I’m not sure they think things through. It’s like they are so caught up in their own world. If they knew someone there, you know they’d be milking it with all it is worth. I think Cali did a great job summing it up. The prophet and leadership of the church are located in Salt Lake City. Since it’s a worldwide church, the biannual conference allows us to receive counsel from the leadership. It is rejuvenating to many and I love that I get to stay in my pajamas. It’s long. There are 8 hours for all members (in 2 hours chunks on Saturday and Sunday). I think the word expected is who you ask. In my home growing up, we watched all 8 hours no question. But I know a lot of people who will only watch Sunday sessions. There’s no one that ever asks you if you watch. Now that I go in and out of being an active Mormon, I haven’t watched it for a couple years but tuned in just for the Sunday morning session. The nice thing is, the talks all appear on the internet within a couple hours and are published by the church in the church magazine the following month. So if a session is missed, many say they will just read it. Some families are diehard. Others use it as a vacation weekend with no church responsibilities. To each their own!

Someone posted the link below but LDS.org would have them all both audio and written as well as - if you search around - probably answer any questions you had on how the Greedners aren’t real good missionaries for the Mormon church. Ha ha. Also any google search with a topic and “General Conference” or “LDS General Conference” and you can probably find out what our leaders say about any topic.
And you’d be surprised - Catholics and Mormons have our similarities. Sometimes in this world, we just have to find out what we have in common instead of scream at what we have that’s different. It would be a good lesson coming out of today in our world, wouldn’t it? Sigh.
Why would they use that font in any case? As much as they LOVE Halloween for little kids Halloween should be cute and fun not blood & gore even if that's what Dad likes. It's not something I'd choose to promote something with my 2 year old on it.
They are entirely self involved and when they're called on it people are being mean.

I think that they consider anything they make at home to be homemade even if it comes from a box or a can. For them it is probably like eating homemade as much as they eat out.
It happens to the best of us. Sometimes I get so angry and frustrated that it’s easy for me to think that no couple in their 30s can be this batass shit crazy so I jump quickly to there must be something wrong with them. If I think of the quads as being HUGE 18-month old babies, it helps me cope. If I think of Bison and Asswipe as HUGE HUGE HUGE with an extra scoop of HUGE adolescents it helps me remember that they aren’t evil people. (Some of their behavior, I could argue but that’s besides the point). I think they are greedy and selfish and in way over their heads, but not evil . . . most of the time . . . I’m pretty sure . . . There is a pretty big zoo in my city and they have memberships, so you can go as often as you like and not pay admission. Pretty sure that was when they went to some kind of petting zoo place with one of the cousins (Tuna maybe?). That's where I thought they might be going when she said they were going to see animals. I guess I should have known they were actually going to the gun store to look at taxidermy. That's T-bag's favorite place! For crying out loud, even a fucking museum would be better than a gun store. I'm so not a religious person and am openly not a republican. I have gay, trans, straight. black white, biracial, wealthy and poor, disabled (and on and on) friends and family. When you post a photo of your children holding a gun (that looks real, mind you) in a way that even slightly suggests that you have no care for the safety or well being of not only your kid, but others as well, then it's horrifically disgusting in my opinion. That man is sick and honestly needs to be committed.

But what was most appalling was that he had to write down prayers for Vegas! He couldn't remember that? You could see his eye shift right before he mentioned it & was silent for a moment. So he goes off on another tangent about how good trumps evil while trying his hardest to cry! Seriously he is going on and on hoping to get to the point a tear or 2 would pop out. But it didn't work. He couldn't get the tears flowing. He got them red but no tears!

My daughter is visiting her friend in Vegas and was at that concert, right up front when it happened. I finally heard from her around 1am and she is safe and is only scraped up from crawling out on her hands and knees and jumping over barricades but she's got somebody's blood all over her and is freaked out beyond belief she doesn't even care how she will get home, she's just glad to be alive. She got separated from her friend, lost her purse with her phone in it. She was able to call me from the MGM where they had a "lockdown" for people. She doesn't know her friends phone number by heart much less her address. I was able to contact her friend on Facebook to let her know my daughter was ok. But I haven't heard back from my daughter and she has no idea if her friend is ok, injured or even alive. I was able to get through to the MGM security where she called from to let her know her friends phone number and that her friend is ok but they moved everyone to the university of Nevada for disaster relief.
You can't call and talk to anyone there. They are only taking people's names to pass on to the coroner or hospital. At least I know she is ok. I just hate that she's all by herself freaking out because of what she went through and not knowing about her friend.
I'm just numb.
I’m sure sorry, lovethispage. I don’t think we have the ability to grasp what it’s like to be there or to worry about loved ones being there until we have lived it. I’m sorry you got a taste of that agony. It’s not fair. I don’t understand how you can live 64 years on this earth and just decide to one day mow innocent people down. They were like ducks in a barrel at a street fair with no coverage. My mind can’t handle it. I grew up in Las Vegas so my heart is heavy. Fortunately, I apparently don’t know many people who like Country Music. Ha! I do have a relative who was a first responder on police/fire/ambulance duty. He arrived during the chaos. I am not sure much else except this senseless act could make such a mighty man traumatized. I’m so glad your daughter is safe.
Just a side note. There was a lady from Utah there that was interviewed on the Utah news this morning. She finally ran and was able to duck and crawl to her nearby hotel for cover. Got in the elevator. Everyone was piling on. The elevator got stuck. Can you imagine? I mean honestly. You just escape this horrible situation, get in an elevator, finally maybe take a deep breath, and wham - lights go out, elevator stops. My heart couldn’t handle it!
I try to always remember this on days like today. Don’t let the evil scare away the good and remember the heroes and helpers amidst the carnage. So many have their lives and ran BACK into the crowd trying to help complete strangers. Always look for the helpers

Notice how fast the addressed a tragedy that isn't necessarily in need of monetary support from our nation. They're "praying" and "crying" and "heartbroken" today, yet they kept their damn mouth glued shut for WEEKS after Harvey and didn't say or do a freaking thing until it became clear that Florida was going to be hit just as bad, if not worse. I still would be willing to bet a lot of money that they addressed their "sizable donation" of what was largely made up of things their viewers actually donated to another family, not to them. I think they made this donation when they did because it was close enough to Irma that no one really asked them if they would donate there too. They got a buy one, get one free special with that donation, curtesy of the KAD. Now they're free to be as sad as they "want" because no one is pressuring them to do anything for someone other than themselves!

Really sorry this doesn't read very well. I (yet again) failed to proofread and I can no longer edit that post. Hopefully it makes sense. Did anyone see the opening monologue from James Corden on YouTube tonight? Its heart wrenching to hear it from the prospective of someone who has only just recently immigrated to America. It's just so sad to have to watch our nation having to go through these tragedies week after week. My hearts just hurts so badly.
I don't think they are interested in, or watch any news, or anything for that matter. Maybe, Friends reruns. On a live feed someone commented that the heavies resemble Princess Charlotte, he had no clue who she was. They live in their own isolated, claustrophobic little bubble.
I watched, again, the vlog when they took Esme for her X-ray. She was really talkative. Now, not so much. Sad that the girls seem to regress so easily when they are around their parents. They have the potential, but their teachers are a couple of juvenile, uneducated idiots.
