Carissa & Brian
Re: Carissa & Brian
According to Carissa's IG, they have had some bad things happen within the next couple of days, but they won't be talking about it in depth until after Christmas. What is the point in bringing it up if you're not going to talk about it until later? I am curious about what is happening, though.
Re: Carissa & Brian
They got pregnant without medical intervention and had a miscarriage. I feel so sad for them. I hope they're able to extend their family.

Re: Carissa & Brian
She may not be my fav but I hate that this has happened again. She struggled SO much with the first miscarriage, this one will absolutely destroy her mentally. I truly hope she gets some professional help. Brian definitely tries to be positive for her, which is great but I think she needs more.
I do hope it can happen again for them.

Re: Carissa & Brian
For anyone who doesn't follow her on IG, Carissa was able to get some testing done, and they discovered that she is 1) Vitamin D deficient, 2) has a blood clotting disorder, and 3) likely has an autoimmune disease, which she thinks is Hashimoto's Disease. Hashimoto's can lead to infertility. They're still waiting for two more tests, but I'm happy that they've gotten answers! Also, Carissa said that she has been handling this miscarriage better than the first one, which she attributes to already experiencing a miscarriage. I'm glad that she's doing better in that aspect, too.
However, I've watched a couple other women who have struggled with infertility, and they all have gotten blood work similar to Carissa done after repeated miscarriages. Wouldn't it make more sense to have the blood work done as part of the initial start with IVF? Or even going to the GYN with fertility concerns? I'm not blaming the women, of course, more so the doctors because it seems like a lot of money, time, etc can be saved if they test thyroid issues, blood clotting disorders, etc earlier rather than after multiple miscarriages.

Re: Carissa & Brian
Ya I figured they would’ve discovered this long ago. Especially doing treatments

Re: Carissa & Brian
Yes they should have done the full work up when they started at a fertility clinic. At mine, they run all these tests even before coming up with a plan. Not that it’s Carissa’s fault, but her doctor sure did drop the ball. I feel for them. I hope they get answers.

Re: Carissa & Brian
Does anyone think it's possible Carissa might have Bipolar? It seems she is really happy and optimistic one day and then breaking down crying the next. Her emotions seem all over the place and she's doesn't really seem stable in my opinion.

I don’t think that’s quite how bipolar disorder works.No_Sugarcoating11 wrote:Does anyone think it's possible Carissa might have Bipolar? I do agree though that she’s definitely got some mental health issues going on. She needs counselling if she’s not already going.

That is not the way bipolar disorder "works."No_Sugarcoating11 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 21, 2019 1:05 pm Does anyone think it's possible Carissa might have Bipolar? Re: Carissa & Brian
She goes through these huge rants and tangents on Instagram and I honestly think she is not mentally well.
She seems like a sweet girl and Brian also seems to have a good heart, but the way they've handled everything and all of these excessive instagram tantrums that I read from Carissa, I think it'd be best if they went to seek therapy tbh.

I like Carissa and Brian, and hope that they can expand their family, but some of Carissa's IG stories have left a bad taste in my mouth.

Yes, what was the “Brian has never beat me” talk???MollyAnneDenver wrote:SOOOO .... Her newest video..... I have had a miscarriage so I know somewhat what she is talking about and her hurt BUT if in a small video she shows that much crazy I would not want to live around her....

I feel bad for Carissa. She doesn’t work, right? She needs a distraction from obsessing about having a baby. I mean, I get it, infertility is hard. But you HAVE to function in life while going through it. She turns into a puddle whenever she talks about it. I don’t dislike her and I wish her the best, but I wish she would get into yoga or meditation or something to help her chill out a bit.

Re: Carissa & Brian
I didn't know she doesn't have a job... What does she do all day? Perhaps that's why I see her have a gazillion instagram posts because she literally has nothing to do but think about getting pregnant and post on Instagram...Goodgirl wrote:Yes, what was the “Brian has never beat me” talk???MollyAnneDenver wrote:SOOOO .... Re: Carissa & Brian
She does freelance work doing eyelash extentions - it is little work at best.
I do not dislike her at all - but she needs something to chill her out. I dealt with infertility and miscarriage - it is hard as heck! BUT you need to live your life - She is taking a pregnancy test on Sunday which I am sure will be negative - I hope it is positive

The DIY IUI was not only unsanitary, but just... Disturbing and gross to yak on about. I honestly think Carissa is not mentally well. She seems just bonkers.

Re: Carissa & Brian
I know this isn't a super active thread, but does it seem to anyone else like carissas husband is SO over her? Like when she started to cry and said to him "I just want you to be a dad" and he kinda threw his head back and sighed. Almost like "oh for the love of God. Make it stop!" and when she was hiding from him in the closet when he came home? I think it was in her stories, he found her and was not even remotely entertained. He looked so pissed and annoyed. I totally get infertility is hard, and hard on a marriage, but I get the impression this is killing them. And damn, she cries.....A LOT!

Re: Carissa & Brian
Oh he’s 100000% over her. I don’t blame him. Yes infertility and miscarriages suck but she has taken it to another level. She needs therapy, not fertility treatments.
He’s so emotionally drained from her. Imagine how frequently he finds her sobbing. Probably daily. That would be exhausting to be around.

Also, i get infertility. We’re dealing with it too. Except ... i never once called my husband at work and told him i was spotting. I’d text or wait for him to come home.
