked my OB about her situation and what it would legally be classified as (at least in Canada) and he said since baby died before the age of considered viability, it was a miscarriage.
And yes, he is infact way too small for the Bumbo. He is not anywhere close to being able to support his own neck and head, hence why his head was bobbling around the way it did. I'm sure they meant no harm, but it was idiotic of them. You shouldn't be using the product before he's able to fully support his own neck and head. I know you refuse my "advice" since you portray me as a hater, simply put he's your child and if you want to harm him,go ahead. I've seem him doing tummy time, tho I am convinced you do NOT do it enough, and he can barely lift his head up.
I was going to buy a Bumbo as well, I thought they were adorable and babies seem happy in them. Upon research and speaking with my doctors I've decided not to, and it makes complete sense to me. Children generally start to sit up on their own anywhere from 4-9 months. Why would I place him in a babysitter, forcing him, to sit up before he's physically ready? I suggest you actually deeply research the Bumbo and perhaps speak to a physical therapist, they aren't all what they are cracked out to be.

I thought so! I agree, they obviously love Oliver and try to do their best with him, but like everyone else, slip up at times. I hope they do take advice from those commenting, even if it is just to do a bit more research themselves, not just take everything as law.MamatoanAngel wrote:And yes, he is infact way too small for the Bumbo. Random question, have they ever shown photos of their wedding? I love weddings so I was just wondering

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
Yep, Ollie is too young for the bumbo. I worked at a childcare facility and per infant care guidelines, a child must be at least 4 months to be placed in a bumbo. I don't know what they are doing with poor Ollie. Then Missy says that he takes a shower with her. She said that he sits in the bumbo while she showers. I am guessing she's not afraid that soap will get in his eyes while he's sitting there. They are weirdos..MamatoanAngel wrote:And yes, he is infact way too small for the Bumbo. He is not anywhere close to being able to support his own neck and head, hence why his head was bobbling around the way it did. Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
Regarding the bumbo haven't you all noticed they try to make ollie do things before he is ready or make it seem like he is super advanced? Like the smiling and the giggling I've mentioned before and now throwing him into a bumbo! He is not as alert as they make it seem.

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
Does he even giggle yet? I haven't actually watched a video in a while. Like someone else said I usually just click on it long enough to thumbs down and then I stop. I just can't take them anymore. I find out what's going on with them here.
Shouldn't it be concerning that he doesn't hold his head up yet? My daughter did fairly well at birth. She hated tummy time but I had her do it every other day or so and she was a pro in no time. It doesn't take much for them to gain that strength if you at least try and do the right things for their development. Poor baby Ollie.

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
Didn't they take Ollie on a picnic on a windy day when he was only a week old and Bryan kept trying to wake him up so he "wouldn't miss anything fun?"
Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
He is almost 3 months old and when he was a little over 2 months or maybe less they claimed he giggled...it was no where near giggle they pretended to hear it.SomeoneNew2 wrote:Does he even giggle yet? Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
i think that these 2 idiots are way too young and immature to have a baby. they can't even take care of themselves and they barely know anything yet they think they should have a baby. i get that new parents do things wrong and have to learn but they just do some stupid stuff. they were so obsessed with having a baby and now they are obsessed with getting pregnant again but missy shouldn't be getting pregnant at all yet she still wants to. she's an idiot. like don't do it its common sense.

Prepackaged potstickers, pizza, and ice cream. And yet he goes to the gym "every day."
