I had croupe badly for the 1st year of my life and was in and out of hospital, my 2nd son had croupe they gave him steroids and he was perfectly fine and happy within a day or 2- when i saw the dramatic selfie Missy took I was really taken aback if your son is ill wtf, secondly he must have been getting sick beforehand but they took him out, 3rd get to a doctor for treatment they can even give you stuff to put in a nebuliser at home

So… Ok wait.. maybe I'm wrong (again I don't watch their videos)… but why are they making a huge deal out of Ollie having croup? Didn't he have seizures in the past? Did they make a huge deal about that?

No, because a seizure disorder would be inconvenient (and the fact that they missed it is imperfect) so they don't want to make a thing of it...denial.

I said it a couple pages back. If they are saying Ollie is sick, then he's probably ok. If it's something major, they would hide it. They are just trying to get hype for today's vlog. Bryan didn't even see fit to "rush" to the appointment with them. Either he's an awful dad, or it was in no way as bad as they make it sound. Missy seems like the type that would demand a doctor make things better with drugs (even though she's crunchy).

Some guy asked Bryan on Twitter how is it possible that they get more views on their daily single vlogs than they have subs. Bryan tried to play it off stupid asking what about Shay. Maybe because Shay doesn't need to buy views Bryan! The guy replied back that Shay's stats aren't even that high and Bryan replied back how it's all because of his hot pregnant wife (gross), cute kid and awesome editing. Yes Bryan, we all know you pimp your own family out.

My first had croup when she was 6 months old and we stayed in the children's hospital for 3 days. Sometimes croup is very serious but even I can admit most times it's a very mild case and you just wait it out and occasionally stand in front of the open freezer door. Anything for a hash tag to try to get trending though smh

It can be serious, yes, if they are showing other signs of distress. My 6 month old actually has it right now, and the doctor said it sounds worse than it actually is. My little fella doesn't show any signs of lethargy or distress though... and neither did Ollie in the vlog. There was no need for the prayer request.

About today's vlog...

Missy talked more about her corn dog than she did Ollie being sick. Also, butterflies. Maybe she'd show more love for Ollie if he was pretty and had wings?

Missy, an FYI for ya... take his temp BEFORE you put him in the shower. Having a bath or shower can make a fever much worse!

Wipe that kid's nose!

Missy can't go for a walk by herself (doctor ordered wtf?), so she drags her sick kid out. I know cold air can be good for it, but still, I don't think they took Ollie into consideration.

Confession time: I'm actually really excited for the Who Knew music video. Only cause I really want to laugh at it. It might be better than the This is Home one though since they're using actors.

That made me so sad He clearly said Shrek and Bryan decides to make an "executive decision"... that is such crap. B needs to admit that he loves singing along like a princess and stop blaming the constant Frozen streaming on the kid.

On Twitter he says they had to rush Ollie to the hospital......Yet, I saw twitter post from him saying he was waiting for Ollie to get home? It's not a "we". It's a Missy and Mimi. Of course I hope he feels better, it's no fun having a sick kid. And I heard him say Shrek too.

Edit: Good god people, must they ALWAYS look at themselves in the camera viewer?

Yes! This! Even I heard the kid say Shrek. They are pushing frozen like no other. Its like theyre sponsored lolol.

I remember having croup as a kid (15-20 years ago?). I got it on vacation and one day I just could not catch my breath at all. I was transferred by ambulance from the clinic -we stopped at to a hospital (i still have the bear that the ambulance driver gave me.) I think I spent two days in the hospital on oxygen. I'm not sure if that was just because we were on vacation and didn't have the resources to set me up at home or if I was just that sick.

Sounds like mine was much worse than Ollie's. He sounds like his biggest symptom is a very bad cough and a fever. Hope the little man gets better quickly. It's a viral infection so I wonder what kind of medication they would have given him. Maybe just something to knock down the fever and break up the congestion?


Graphic side note (if you dont wanna know about blood, stop here): while i was in the hospital that time, I had an IV. they brought me in a Nintendo 64 system on a cart. I got so intense while playing that my IV pretty much exploded and I bled through two layers of hospital gown and the sheets on the bed with out even noticing. probably the most memorable part of that hospital visit.
