CR's post about his co-worker was sweet! Ashleigh has really helped them out a lot lately with the kids.

I dont care for the middle names, but I love that she chose family names.
I think the first names are beautiful and probably some of my favorite youtube baby names used lately.

I just find the combinations so weird and harsh.

What's wrong with Ivy? It's certainly pretty then nicole ( sorry if I offended any Nicole's on here) but Kennedy, Shelby, Rosie, Jonah, Noah, Ivy & Amelia all work really well together.

Sheesh, that's a lot of kids haha

I do really like the nursery. It isn't too themed and overdone. I think they did well with the space they have in that room. Plus I think it will be easy to transition into a toddler room without having to redo the whole thing. The only thing I don't love is the crib they chose. It is the cheapest at ikea so I guess if they were trying to save money, it makes sense. But there are others at ikea that aren't overly expensive that I think would have looked a little nicer.

Sorry but I think they've done...not the best job naming their kids. Most of them are fine (I don't love Kennedy and SHELBY?! Is she 50?) but the combination is super weird and the styles are all over the place, they don't go together at ALL. Noah and Jonah go, since they're biblical names that have both come back into fashion in the last 7 or so years and they're fine with Amelia/Ivy/Rosie. Ivy, Amelia, and Rosie all go fine - they're all pretty romantic names that were popular 100 years ago and have come back into fashion (the 100 year rule is a thing in name trends). Amelia's significantly more popular which kinda throws me off but I guess some people don't care about that. Kennedy is so obviously modern and more on the gender neutral side so it doesn't fit anywhere. MAYBE with Amelia or Noah since I feel like they're all very 2010s names but still not great. And then there's Shelby which matches absolutely nothing in terms of style/popularity/era. It's such a middle aged name, it seems so odd on a little girl. It's weird to me that their 2 oldest have such clashing names, Kennedy and Avery/Piper/Harper I'd get, Shelby and Anna/Linda/Julie. Shelby and Kennedy? I'd love to know how they came up with that.

Sorry to clog up the forum but can I just ask why are the older 2 girls always so weirdly/badly dressed? I feel like they look a mess a lot of the time and Rosie wears such cute little outfits. Maybe they're getting to an age where mom isn't allowed to pick out their clothes any more? idk i wish she'd buy them more of the stuff she dresses rosie in, she always looks adorable!

I think the names are fine, not everybody tries to have a 'theme' or something, I think she just picked lots of different names she liked. In my opinion stressing too much about my kids names going together or being matchy in terms of style is kinda stupid but that's just me.

As for the clothes I know she's said one of the older girls has sensory issues and doesn't wear jeans so I think that's part of it. That and dressing themselves.

I agree. It is hard enough to pick names for kids without trying to make sure everyone's name goes together. And maybe that works if you have only two or three kids. But when you've got 7, they aren't all going to go together. Also, I could be wrong but I don't think they chose Rosie's name. I believe her actual name is Rose and was before they adopted her.

Long time This Gathered Nest viewer here. In a video months ago (I don't remember which one off the top of my head, but Angie said that she has let Kennedy and Shelby pick out their own clothes for years. As long as it's weather and occasion appropriate, she's cool with it. Kennedy does have a sensory disorder and prefers clothing that isn't tight and is soft. The child very rarely wears jeans, basically just for her horse back riding lessons.

While I agree that I'd never choose Kennedy and Shelby for names, I do think that together they sound okay. I'd also never choose Noah as there's other names I just prefer much better. Jonah is a name that is growing on me. The only one of their children that they didn't name is Rosie. Her Chinese name translates to Rose in English. So her given name is Rose and they call her Rosie as a nickname. However I do think that Kennedy, Shelby, Noah, Jonah, Rosie, Ivy and Amelia rolls off my tongue when I say all their names together. But that's just me.

Man, I am so worried for her. I mean in all likelihood its nothing. But part of me wishes they'd just induce now and deal with the extra NICU time because it just seems like there are enough things that are worrisome that it would be safer to just have them out. I'm not a doctor though so I don't really know anything. I would just be worried about something sudden happening between now and then like one of them passing.

Me too. I really hope everybody is okay. I feel like she's really trying to be positive but I bet she's nervous too :(

Also, I think it's nice that she's not going to make us wait for a birth vlog to meet the babies. I hate when YouTubers drag it out.
