My husband and I ended up in a long discussion about the Bumps yesterday- he remembers when I used to "like" them in 2013 when Ollie was a new baby and we'd just had our first (also named Oliver, coincidentally!), and has been hearing little updates from me along the way since. He was pretty depressed hearing that information about Missy, plus he wasn't aware that Bryan had moved into a new phase (the "country" style thing- which as a musician and a "Southerner" with centuries of family history in that region, he finds extremely cringe worthy). I showed him some of Bryan's latest pics and the new image he put out yesterday. He was disturbed. His take: Bryan and Missy absolutely do not love or care for each other, Missy is mentally stunted because of the abuse that she suffered and although he does agree that it's possible Missy was at one point the one stringing Bryan along and abusing him, at this point he sees Bryan as totally exploiting Missy- especially the way he always tries to use her body to sell his music. The reason he sees it as exploitation is because Missy is insecure and desperate for attention. I noticed that Missy liked or responded to a tweet from her friend (the one who also grew up in the church) about how they were so mad about wasting their hottest years wearing modest clothing. Missy was only restricted like that during her early teens, so I may be reading into it too much but this just screams to me that she has internalized the pedophilia and believes she was at her most attractive/appealing/special at that time of her life and now she's trying to desperately recapture that. I think both of them are deeply wound up in their own narcissistic emotional/mental issues and everything they do is only motivated by making themselves happy- like we joked that they could very well be cheating on each other or even just flirting with other people but even if they did it wouldn't be because they're interested in other people, it would just be to glorify themselves. My husband pointed out that the entire time he's ever seen videos of the two of them, Bryan always seemed to speak in a fake, condescending way, and Missy always had a dead, disturbing look in her eyes. Also husband agreed he must be sinking so much money into this music crap and it's so messed up that he continues to do so while they've had to scale back spending in other ways. We're both expecting a crash and burn even if it takes several more years. Idk, I wish I could remember more of what we talked about and the points my husband made but I found it interesting that he finally had hit a wall with them and was totally depressed to hear about their current position.

I honestly don't think she is talking about the church like that because she's "grown and matured". People who have matured don't ditch the kids they claim to have wanted SO badly every chance they get to head off to Vegas to drink and dance on tables, or encourage their no-talent husband to throw the money their children have earned away on a foolish, selfish "dream". I think she is attention seeking as usual. I think she likes Bryan trying to be a singer (I refuse to call him a musician-- musicians don't learn guitar from an APP) because she likes standing there yelling "whoooo!" and drinking while someone else watches her kids, and she pretends to be Jason Aldean's wife, or the wife of whomever Bryan is emulating this week. If he becomes a big star, she will bask in reflected glory. And build a 4000SF house.

My daughter wants to move there so badly. She loves country music-- it used to be the one kind of music that my classic rock loving son and pop loving daughter could agree on in the car (until he joined the Army and hot sick of it, lol)We're planning on moving to Richmond VA to be closer to family, but we will certainly stop by on our way across the country!
I think they are just clickbaiting. They bitch about it being "cold" when it's 60 degrees out, and Missy whines every time it rains.

I don't think he'd like living in Nashville or being away from CA for too long. They are the type to have their family take loans out all the way to the end. They will just file for bankruptcy because they don't care about anyone but themselves.

Also, thinking about her tweets...Missy is Brainwashed. No changing that now...A church suggesting people should stay away from movies, theaters, certain music, etc....isn't a cult. Perhaps the u.s. is a cult. It shows wisdom. It just isn't well explained to people. Having children follow people who have ZERO principles is the worst thing we could do to our communities. He is probably linked with her because of whoever she is signed with....I can look into it. Bryan, we know, is, in part, signed up with BMI....Producers can be linked with people and depending on how the contracts are set up...its easy to find out why they are being loaned out, make appearances, say what they say in interviews, etc.

Record exes don't give a shit about a nothing but what they are after. There isn't much to say with them but perhaps between them.

OMG, I had totally forgotten about the way he makes fun of the accents every time he is around Cullen and Katie. Wasn't he even making fun of Gaines accent one time? I remember it because we were talking about how Ollie and Finn are so speech delayed and how obnoxious he was for saying anything about the way any other child spoke.
And yes: it's absolutely out there for anyone to see how he has changed constantly, and how he claimed to have chopped wood listening to a Keith Urban song that hadn't been released yet. I know that record company execs probably don't care that he's inauthentic, as long as he can make them money. But the fans will care.
