If you paid attention on the last board I said I wouldn't get rid of the cat, but she does seem to always be buying her dogs and cats toys and treats. They don't need them all the time. My family does not spend so much on our pets...We buy them food when they need it but their toys mostly consist of socks we lose or my old plush toys. We only buy them new toys or treats if its like their birthday or a holiday. If you have such problems with me then ignore me. It's not that hard...I speak from what I see.

It was part of my job, then lots of friends close to me became single moms and I wanted to be more knowledgeable, I think that pregnancy, motherhood, childhood developement are complicated, fascinating topics and for everyone's interest.

Interest vrs obsession. You have only made 188 post in a reasonable amount of time, do you not see the difference between the two. Show some interest sure but she has been joined for about 5 months and is averaging almost 30 post's per day. Sorry but thats obsessive for somebody who is not even a mother. I have never come on this site & not seen recent comments. I go weeks without noticing most people.

I don't only go on this part of the site, I go on the nothing about gurus part&MeghanHeartsMakeup and post there as well. Lately I haven't been coming on as much. In the beginning I did not because I was obsessed with the moms, but the site was interesting. I barely watch the videos anymore because half the moms have gotten so annoying, it's pointless. I'm not going to apologize for it and I certainly don't want to argue over it. If you have a problem with what I say or how much I post, put me on your foe list. You won't see what I say and you won't be bothered by it. I will apologize if I offended anyone, as it was not my intention. I said the cat thing off expietence, I've had several pets throughout my life, I've never had to pay for them but I have watched my mom budget them. The end.

As for the cat issue, she really needs to be careful with that. Cat scratches can get really serious and especially on a little baby. I don't see how she wouldn't want to discipline the cat at all. Then again, she does a lot of things that scare the living shit out of me. There really should be a class and test and some sort of certification before ANYONE is allowed to have children. Hypothetically speaking, I know that would be impossible to actually do. ...Sadly.

Although, to be honest, when I write a post, I rewrite War and Peace. She writes posts of reasonable-normal length.

I really haven't followed this thread, I rarely watch Candidmommy (I like her by instinct, I just never find the occasion to keep up with her vlogs).. I don't understand what are the "american ways of life", just curious. Which part of her lifestyle would be considered that?

No, I mean I was just curious.. I'm a non-american, if we want to put it like that... I can't guess what's the sereotype of americans though (besides the image of high-schools and colleges.. and fast food maybe? But we have fast food as well --maybe just not so many options).

Let pets in the home?? To me it's barbaric to leave a dog exclusively outside if it's cold. I've always lived in apartments, so I never had a huge dog or a huge house, but my animals have always had free access to everything. It's not uncommon.
Who kicks the cat out of the bed? ahahahah You just don't do that, and don't pretend that you have any sort of power over your kitty!!

Eat meals out.. well, I don't like to eat out, but mostly it's a money thing. Plus, I don't like going to restaurants. If it's a pizza night out with girlfriends it's great, but every now and again.

Waste water.. maybe because people have pools in the front-yard or have a big garden? I don't know the ratio quantity/price for tap water, so maybe because it's cheaper? IDK..I hope that people don't think it's ok to stop washing themselves to preserve water!

Dirty home... crickey, I'm not a germaphobe..I thought Americans were considered the neat-freaks!

I don't feel anyone has been hating on Americans.We can learn alot from eachother and about ways of life in other countries.America is not the be all and end all of the universe.
No one thinks its a HUGE deal about the cat.I know I am being sarcastic at the same time pointing out.Kids come first.All animals have different temperments.Cat nor child to blame.Mommy keep closer watch!I have seen loving animals harm children and the parents kick themselves for not being more proactive.

Okay so let me start by saying I agree with Junepher that sometimes people who are NOT american on this thread are very opinionated about our "american ways of life". I have NEVER seen anybody criticizing any other countries, just America because thats where most mom vloggers are from I guesss. I gets old after awhile.

What I agree with even more Junepher is why the heck is a 17 year old girl so obsessed with the YT motherhood community. Why would a 17 year old care what groceries this lady buys. Its crazy how often you post,why are you not out with friends? When I was a senior in high school the last thing I would care about is an Internet forum about the boring aspects of motherhood. What really gets me is you are NOT a mother, homemaker or provider. Yet you still have 2,962 snotty & nitpicky opinions. I am sure I speak for than just myself that EVERY time I come to this site and see the boards covered in Taylorknows I cringe.

As a young wife who is not yet a mother I partially agree, I was young and watching mom vlogs too I was interested in them.. odd to others but everybody has their own thing, I was also on sites but not posting on mom topics/boards giving my opinions on things the way she does, she is very ummm

I do have friends, I want to point that out but yeah I don't hang out with them because I do feel we are at two different maturity levels. They're great to talk to and hang out with when I want to have fun, but when I want to discuss serious issues or talk about more adult topics, not many are interested. I have only one and she does not live in my state so I can't just go see her whenever. I did not realize how nit picky I sounded or how I sounded much worse than anyone else on here with their opinions, I guess that is something I'll have to work on since many pointed it out. And I'm sorry if there are times I come off as bossy or act like I'm running things, that is something I've been trying to work on for awhile. I only was saying to put me on your foe list because that's just what I do if someone contiguously is annoying me or getting on my nerves.

In the end, I didn't realize my comment about the cats&dogs would go this far...if I had I probably wouldn't have said it. I didn't mean to offend anyone by my comment or by anything I've said on here, so once again if I did, I apologize.

Now listen up, because I'm going to say this once.

I have never made a negative remark about Americans except for the comments on your gun laws. Which I still stand behind. And no, I'm not going to be drawn into another debate. I studied a form of anthropology as a minor at university and, although I did not go on to work in that field, I retain my fascination for it. So I ask questions, I compare...I find it interesting. I live on a big island at the bottom of the world and we are quite isolated. Which I like, but it is still fascinating to find out how the other half live.

Junepher is constantly implying that every nitpick I make on this site is a racial slur and that is simply not the case. I said that Courtney's house was filthy, no one else's. I believe, it was actually an American who made the comment about Americans having lower standards and I was quick to distance myself from that stance.

As for my age, since she is so fascinated by it, I'll tell you openly I am 35, nearly 36. Big deal. Nowhere near menopause, i get out to the gym everyday where I take classes alongside 20 year olds and can out run them. i lead a very happy, healthy life with my family and am at complete ease with growing older. It'll happen to you one day too Junepher so I wouldn't rest on your laurels so smugly if I were you.

As for being a snob, I'm not the one judging who is too old or too young to post here. That's entirely you junepher, and I would call that snobby.

I have also grown up with pets all my life, pets who knew their place and were trained to behave. So don't go jumping to the conclusion that I am also an animal hater. It couldn't be less true. I had a beautiful old cattle dog who died last year of old age and I miss him like you wouldn't believe.

As for being bitchy and judgemental, well I'll let junepher's comments from last night speak for themselves. I cant help it if my comments strike a chord with junepher, perhaps she is a bit defensive and sensitive.

I like Taylor, for a 17 year old, she has incredible maturity and accepts that, although I may not always agree with her, we can accept each other's differences and move on. Great, that's why I'm here, to have a laugh and a chat, sometimes a good, healthy debate. I'd rather talk to her than junepher anyday.

I think alot of of you are missing the point. Let me say this one last thing & lets get back to topic. First off when I disagree with things said by Goose or anybody else on this thread I turn my cheek or agree to disagree because its obvious on this site peoples opinions will differ.

Some of us agree & some disagree. A few people think its strange a 17 year old girl spends so much time everyday on a aite about motherhood. I would NEVER let my daughter be online speaking with strangers so much & would be a concerned mother if my daughter spent so much time interested in motherhood. If you would be okay with your child doing so then well thats not my parenting style. When I was 17 I had a Job, played sports & went to school & my internet time was closely monitored. The end!

Autumnlane, it's nice that you're concerned about Taylor's well being. As for me, with regards to my daughter, I'd be much more concerned about Facebook and twitter than a dinky little forum. Taylor is not my daughter so I'll leave the worrying for her mother to do.

And I agree, we have butted heads on a few occasions but we've agreed on some things too. It's all good.
