Brittani Boren Leach: Christmas Decor, Unsafe Sleep Galore | Part 8
Re: Brittani Boren Leach: Christmas Decor, Unsafe Sleep Galore | Part 8
So I've been learking on this page since Crew died. I've always been like "she's not doing this for money" but after reading comments and now seeing a lot of the shit she has posted since the birth of Cole I'm honestly pissed.
Firstly when Crew died I fucking grieved for that baby and for her HARD! It hit me like a ton of bricks because my son is exactly a month younger than Crew. My post partum anxiety spiked! I couldn't sleep without worrying that something might happen to my baby. It got so bad I had to get help. I'm pissed that she hasn't taken the time to properly grieve for her son, I'm pissed that she has this victim card still playing when people give her advice, I'm pissed that she only responds to any negative comment and never positive, I'm pissed that she is not advocating more for Sids. I could go on and on. Everyone is entitled to grieve the way they want, but she is a public figure (apparently so famous that even the chick filet person knows she's a good mom) she has to grieve how the public wants her to and if she can't then she has no business being on social media. It's reckless to get knocked up so close after she barried her son. It's reckless that she didn't care how her other children were going to process a new baby and it's reckless to compare her new precious baby to her child she was so careless with. When ever she gets called out she goes on the defense and then quickly turns the card back over. " Oh poor me remember I lost my son." "Look at Crews stocking." Disgusting! I don't care about a fucking pandemic go get some professional help! She has a family she has to help process the grief too it's not just her. The fact is she knows what she's doing and pretends she's so innocent. I smell narcissistic behavior all over this. Remember poor her she lost her son. She knew posting that damn picture with the baby in the crib was going to start drama! She feeds off the attention! Again I grieved that baby and I still do. I know I can't be the only one that this story hit hard and she should be advocating and using her platform to inform mom's on best sleeping practice instead of making a commission off fucking bracelets, diaper bags, razors and groceries. This is her life but she chose to share it with world.

If it wasn't SIDS are there not laws in the US where she would get in trouble? Genuine question. I also find it very weird she's never discussed the cause of death. I always just thought she was not in a place yet to talk about it (even though she's commodified Crew's death to the fullest extent). I just assumed if it was something else than she would have gotten in trouble, at least child endangerment or negligence.penny17 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 1:31 pm Definitely she is extremely defensive and that comment was in no way rude. Also she said it wasn't about that comment it was about the comments under it... then post the ones you had a problem with not someone who was obviously just being kind.
If social media and other peoples opinions offend you so much gtfo social media.
Also i find it extremely odd if this was truly a sids case with crew why she actually hasnt talked very much about it. No one really knows except the people involved but it was all sooo odd back then and leaves it up to so much speculation. And so for me personally i tend to believe the rumors and hearsay because she hasnt addressed it herself. Now being defensive about people who are genuinely worried and just trying to help... and being on social media it comes with the territory. People are going to always voice their opinions. She is just so off putting it's unbelievable. And i have tried so much to give her benefit of the doubt but she shows her true colors more often than not.

It could have been investigated and deemed an accidental death.. they also seem to throw around SIDS a lot with infant deaths where the cause of death is not obvious.holy_fuuc wrote:If it wasn't SIDS are there not laws in the US where she would get in trouble? Re: Brittani Boren Leach: Christmas Decor, Unsafe Sleep Galore | Part 8
Crew didn’t die from SIDS he died from suffocation or falling off the bed or in between a mattress and headboard. If he died of SIDS 1000% this women would go so hard to advocate SIDS awareness and safe sleeping she milked that babies death for everything she could she went on and on about organ donation and blood donation but absolutely nothing about SIDS? Because he didn’t die from SIDS he died from her carelessness and unsafe sleeping conditions and for someone reason she continues to put new baby in unsafe sleeping conditions IF crew did die from SIDS she should be SOOO careful but she’s not and I have no idea why this mother would have her newborn sleeping that way she does after losing a child to unsafe sleeping conditions 10 months ago...I would love to call her out unfortunately too many friends I am close with follow her and I don’t want to come off as a B
Re: Brittani Boren Leach: Christmas Decor, Unsafe Sleep Galore | Part 8
Even if Crew died from unsafe sleep (which I wouldn't doubt), it's very likely it would still get classified as SIDS. I'm not saying it's right, but it happens all the time. You always see warnings that say things like "safe sleep greatly reduces the risk of SIDS".
Re: Brittani Boren Leach: Christmas Decor, Unsafe Sleep Galore | Part 8
So sids doesn’t mean baby dies from an unsafe sleep situation? Then why is safe sleep advocated for in sids cases? Sorry I’m so confused...
Re: Brittani Boren Leach: Christmas Decor, Unsafe Sleep Galore | Part 8
I'm no expert, but from what I understand there is no 'one' cause of SIDS and it's often just slapped on a death certificate when there are no other explanations found in an autopsy. Unsafe sleep accounts for many, many SIDS deaths, but I'm pretty sure babies can die from SIDS even if they're sleeping in a completely safe environment as well.
Re: Brittani Boren Leach: Christmas Decor, Unsafe Sleep Galore | Part 8
I doubt he’s sleeping in a SNOO, don’t they come with a built in swaddle type thing? She’s shown him in the arms up swaddle. She’s most likely still bed sharing, but with an owlet so she feels It’s safer. I really worry for that baby. I’m part of a safe sleep group on Facebook and some of the stories are just awful but I’m glad they share because it reminds me that it could happen to anybody. Maybe with time she’ll open up about it, has to suck to keep this huge secret (maybe that’s wishful thinking)

Re: Brittani Boren Leach: Christmas Decor, Unsafe Sleep Galore | Part 8
The way I understand SIDS is that it happens when the baby simply stop breathing in their sleep, for no apparent reason (my literal worst nightmare btw, being a first time mom to an 8 week old precious little boy). It is most likely to happen in the first 6 months of life and experts aren’t sure why it happens. If the reason is suffocation (getting stuck between something in the bed etc) then there is an obvious cause of death, not SIDS. This woman is trying to make it seem like crew just died for no obvious reason- even though he most definitely got stuck and suffocated.
Imagine being careless and dumb enough to put your 3 month old to sleep in an adult bed, causing his death and then earning $120k from it - i just can’t wrap my head around how fucked up that is.

She panned across the Christmas stockings and it broke my heart... not because she showed Crew’s but because Sydney’s stocking doesn’t match at ALL.

BINGO. That's what leads me to believe Crew didn't die of SIDS. She is responsbile and you'll never change my mind. She is a negligent parent. It took comments here to get her to put helmets on her kids when they were using their scooters. She sucks as a parent and the reason she became defensive from that comment is bc she knows she is responsbile for Crew's death. Hope you're reading this Brittani. You suck as a parent.RiverRose wrote: ↑Wed Nov 18, 2020 3:02 pm I follow a woman on instagram who lost her baby at 7 months to SIDS. She not only admits that she did not follow safe sleep precautions closely enough, but she uses EVERY opportunity she gets to talk about it. She says all the time that the only ray of light that comes from the death of her child is that she is able to teach as many people as she can about safe sleep. She uses the platform she gained from the death of her baby to educate.
Brittani not only refuses speak about it, but she bitches out anybody who brings it up.

Oh please. That Chick Fil employee (“YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE” did not hand her her food for free and tell her she was a good mom just because someone gave her constructive (“mean”) criticism on IG

AND.......Here we go!!! Her story this morning is captioned "so thankful to wake up with him". In HER bed. Loose sheets everywhere. Is she actually trying to be this obnxious or is she really that stupid/careless/self righteous. I seriously cant stand her!!!!1 Such a negligent shitty human. hopefully she gets many mean/ lifesaving pieces of advice today.Poor Cole.

Yep. Yet again it looks like she’s co sleeping. She could have been feeding him in her bed though & then she’s changing him, but why is she hiding wherever he is supposedly sleeping?? I had sweet nurseries for all of my babies, but each time I had a set up in my room with a bassinet & changing station.Sharphole2000 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 7:53 am AND.......Here we go!!! Also, she might’ve finally put helmets on her boys, but she NEVER does them up properly and omg it angers me so much. They hang so loose on the boys’ heads that they’re literally useless

But guyyyyyssss - he’s wearing the Owlet so clearly she’s the best mother who ever mothered.
Speaking of mothers, I wonder if they intend to go to her mom and ex’s place again for Christmas this year? Since they moved from their old house after Crew died...

I think the US is moving toward calling deaths like Crews SUIDS (which can be true SIDS or could also be suffocation due to unsafe sleeping). https://www.cdc.gov/sids/about/index.ht ... ndSIDS.htm

Yes, that's a great explanation! Sudden unexpected infant death (SUID) is a term used to describe the sudden and unexpected death of a baby less than 1 year old in which the cause was not obvious before investigation. My understanding is that many of the deaths that were "unexplained" years ago are now understood to be largely suffocation related, because numbers went down dramatically once guidelines shifted to preventing suffocation during sleep (baby on back, in a bassinet, without pillows or blankets, etc.). Think about the logistical nightmare of launching an investigation. A grieving family that doesn't want to be told that their infant suffocated to death due to an unsafe sleep environment. No witnesses. The scene is usually disturbed in the pandemonium of finding your child not breathing. There really isn't a uniform investigation process or reporting mechanism from state to state, so these cases usually aren't investigated beyond asking the family some routine questions.littlebit wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 11:45 am I think the US is moving toward calling deaths like Crews SUIDS (which can be true SIDS or could also be suffocation due to unsafe sleeping). https://www.cdc.gov/sids/about/index.ht ... ndSIDS.htm

I agree that the SNOO story seems suspect. I read Dr. Harvey Karp's book, and it is very clear on safe sleep. Large portions of Happiest Baby on the Block are dedicated to explaining the risk factors and how to create a safe sleep environment. I don't know if his company is big on influencer marketing, but we know how much Brittani loves a brand deal and I would think this would be a great partnership for them. I'm thinking either her use of the SNOO is greatly exaggerated, or she reached out to try to get a partnership and was shot down, maybe because their marketing team does their homework and didn't want to be associated with her, so she doesn't show it out of spite. You'd think the swipe up potential alone would be too good for her to NOT show him in it if she really had one.
It's very telling that she's so combative and nasty to a commenter trying to say something in the nicest way possible. Including the person's user name was a low blow when she could have easier covered it up and prevented her sycophants from coming for this woman. She was clearly a fan, and Brittani humiliated her and called her out in a big way. As a mother your heart goes out to anyone who has to go through the loss of a child, but I agree that she shows her true colors over and over again. You just can't help but get a bad feeling from her. Her online presences is so sleazy.
