8 Puffy Passengers - Part #7
Re: 8 Puffy Passengers - Part #7
Anyone see Jennifer’s vlog? Ruby hurt herself and Jennifer pulled out the camera and ruby says while laughing “this is how the kids feel when they get hurt and mom pulls out the camera”.
That all think the whole demonetizing over exploiting children in distress is one big joke eh?

Yes he's very young and from day one has been taught to perform for the camera, but he's not a natural like some kids. Also, he's mostly likely got some kind of special needs, but we don't know for sure or what as Ruby has decided to keep that private which I respect.sunshine12 wrote:Gosh, that is SO annoying. That Hatchable that supposedly Russel gave Evie is $70. That kind of money on a 4 year old. These people are nuts!
And yesterday house tour was lame. Quit trying to put on a production Ruby. You are not a film maker. It’s embarrassing.

I actually looked forward to their house tour after reading about it here as I haven't watched them for ages. House tours on youtube are fun and entertaining. But this was a tired house tour vlog, it felt empty and didn't give us much. Maybe because she didn't show more than what we usually see in their daily vlogs. Also the kids weren't naturally involved, it felt controlled and Ruby did all the talking while the kids got to say one or two words.

Anyone notice how Ruby will only buy what she wants the kids to wear? Which is expensive clothing, Like if they want a nice simple shirt and pants, Ruby would be like "You like that? Why don't we go look at the bright yellow colored floral gown thats 50 dollars"

I'm glad Julie got her sewing machine, she's been wanting one for awhile now.

So all the boys got Lego from the Griffiths - anyone wondered if its the same that they had "gifted" to other kids?
Or why would Jennifer get for example the little boys like Lincoln & Calvin a set that is from5 to 12? (And if I remember corret there was a car and trailer in the box aswell just like the one Calvin got)

They literally have nearly 20 grandkids and counting to buy for and that doesn't include adults that they may buy for as well. Those kids are lucky to get anything at all. It's the thought that counts.
It's a bit nitpicky to question the fact that they weren't able to personalize the gifts when they have so many to buy for.
Re: 8 Puffy Passengers - Part #7
I get it with that many people making things easier plus they were sick so this year they get a pass. I honesty was more bothered that the girls got a locket gum and chap stick. It felt like the gum and chap stick were putty gifts since they can't play with their gift like the boys could. Did chase get the Lego set? I just think as a child getting the exact same gift as everyone is very impersonal. I wouldn't choose to give like that especially as their grandparents.

Re: 8 Puffy Passengers - Part #7
I watched their Christmas morning vlog today and was overwhelmed by the number of (expensive) presents each child received. Not just Ruby's family, but Bonnie's as well. I fully expect the same from Ellie when her vlog goes up tomorrow. I never received that many growing up, and it was just me and my brother, and we were well off. It almost feels like they're showing off their wealth earned from exploiting their children.
I am amused.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the gifts not being personalized to fit each grandchild, but it is pretty lame to get the boys a fun toy like legos that they actually get to play with, while the girls get a jewelry and lip stuff. Fits in with the subtle sexism that goes on in the family though.

Re: 8 Puffy Passengers - Part #7
I agree. Either give everyone a toy or everyone a meaningful gift but don’t do half and half because obviously the little girls are going to want the lego over the necklace. And they make little girl lego sets that I’m sure the girls would have loved.Defuego wrote:I don't think there's anything wrong with the gifts not being personalized to fit each grandchild, but it is pretty lame to get the boys a fun toy like legos that they actually get to play with, while the girls get a jewelry and lip stuff. Maybe it's because I didn't have grandparents growing up, but, who would really want a locket with their grandma and grandpa inside?? I just thought that was a little weird... what do you think? Haha

I wouldn't mind the picture of my grandparents now but as a child I know I would have been disappointed.

Oh, but it's Jennifer and Chad. The great matriarch of the Griffiths and her consort. They should be honored!jenboghel01 wrote:Maybe it's because I didn't have grandparents growing up, but, who would really want a locket with their grandma and grandpa inside?? So many "Christmas vlogs" are just a big opportunity to show off all the money they have made off their kids. In one way, it's good, because those kids probably won't see much of that money. So it's nice that they get to have a few amazing Christmas celebrations before the gravy train runs out.
But it's also such a gross display of gluttony. I just feel like I need a shower after watching. All the screaming and yelling, and "Look what I got!!" showing off, makes me feel skeevy.
