Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 11
ok.. i can not TAke it anymore... they literally have ZERO AMBITION. they just sit around and ride the youtube train and think they are famous celebrities who will be set for life. some day youtube will end for them.. and they will be SOL with like five kids. ... it is getting SO HARD to watch them.
Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 11
I had to stop watching them....I mean all they do is complain about everything and take naps. Can you imagine if they actually had to work? Clearly editing doesn't take too long if you're able to be off gallivanting all day. If you want people to take it seriously as a career, keep some sort of regular business hours or something. Its so frustrating to see them have no ambition. It really annoys me that they think they are some celebrities. The Youtube gravy train is going to dry up at some point and they will have huge gaps in employment when they do try to find work again. It's going to be so hard for them.
They are also so annoyingly irresponsible with money. I'm younger than them and probably have more in savings (I decided I was going to buy my own house by 25 and I need to save for a deposit).
Ok rant over. I really needed that. I used to really enjoy their vlogs and no I can barely watch at all.

Wow....a little scratch. He would probably say my laptop isn't even useable in the condition its in..lots of scratches and missing keys and such...but they can afford to be snobby with electronics I suppose. O.o
Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 11
Why would you leave an expensive laptop in a toddlers reach anyways? It's not that hard to put it up where they can't reach. They're not that tall!

I always found it odd that they take planes instead of driving when they go to places in their own state. I could see Idaho or even Seattle or where ever they went. But SF? Especially since they drive a Prius.
And does anyone else get annoyed that they take Oliver to the movies, and have pretty much since he was born? What does he get out of that? And it's rude to the other movie goers.

I think they're just the sort of parents who don't care if their child disturbs other people. I imagine oliver will be that child in a restaurant/hotel lobby who is running about and making noise.

Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 11
They're idiots. Remember when they went to go see Catching Fire at midnight and then went again the next day, and took Ollie with them? And Missy said how she put cotton in Ollie's ears so it wouldn't be too loud for him! Sorry but wheatear you're watching an action or Disney movie, it will always be loud.
I suggest that if they're going to take Ollie to the movies, go in the afternoon. Where I live, they have what's called mommy and me at the movies and they'll have morning and early afternoon showings where the theater isn't too loud or dark, and you're with a bunch of moms and babies, so everyone understands if your baby starts to cry.
My husband and I were BIG movie goers before our son was born, we wouldn't stand seeing these parents bringing their babies to midnight showings!

Indeed, people sow their own folly. At some point, we all have to take responsibility for our decisions. I hope that Ollie and whatever other children they may have are not too greatly affected by the decisions that his parents made when they were young and clearly very immature.ciara1991 wrote:I had to stop watching them....I mean all they do is complain about everything and take naps. Also, the employment gap is a real problem. I really want to be a SAHM for a time if/when I have my first child (still TTC) but I honestly doubt I will because I worry about the difficulty of getting back into the job market. I am in a field where if you absent yourself for a time, people regard your career as stagnant. I know some other people have been able to return to work with relative ease, but I have heard horror stories about women still trying to find a full-time job with their kids already in grade school. I support SAHM moms, really, I do. I just worry that the current economy and society don't sufficiently support women who stay at home for any considerable period of time. It's unfair, but it's what I observed. Of course, I guess it depends on what field your in. Bryan can probably use his years as a vlogger as a portfolio to demonstrate his editing and photography skills. Missy, not so much. I don't know what level of education she's completed, but I think she said her former employer said she could come back at any time, so I suppose she's banking on that...but what if the company changes personnel between now and when she wants to go back to work? I hope that's not her only plan. And I do hope that they are thinking about the future. It's fun to make fun of them, but they are a young family with a young child, and Ollie's not to blame for his parents' choices.

That's easily an 8 hour drive (more like 10-12 with stops) with a toddler though. They would never survive that! Normal, mature people sure...but not them.Alyshaxx wrote:I always found it odd that they take planes instead of driving when they go to places in their own state. Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 11
Haha yeah they would never survive. We drove to Orlando from St. Louis last year with a 9 month old. It was hard, but we just left out right as she fell asleep and she slept the majority of the trip which was, I think, 17 hours (we switched on and off to drive and drove clean through the night )GemmaJane wrote:That's easily an 8 hour drive (more like 10-12 with stops) with a toddler though. I couldn't imagine B&M doing anything close to that. And if they ever did they would expect an award and wouldn't shut up about it for weeks.

I'm pretty sure neither of them plan on going back to a regular job. They think YouTube will keep them forever. Lol.

Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 11
We just drove 4,500km (no idea what that is in miles lol) across the country from north western Australia to new south wales with an almost 3 year old and a 15 month old.. Probably was the single worst idea I have ever had in my life lol. The kids were little superstars considering, but it is hard work with little kids! We broke it up into a 5 day journey. I feel like I deserve a reward for it hahaha.... or a trip to the mental hospitalspricket wrote:Haha yeah they would never survive. We drove to Orlando from St. Louis last year with a 9 month old. Re: Bumsalongtheway Part 11
Ok catching up on the last week's worth of vlogs:
Missy says "tropicly" instead of TROPICAL. Are you serious?
I agree with whoever also got a $20 trash can. It holds your TRASH, why does it need to be pretty? If you must have the nice one, why was a poop stuffed animal a higher priority? Dirty diapers NEVER go in our kitchen garbage. You know that when you smell things they are actual particles, so when you smell poop there are particles of poop in your nose? Why would you eat with that right there?
I have a theory. Much like how they said "THEY" got a Keurig when it was really Missy's parents (which FYI amazon has ones that aren't that expensive, I bought my friend one when she got the news that her cancer came back) that the whole security system and gate were not in fact purchased by them, but by the landlord. They like to twist things like that.
Why on earth would you walk away from your child when they have plastic in their mouth?? Especially those squeezie things that shrink in size?!
Just sitting here shaking my head.
