Y'all are so hard on her lol I'm not annoyed by her yet because I just started watching her vlogs. I did get bothered by their morning routine though..
I find her cringey, maybe because Im the same age as her and it just feels like shes trying too hard to be "cool" or "funny" maybe she is having fun I dunno, but a lot of the time (like the dancing clip in back to school) it feels like an afterthought "oh I know, I should dance, that will make people think im cool"
I havent watched the pj thing but was she implying shes soooo busy from being their mum that she is unable to get dressed..busy doing what?
Also after reading about Shes in her apron on here I watched some of her vlogs last night, before I knew it it was 2am and I was making plans to do a weekly blessing on my home, dammit

No, she literally said "I like to wear nice pyjamas so my kids know I love them" I have no idea how that works
The first half of the video she was talking and shoving the camera in her mouth while chewing gum. Manners lady, ever heard of them? Wanted to slap her so hard that she spits it out.
I am curious what is she going to do these vlogs as the children will be gone most of the time...

I asked my daughter this morning (11 years old) if I wore pretty pajamas would that make her feel like I love being your mom? She gave me the craziest face and I just couldn't hold it together!! I laughed so hard!!
i finally got around to watching the morning routine. Did anyone else notice Kevin's eye roll in the beginning? I thought it was odd.
I actually like that she has them doing their music practice in the morning, but the chores are too much. I think they make their own lunches because it gives them the ability to select rather than her putting together something they may not like, but that should be the extent of it. They could all wake up a half hour later if ruby would do the cleaning up. I'm not sure what she did other than make breakfast and laundry.
The PJ comment was super weird too. She definitely didn't get across whatever she'd intended to say.
In the morning routine I can understand Ruby making them practice music but the rest is far too much. The twenty minutes of reading and the scripture reading would surely be much more of a night time activity. How is doing that supposed to wake you up in the morning especially when you have to get up that early. She says they don't have any night time routine but that's probably the problem. Pushing far too much in the morning and then letting the night time go to waste. Wouldn't it be much nicer for them to gather as a family in the evening and do their reading and scripture and talk about their day instead of this insanity? Also it would give the kids another half an hour in bed which can only be good for them.

I agree, reading is such a good way to wind down at the end of the day and the kids could all lie in their beds and read for 20 mins before lights out. And if reading scripture is your thing, it would definitely be better do it at the end of the day and then you can have a discussion about it and talk about the kids day at school.
Argh!!!! Between the kids' morning routine and learning how many views she's getting for this bullshit, Ruby has triggered my rage today. Last time I checked, she was barely getting 150k subs. I can't even remember when that was. I didn't realize her popularity had exploded, or have any expectation that it ever would.
I am from one of those families where the kids took care of the parents instead of parents taking care of kids. We didn't necessarily have a schedule, mom would just rip into us if she didn't feel we were being "proactive" enough about doing all of the things and keeping the house spotless. We didn't practice instruments or play sports though, because we were poor. And the reason why I can forgive my parents for saddling a 10 yr old with housekeeping, meal prep, laundry, childcare, and navigating life without any guidance is my parents suffered some hardcore addictions. After they cleaned up, they both worked hard at low paying manual labor jobs to keep a roof over our heads. It wasn't ideal - but they weren't waving a camera in our faces and putting it out there for the world to see.
They definitely weren't lounging on sofas or having spa days, apparently getting rich from pimping out their kids, and still making us live hard lives of desperation where we ate shitty diets and owned 2 shirts. Like I understand why I owned 2 shirts, but for Ruby's kids, there is no fucking excuse and she should be ashamed.
Ruby's teenager sleeps in the same bed as a fucking toddler. That is inappropriate. I'm sure Shari is a good kid, but there is no reason for any family in America to put their kids in shared beds. It is not thrifty or fun or "simple." It is fucking ridiculous. Not even Ellie and Jared - who I feel go overboard with the notion of giving their kids a "simple life" - have any interest in getting their kids into one bed.
I honestly think Kevin picked out that iPhone for Shari as an act of rebellion. He knows they don't need to be as cheap as Ruby wants them to be. I'd look miserable too if I'd woken up one day and found myself married to Ruby. I think her neuroticism is probably among the greatest proof that Grandma Griffith's is/was a class-A narcissist.
Bella404
Your videos always make me wanna get married and build a great family as yours
8 Passengers
+Bella404 what a sweet compliment. Building a family has been the best thing I ever did.
It's the ONLY thing she did!
Ruby talking again about leadership with Julie and she looked so uncomfortable.
Some kids have the personality and emotional intelligence to be leaders and some don't, just don't push it.
Actually I don't think that Julie is the type to be a leader. Abby is, and she always defends Julie from Ruby.
Russel definitely won't be able to lead...
It would make it worse if she is pushing them to do something that doesn't align with their personalities.
I agree, you can't force someone to be something they're not and its ok if they're not all leaders. If everyone in the world were leaders there would be a lot of problems.
Julie is obviously a very sensitive kid and ruby does nothing to help her.

along with the rest of Griffith family I find grandma griff is weird.
Abby and Julie must come up with a solution to get along in their shared bedroom. Ruby is low on energy and wonders if she is anemic. Low iron count only happens when she is pregnant, though.
You do not have your own TV show. What's next - a "Last time on 8 Passengers" montage? Cliffhangers? Rolling credits at the end?
I hate the way Ruby and other youtubers write descriptions like that! The tense of them is just so odd and unappealing. I'd rather it say "We went to the park and found something cool" instead of "The 8 passengers head to the park and find something cool!" Agreed, this is not a tv show or episodes.
And good god I hope she's not gearing up for a whole bunch of pregnancy speculation and/or is actually pregnant. I wouldn't put it past her to hint around at pregnancy for views or flat out get pregnant to grow her channel. I mean after 6, what's another one?! Seriously this woman complains all the time about her children and all the work she had to do, I think she'd lose it with another baby. And where in the world would they put a baby in their current house? The kids are already jammed together in awkward room situations.
.
I'm surprised to hear mentions that Ruby could be pregnant. I really doubt she is. She's mentioned several times how glad she is that the kids are getting older and so she is getting her life back. Technically she's been pregnant eleven times? I think when they had Eve they thought they were pushing it but Ruby said she was the one who had needed to have that last baby. They even made a big thing about getting rid of their green crib all the kids had used so I doubt they will be needing to change their name to 9 Passengers any time soon. I hope she isn't, she can't keep up with the six she already has.
If I were Abby or Julie and saw today's vlog, I'd feel more like shit than I already did.
Ruby mentioned that she looked back with fondness at the time when it was just Shari and Chad, when things were easy/manageable. She now feels like she has this experience again with Russell and Eve.
It's bad enough that Ruby creepily tends to group her kids by twos, i.e. ShariChad, AbbyJulie, RusselEve, but are AbbyJulie the morphed forgotten middle child in her mind? So sad.
