Re: Ellie and Jared: Hide and Seek....guess where Mommy is.....in bed! | Part #128
They do because people tell them so. Her IG comments are filled with people telling her how amazing and wonderful she is and how they all wish they could be just like her. People lined up at conventions to meet her, and if she had the same experience as other vloggers, some of them cried.
Any dissenters are quickly deleted and blocked, even if they only offer constructive criticism.
I will _never_ understand the blind worship of YouTubers. Actual celebrities get criticized all the time, but dare to criticize a vlogger, and you get attacked by their fans. It's weird.

A dog came. Penny reacted like a normal dog. Ellie dropped the leash. Ellie proceeded to scream and bawl in public. It's ALL Jared's fault. Now they're announcing it over the internet as a Very Tragic Story.
You can't even make this shit up.

This isn’t even their first fight in a store they’ve vlogged about. When Jackson was little Ellie wanted to buy a shirt Jared said she already had and she had a temper tantrum on him.natalka81 wrote:A dog came. Penny reacted like a normal dog. It’s all manipulative and toxic. She teaches people not to question or disagree with her by lashing out quickly, emotionally and aggressively without pause. No doubt Mother Jennifer behaved in a similar manner. Bonnie has expressed a fear of this from Ellie before as well (though I think she can 100% be the same with her own children). No wonder Jackson has lost the cute little personality he once had, and Cal appears to prefer to be alone.
Jared is a passive moron, but he’s also in an emotionally abusive relationship. For someone as sensitive and people pleasing as Jared, being with Ellie would be soul crushing and disheartening. He’s never good enough or doing the right things.

Ellie is nuts. I'm going to guess She would not allow her children to throw a tantrum in a store like that. Yhey would be writing an apology note. Yet when she does, it is funny and completely not her fault.

I agree. Ellie is an abuser. She is verbally and emotionally abusive which makes this a domestic violence filled marriage, and Jared is the victim. Ellie's behavior is unacceptable. To turn around and blame the dog situation on Jared, is disgusting. Her children's behavior also screams to me that they themselves are victims to verbal abuse and emotional neglect.HelloSweetie wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 9:37 amThis isn’t even their first fight in a store they’ve vlogged about. If their genders were reversed and Jared was screaming at Ellie in public, people would be all up in arms.

Also, notice how Jared posted an instastory of Ellie holding Penny’s leash and made sure to write how Penny is doing so much better with Ellie now?
Now we also know for sure why Ellie is so insistent on continuing to build the million dollar sandcastle. Bonnie and Joel announced and shared (officially) about their 13 acres of property they bought where “Joel will build her dream home”. Also, I know this isn’t Bonnie’s thread and I’ll go post there too. But who needs 13 acres? I have a friend that lives in 5 and even that is a lot to care for.

It will be interesting to see what they do with 13. We had 6 downsized to 1 and I am ready to downsize again!Mk1 wrote:Also, notice how Jared posted an instastory of Ellie holding Penny’s leash and made sure to write how Penny is doing so much better with Ellie now?

Space. I’d love 13 acres. We have a couple lakefront acres as a rev property and I’d love more brush and nature surrounding us that’s our own.Mk1 wrote:Also, notice how Jared posted an instastory of Ellie holding Penny’s leash and made sure to write how Penny is doing so much better with Ellie now?

They always wanted land to build on, and have certainly waited to save up for it. I don’t think buying 13 acres had anything to do with competing with E&J tbh.
Anytime Joel buys tech though? That’s definitely competition between Jared and Joel. He’s a brand man, but has never been into technology. He prides himself on being old school. 13 acres of property is definitely old school.

Growing up, my fondest memories were playing with the neighborhood kids. I can't imagine being on a 13 acre property pretty much isolated from everyone. You know B&J are so lazy they will never take their kids anywhere to interact with other kids. They will be banished to the basement to watch their family's vlogs and forced to play with each other. I wonder where the closest school is to them not that education matters in that house. New builds are big on YouTube so it will be interesting to see what kind of views they get.

Re: Ellie and Jared: Hide and Seek....guess where Mommy is.....in bed! | Part #128
If Ellie can’t control her dog in public.. WHY did she decide to take her in public?! Like this whole thing could’ve been avoided very easily. Also I totally feel like she pushed this on Jared because penny is “his” dog. I noticed way back when they originally got her that Ellie only wanted the cute puppy. Anytime Jared was in his office, where was penny? Yeah, in his office with him. It’s very clear that no matter how much she SAYS she wanted penny, she definitely DID NOT. She wanted the cute puppy, until she peed on the floor. She wanted snuggles, until she tore something up.
I am confident that Jared wanted that breed of dog more (can’t remember if she’s golden or a lab). So now Ellie can throw it in his face every time she is “bad”. So it’s his “fault” for wanting that dog and his “fault” because he is definitely the primary caregiver of penny.
It’s pretty freaking obvious Ellie loved the IDEA of a big family with pets more than she actually loves her big family with pets.

I didn’t mean Bonnie and Joel did it for competition with Ellie and Jared. I don’t feel like they’re really like that so much as Ellie and Jared (let’s be honest, mostly Ellie) are. But I do think Bonnie and Joel buying that huge 13 acre property definitely makes Ellie’s blood boil and she’s probably making lists of all the things she can and will do to “one up” Bonnie like she always seems to have felt the need to with all of her siblings in one way or another because she’s jealous and/or sees it as attention being taken away from her.
I know Joel and the boys like the outdoors and all that and I guess gives them space for 4 wheeling and sledding. That just seems like a LOT of land to me. Bonnie does to an extent - at least appreciates the views and her surroundings. But she likes to stay in the house and in bed and pampering all the time. I definitely can’t her trading all of her “fancy”, expensive clothes though for casual, hanging out outdoors on the property all the time clothes.
I like Bonnie and Joel more than Ellie and Jared (who I cannot stand). Good for Bonnie for getting her (future) bigger house that she wanted. And it’s a good fit for Joel who enjoys the outdoors and is handy and all that. I’m just interested to see if/how they actually utilize that amount of land they now have all to themselves. And just seems odd to me to also still have the other random property and have money tied up in that indefinitely.

Genuine question, but is having acreage not "normal" where most of you live? I see a lot of comments about having "that much" land but where I live pretty much everyone has that much space or wants it. Even the primpy people who definitely won't have livestock or anything. Land is *almost* always a good investment.

Re: Ellie and Jared: Hide and Seek....guess where Mommy is.....in bed! | Part #128
Most people who buy homes in the US, at least around populated areas, get houses built on postage stamp sized lots. And they build the house out to the edges and leave tiny yards. The only places that have decent yards are in older neighborhoods. The builders want to get as many houses built as they can on the property. You have to go way out from urban areas to get any kind of land around your house. I worked with people in San Francisco who commuted a good 2 hours with traffic, just so their kids could have yards.Apm1993 wrote:Genuine question, but is having acreage not "normal" where most of you live? Re: Ellie and Jared: Hide and Seek....guess where Mommy is.....in bed! | Part #128
I live in a pretty big/populated city and suburb in a neighborhood built in the early 2000s with decent sized homes, yards and space between houses. Lots of neighborhoods here and, yes, as the previous poster mentioned a lot of the very new neighborhoods being built have smaller plots and yards because they try to build as many homes as they can in a space. Homes out on the “country” roads on the outskirts or in some of our adjacent counties that are more rural have acerage and farms and whatnot (or at least smaller neighborhoods with decent sized properties) but mostly smaller and/or older homes. Not many people buying land to build new on. And, unfortunately, our city is already really populated but expected to grow significantly in the next 10 years due to the job market and all that so we’re going through an annoying and upsetting phase of apartment developers buying up all of our green space to build massive, high rise, super expensive but questionable quality apartment communities where the monthly rent is significantly higher than most peoples’ mortgage payments. So this is also creating a competitive market for single family homes because there aren’t as many single family homes existing or being built 1) due to land being purchased for apartment communities and 2) lots of people moving here. It’s sad to not have more homes being built and be losing our “green space” as we call it. It’s annoying that the apartment developers can’t go literally 15-20 minutes outside of the city and develop areas that have tons and tons and tons of land. Rather than over-populating this area, creating more traffic to already high traffic roads and making recent road construction kind of useless when they’re adding so many more residences so quickly that the road projects don’t seem to make a difference they could be spreading out, requiring people to venture out a very short and super reasonable distance and encouraging the development of super under developed areas for living.
In my opinion, some land could be desirable to people here if it had some spectacular view or something or a family was specifically interested in farming or recreational vehicles, etc but the majority of us are so accustomed to having friends and neighbors really close by, community and neighborhood events, having everything close by and all that so I don’t think there are very many that seek to have acerage unless they really have the time and passion to care for and enjoy putting it to good use. If that makes sense? Not judging those who have or desire land to live on. I just don’t see Bonnie ever really leaving her “mansion” once it’s built.
I have to say, I really will miss their existing house. Joel has done such a nice job updating it and it looks cozy and well-kept, and I feel like (other than Bonnie insisting she needs more closet space) they have done just fine with the space they have. Their current house is so charming to me. It will be nice as the kids get older though to not have to share rooms and all that though so I get it. Plus, the fact that they updated and poured so much time and love into that home was really the one thing that maybe for a good period of time had them stand out to me in a more positive light compared to other family vloggers because it made them seem more relatable, grounded, and appreciative. They’ve changed quite a bit though in the last couple years in that respect, obviously. And it honestly seemed that B+J’s changes to how they are now started when E+J built the ice palace and they were super close in proximity and spent so much time together. I know Bonnie and Ellie have always had a closer relationship than they do with their other siblings, but I think once they lived literally a bike ride away from each other, spent practically every single day together, all of the undesirable qualities Ellie has really rubbed off on Bonnie. Because Bonnie definitely was not always like she is now.

Re: Ellie and Jared: Hide and Seek....guess where Mommy is.....in bed! | Part #128
Agree 100%. If Penny is rambunctious, they need to work with her, and they need to not take her to stores until she is better trained. It's not Penny's fault. She has been largely ignored since she got back from her fancy training school. And that certainly doesn't make a big goofy dog like a lab inclined to be obedient. Ellie actually wanted a yellow lab because she had a yellow lab growing up. Once again trying to recreate her "idyllic" childhood (like with her toys that she has so lovingly held onto.) But the reality of a lab puppy was too much for her, just like the reality of having kids. You're so right about how she wanted the family and the dog but reality didn't live up to the fantasy. Missy and Katie are the same way-- no wonder they're "besties". Or were.NormalName wrote:If Ellie can’t control her dog in public.. WHY did she decide to take her in public?! Glad everyone had the same reaction to their fight video as I did. Ellie is a toddler and Jared needs to stop justifying it and blaming himself. They absolutely made the video as damage control in case someone saw it happen and recognized them. What really struck me was how in the video, Ellie showed no remorse or shame and acted like she was completely justified in how she acted. She literally couldn't think of anything she did wrong when Jared asked!! She certainly is an abusive partner in that relationship.

Their views are way down. No one cares about the house content. Their top end estimate on SB is $65k a year. Even if they had yearly PPP loans rolling in, they couldn’t afford the life they are trying desperately to hold onto (for comparison B&J’s views are also down but they have a top estimate of $200k and have a house they can at least sell to put toward their new build (or rent for additional income). Plus the profit from the meth house. I’m baffled E&J think another giant build is a good idea! They definitely aren’t following Dave Ramsey anymore!

They are looking like Cullen and Katie, but worse in different ways. E+J will not inherit money from parents and the lack of income coming in now doesn't make sense when you balance it against their enormous spending. Nothing adds up.HelloSweetie wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 7:29 am Their views are way down. No one cares about the house content. Their top end estimate on SB is $65k a year. I follow Jared's brother Matt and his wife Em. They purchased a modest rambler and have gutted rooms that are looking very nice when completed. Matt lives a modest life and has said he has a job, but asked for privacy with his professional life. They also appear very happy. I would say they are in better shape financially living within their means and Matt working.
I really thought when E+J sold their home they were going to downsize their life since Ellie decided no more YouTube that was a big part of their income.
