In some parts of the country (like where I live) school starts the first full week of August, so next Monday. Some districts even start in late July. So this makes sense to me. It seems way too early to start back but many schools start the year earlier and earlier.
My kids don't go back to school until September 5th. My oldest will be in 8th grade. I'm NOT ready to have a child entering high school next year. It seems like it was just yesterday he was born.
My youngest started high school today and im SO SAD.
My youngest will be in 1st grade this year. The day she starts high school I know I’m going to cry. When the bus pulled away last year for her first day of kindergarten I admit I cried like a baby. She’s our miracle baby and is very dear to my heart. Her grandfather calls her Miss Smiley that’s all you need to know about her. She’s the sweetest and happiest child I’ve ever seen. She managed to outdo her 8-year-old brother in that department which I didn’t think could be possible.
Am I the only one who finds it odd that only Corbin takes her to swim. Like, if one of my kids are in an activity I am there. Even more so when it was my first.

eh, i think one on one time is important so swimming being 'their thing' might be sweet if a) they all had full, busy lives and weren't on top of each other 24/7 and b) kelsey was allowed to have special time with june too

Having four grown children, I remember being very sad when my youngest started her senior year until someone pointed out that sure you have a lot of last things happening this year, but you still have a lot more first yet to come. Celebrate your last year in high school savor every minute, but don’t dwell on it being over.
Yep, shopping at Fred Meyer (which I guess is now owned by Kroger) was totally a brand deal/#ad. I guess preschoolers do back-to-school shopping too, but really? Someone literally paid them to "buy" things for their 2-year-old. What a strange career. They certainly don't need more junk in that tiny house.

I was just thinking ... that brand deal $$$$$ is probably paying her preschool tuition.
They really think a kid with red hair must have a parent with red hair? Are they seriously that dumb? Obviously a redhead is more likely if one of the parents has red hair, but there are PLENTY of kids who don't have a parent or even a grandparent with red hair. Genetics are funny that way.
Plus, Kelsey's natural hair color seems a bit reddish to me...and I don't mean when she had the henna hair color. She seems to be a strawberry blonde. And isn't she Irish??

Neither of my parents or grandparents had red hair and guess what I'm a redhead! I laughed so hard when Corbin said that and I said immediately too myself "What an idiot"! I had one great-grandparent on each side and a great-aunt on each side that were redheads. I have five biological children and three of them are redheads and left-handed like me. My late mother-in-law was a redhead so my kids had a far greater chance of being a redhead then I did.

It does have to come from both sides of the family, but that doesn’t mean one parent HAS to have red hair. Idiots! And Kelsey definitely has that redhead gene anyway, even if she’s not completely ginger, there’s a tinge there for sure
re: Kelsey’s glucose test- IS there an alternative to the drink? TBH that’s in my top five biggest fears about pregnancy but I don’t trust her enough to believe there’s an alternative

The glucose test is nothing the only reason you tubers make such a big deal out of it is because it’s one of the few things in a pregnancy they can drag out, it doesn’t taste gross and hey u get to feel a lot of strong pissed off kicks from baby at least mine did it really is nothing and I believe their might be an alternative but I don’t think it’s as accurate I would rather sit in mild discomfort for an hour to know if I had gestational diabetes which is manageable especially if it means not knowing could put baby at risk, Kelsey is an idiot who thinks she knows better than any doctor!

It is nothing. I have never ever understood people who make such a big deal about it. It taste like drinking sweet flat pop. That is it. You drink it wait a bit and then they take your blood and you're done. Then you go eat and youre good to go. I wouldn't listen to anything Kelsey says, I am surprised she knows how to tie her shoes at this point.

Youtubers make a big deal about it for clicks. Period. The extended one isn't any fun, because you have to sit around for a few hours getting your blood drawn every half hour. But even then, it's not as awful as they make it seem. The liquid is basically sweet orange soda without the bubbles. It's better if you refrigerate it.

Seriously. It's tiny, too. The nurse told me I could take my time drinking it if I needed to. I saw the size, tasted it, then threw it back like a shot, lol! It tastes like a melted orange popsicle. I felt FINE. Super irritated at Kelsey for blowing it out of proportion.
