What gets me with these two is that they always squander opportunities when they travel! I watched the Johnson's vlog just to get another perspective, but they did the exact same thing Missy and Bryan did! Breakfast at the resort. Pool time at the resort. Walking around at the resort. Spa treatment (although the Lumps didn't do that) at the resort. Napping at the resort. Dinner at the resort. The Hawaiian islands are beautiful, and the culture is so very different from the mainland! All the Lumps seemed to notice was that it smelled different there. What about trying some different food instead of just getting Italian every day? Yes, it's a series of sponsored vlogs, but is that stopping them from getting a car and exploring even just a little bit? Maybe they'll prove me wrong tomorrow, and will go out... to Target.

And again with "amazing"! It's definitely the word of the day. For SlyFox too. They used the word "amazing' something like 10 times in a 13:30 minute vlog today. I know I am nitpicking. But someone, anyone, please tell me it annoys you too!

Don't insult the first graders I work with - some of them have way better vocabs then this crew. They also don't say "she did good" ,which makes me roll my eyes every time.

Another vlogger I watch is in Hawaii right now, and the comparison between their vlogs is crazy. Missy & co sit on their ass, like they do at home, and this other vlogger is ALL About exploring. Actually seeing things, trying new things.

The other vlogger:

Even Carlie Butler did more! They went to a pineapple farm, and a zoo,band even Pearl Harbor. They've been to Hawaii how many times and haven't been to Pearl Harbor once, have they? Do they even know what war it memorializes? Actually, though, I would almost rather they didn't go. I would barf if I saw Bryan doing his praying hands pose, or if they made some reference to the movie. Because let's face it, Ben Affleck is the only reason they would know anything about it.

Exactly. My 9 year old is better spoken, has more manners and is far less socially awkward than a lot of the vlogger out there. He judges them HARD. Its actually very sad.

So in the Johnson Fam vlog, he looks down from the balcony at Bryan and Missy walking along, and Missy has her phone out. She's in freaking Hawaii, and she can't look up from her phone and be in the moment.

I saw this in that vlog, too! I'm really curious about what in the world she could be doing all day _every_ day on her phone! She's not very active on social media. I'm fairly certain Bryan runs her twitter, and she doesn't post much on Instagram. Maybe she has private accounts? But she and Bryan don't seem to have friends outside of family and their paid entourage, so what would be the point of private accounts? Is she on Pinterest all day, looking for a way to redecorate each room a thousand times over? Is she reading CNN? Haha! That's obviously a joke! I can't see her caring about the news.

I seriously hope she doesn't spend that much time here, and monitoring comments on their channel. What a sad existence that would be! If it's texting Mommy and Daddy all day, that's even worse! Put the phone down, Missy! Put it down, and observe the life all around you!

There aren't even enough comments here to spend so much time looking at her phone. Maybe she's texting her secret lover? Did every notice how Missy's family seemed much happier without her? I'm not sure we've ever seen Papa look so happy.

I haven't been watching the vlogs lately, only reading here but do we know for sure missy is staying in Hawaii when the guys go back? What if after Hawaii her and tal are going to Portland/ wherever Kelsey's family is and doing the baby shower and the guys go home? I'm guessing the Ellie, Bonnies girls trip situation isn't with them.

I seriously have no comment for today's vlog....these guys are just being lazy as usual and wasting time they could have been spending with their kids....this vacation is just pointless....but I did manage to get some amazing shots of Missy....enjoy! hahahaha

Well yesterday we took a ride over to that side of the island. There's a very small parking lot that's free for us to be able to use the lagoons there. Decided that we'd take a look around the four seasons to see if we see them (but also hubby hasn't seen it since the renovation). Unfortunately no parking anywhere and we just didn't want to pay for the hotel parking rates.
Probably something that bothers me more than anything about these people is their total lack of worldliness. There are some great, really good restaurants right across the street yet they stay at the hotel. It'd be nice for them to rent a car like someone else said. See the real beauty of Hawaii meet some local people! Try something different for goodness sakes!
Typical tourist! Yes, it's been cold and windy here!

Have we talked about this yet, but what's going to be their focus now that his album has flopped and all of their stories have been told? Now what???

I don't think they would want to meet local people because they would not look like them. In other words, they are not interested in embracing/learning about the. Culture of others. Some(narrow minded) people are like that. Very sad.

Even when Bryan went to Cambodia (the trip that changed his life? *sarcasm*) he still seemed to be in his own little egotistical bubble. I'm sure he enjoyed the praise from the minions more than anything else.

Ugh. I miss the old Daily Bumps. One of their old vlogs when Ollie was just a baby showed up and I watched and mannnnnn..what a difference I sat and watched and tried to figure out what was so different. Besides the obvious "new money" attitude, I realized it's two main things. Missy seems so much less genuine now, like she is just this sad disconnected person...and oh gosh Bryan. A few years back he didn't dress like a 14 year old Justin Bieber wannabe and didn't use the words "brooooo" and "yea mannnnn" and "dude" in every sentence. Like what one earth...He's like a totally different person. Ick.

Bryan is such a TRY HARD. They didn't eat on a private beach. I've been there. The restaurant and raised outdoor seating is right behind the person taking the photograph....they are just below it on an area where they have added a few feet of sand and tables. The sidewalk is right on the other side of the bushes there, and the real beach is next to it. You can see it in the picture and there are tons of kids still playing (probably Aulani guests). There is nothing private about that spot, unless he means removed from the other tables. They would actually be on display for everyone walking down the path and that would be rush hour at the moment for everyone walking down to see the sunset (the best viewing spot is about 100 feet to the right of them)

If you scroll back to the first Bumps Along The Way posts, there's barely any change at all. They copied anyone they could, they eat out all the time, they follow the current trend, they acted like some big celebrities, neverending curiosity about B being gay. All the way back to when M was pregnant with Ollie. The only difference is now they have the $$$.
