8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
What could Chad have even done that was so bad? Stayed up past 9:00 p.m. on his flip phone? Jesus Christ Ruby with the drama.

I just feel like a lot their growing pains are being broadcasted on the Internet. I know she doesn’t film every little event but I feel like her kids don’t have as much privacy as they should. I’m glad she didn’t share the audio of her talking to Chad but still sort of annoyed that she filmed it. Like we didn’t have to know who it was. I don’t think Ruby is a bad mom, I just disagree with some of the moments that she puts in the vlogs, I feel like the kiddos deserve more privacy.
Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Here’s the difference. We live in the real world, they live in the Utah/Happy Valley bubble where everything is awesome and wonderful, and nothing bad ever happens. That’s what happens when people grow up in that kind of environment their entire lives—they think they’re impervious to life’s not-so-pleasantries. That’s why when they wander into the real world (major cities, new countries), they’re culture shocked. People like Ruby and every other Mormon Youtuber prefer to stay in their bubble in the safety of all white, all republican, all homogenous Utah. (Obviously SLC tends to lean left, and Utah has polys and Hispanics mixed in, but Utah is still predominantly white, stop typing your reply.Sweetiebee wrote:The entire family is pretty naive. Sometimes it's endearing, other times it is insane. Like letting Eve go missing in every single store they go to. My kids know that when they hear the police helicopters at night, they lock the doors because someone is running loose looking for a place to hide.mmarier wrote:Why does she have Eve running around in the front yard in just a leotard with the police and a suspect lurking around. Ruby’s an idiot. She thinks she’s immune to gunfire and the craziness of the world.

I knew Melissa and Clean my space, way before I started watching 8 passengers. Business-wise, it is really good that Ruby mentioned those cloths, like, the entire video, and even told that it is not sponsored...FakingIt_MakingIt wrote:Clean my space (Melissa) just gave a shout out to ruby on instagram... dang. I used to like cms hah
I don't mind Melissa doing the shout-out because I like her and I bet it will help her more than it does 8 passengers...

I don’t understand why jhouse vlogs associates with them. They are SO careful about making sure their children don’t grow up to be the entitled brats hat Ruby’s kids are. They never embarrass the kids, going so far as saying things like “well one of our kids had a rough day so we’re going home instead of doing X” when one of their activities is cut short. No on camera discipline. They actually spend quality time with their kids and the husband does all the editing a lot of the parenting plus he’s a lawyer! The mom homeschools all of them using proven educational methods. All her kids are YEARS ahead of Ruby’s kids developmentally and academically. Even though they are Mormon they are interested in learning and exposing themselves to different cultures without the same preachiness you see in 8 passengers.
Should be a wake up call for Ruby that you don’t have to sell your soul.

What is with Russell's tendency to have "freak out" reactions to things (whether something positive or negative)? Like in today's vlog when he started screaming and jumping on the couch when he realized J House was coming over. It shows that they don't ever try to reign him in when he acts like that, because he obviously doesn't see anything inappropriate about it. I have a niece who will be the same age as him in a couple of months and she's never had that kind of reaction to anything.

He’s been doing that for years.ctx2002 wrote:What is with Russell's tendency to have "freak out" reactions to things (whether something positive or negative)? They haven’t really addressed it other than Ruby making some really uneducated statements that he can’t possibly have autism (lots of commenters were saying he has autistic behaviors) because he wasn’t afraid to talk to a construction worker. He very clearly has problems regulating his emotions and they are not addressing it. For some reason this family takes their kids to the dentist every 5 minutes (I think Ruby has a crush on the dentist) but they can’t bother to take them for regular physicals or discuss their obvious issues with their doctors.
Could be a medical reason, could be a cry for attention.

Even though I prefer J house we must not forget how they're making a living and how some of their thumbnails used to look like. I think that they are as fame hungry as the Griffith's but smarter about it. They are also nicer, more likable, they give back to those in need and also teach their kids about life. But mostly seem to be the same people who've grown but not changed for the worse so I don't believe that Youtube changes people it just brings out the real person, like in Bonnie's case.sasperillo wrote:I don’t understand why jhouse vlogs associates with them. Yeah I don’t agree with the exploitation of kids on YouTube but I think that they’re doing it in a WAY better way than anyone else. I don’t follow Bonnie, what has vlogging brought out? The only thing I saw was that horrible vlog about piercing Olivia’s ears, which made me never want to watch her again.Namm wrote:Even though I prefer J house we must not forget how they're making a living and how some of their thumbnails used to look like. Bonnie sold herself as a sweet hard working stay at home wife. A fun loving mum, helpful sister and a grateful Youtber and everyone loved her but she has come out as the opposite to all of that.sasperillo wrote:Yeah I don’t agree with the exploitation of kids on YouTube but I think that they’re doing it in a WAY better way than anyone else. Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
a random vid of theirs from two years ago popped up in my recommended, and I was shocked at how russell was exactly the same as he is now, spoke in the same manner, got overly excited over something small, was emotional over other things... it was crazy, it's like his emotional growth is stunted, to see no progress in two years with a child that young is crazy, kids around that age grow up so fast and are constantly changing, russell still acts like his four year old self.ctx2002 wrote:What is with Russell's tendency to have "freak out" reactions to things (whether something positive or negative)? If you don't follow Bonnie I definitely suggest that you NOT start following her now. Lol you are so right about the dentist! But the middle girls skipped welll visits and shots for a few years. Probably also has something to do with the fact that the dentist (in her mind) is all about improving appearances. The dentist also hooked her up with free Invisalign.sasperillo wrote:He’s been doing that for years.ctx2002 wrote:What is with Russell's tendency to have "freak out" reactions to things (whether something positive or negative)? If I would be Julie and Eve would have taken out all my stuff and thrown on the bed, I would be super mad. I know, they share a room but in my opinion there should be some respect regarding the other ones property.

I still don't understand why julie has to share a room with eve, and is chad sharing a room with russell? I can't keep up, either way I feel so sorry for the older ones having to share, poor shari spent a good number of years being a teen and sharing with a toddler, god that was awful... I hate that they have the money to move/renovate the house in order to have one more bedroom but refuse to.Acaena wrote:If I would be Julie and Eve would have taken out all my stuff and thrown on the bed, I would be super mad. Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Because Julie and Eve are the two younger girls. And yes, Chad is sharing with Russell. The house is pretty small for having six kids, but I actually respect that they decided they didn't need a bigger one, because the older kids would start to move out in a couple of years. Way more down to earth then building a huge mansion after a short time of YT fame.kates_crush wrote:I still don't understand why julie has to share a room with eve, and is chad sharing a room with russell? Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
She could have at least said, “When you’re done playing, you need to put back all of Julie’s clothes.” She just laughed and thought it was cute and creative. If Eve is given a few more doll accessories it may not happen. again but idk. There’s a huge debate in the comments about whether Julie had to put the clothes back instead of Eve.Acaena wrote:If I would be Julie and Eve would have taken out all my stuff and thrown on the bed, I would be super mad. Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
Julie was mad and stormed off, then the scene was cut short. Ruby thought it was cute, but I guarantee if it were Ruby's precious clothes thrown on the bed like that, all hell would break loose.Acaena wrote:If I would be Julie and Eve would have taken out all my stuff and thrown on the bed, I would be super mad. Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
They were shopping for land a while back, and even vlogged it and took the kids to see it, telling them that their new home was going to be there. Then apparently, they didn't get approved for the loan. I don't know why. Soon after, Ruby "accidentally" burned that pot of beans, and they got a new kitchen courtesy of the insurance company.LilaRose wrote:Because Julie and Eve are the two younger girls. So it's not just humility keeping them in that house.

Re: 8 Passengers: No Rules & Private Schools | Part 9
it makes no sense to keep a five year old and a soon to be 10 year old in the same room with julie and abby are closer in age (and just closer in general) idk I never grew up with a bunch of brothers and sisters, but honestly, with the amount of subs they have, I'm sure they can afford a house with one extra bedroom, I'm not talking a mansion. I just always feel bad for kids in big families that have to share rooms and never have their own space.LilaRose wrote:Because Julie and Eve are the two younger girls.
