Ha i wanted to say boobs so bad but didn't wanna be weird lmao. Yes boobs were a must have for my son. Sometimes it sucks though because he refuses a Binky and doesn't thumb suck so all he ever wants to be comforted by is boob :/Chevbowlyn wrote:My must-haves are:
BOOBIES!!!
Swaddling blanket, bassinet unless you want to bed-share for easier access to BOOBIES!!, woven wrap, cloth diapers(bumGenius and AppleCheeks are my favorite), and a good car seat that will last rf the longest.

Re: Mommy must haves!
My must haves are for my daughter:
1) Medela freestyle double breast pump
2) the Johnson and Johnson breast pads. They are softer and thicker compared to any others out there
3) the mothers milk tea from well.ca I ordered mine off there.
4) the aveeno vanilla lavender body wash only one I could use
5)nuk breast feeding bottles
6)wrap/carrier
7)swaddle blankets
For my son
1) it was a swing. One of those big swings that can soothe the baby to sleep they cost well over 100-150 bucks.
2) myself hahahha
3)playtex air vent bottles
Both kids
1)my bed
My son was such a low maintenance baby. He was sleeping through he nights right from birth. My daughter was such high maintenance I'm not sure if it was because of her health issue or have it (because every baby is different). But brother and sister are day and night.

1. Lanolin Cream - Use it as soon as you start breastfeeding no joke and after every feeding!
2. NUK bottles - only kind my little one would take because all other bottle nipples choked him and they have a tiny nipple (weird shape though)
3. Bouncy Chair
4. Baby Carrier - heard amazing things about the ergo, I only used a safety first one but still loved it. Especially for shopping, if I put the carseat in the cart I couldn't see over top and if I put it in the basket part I had no room for food.
5. Receiving blankets - I had about 30, my son had acid reflux and puked a lot all the time so these were a life saver. I had others too that I would swaddle him in.
6. Bottle Warmer - he got bad gas any time bottle was cold so I just warmed it to room temp.
7. Fisher Price Ocean wonders aquarium - It plays for 20 minutes has sooo many different options and even comes with a remote so if you hear them fuss again you just push the button to turn it on or to turn it off.
Change table is an absolute waste of money in my opinion. I just bought a few waterproof changing mats and then I could change him where ever I was. Not to mention you can't really use a change table after there done diapers. If you're unsure of buying one or not I'd just get a contoured changing mat and put it on top of your dresser you have for baby. Thats what I did because mine was at perfect height for changing and long enough too. Turns out never used that so I'm glad I only wasted $30 instead of over $100.

Some people swear by swaddling but actually not all babies like it. I also stopped swaddling after a couple of weeks. Not my thing.
A co sleeper or a rock n play. Loved our rock n play.
A bouncer. Does't have to be fancy but it is A MUST.
Gerber cloth diapers the white plain things. Use as burp rags. You can never have enough for spiddle and well, motherhood is messy.
Baby swing. Get something fun with music and all the bells and whistels.
Two of my girls like a paci. The other never took to it. We use the Mam. It does not interfere with bf. Get a couple different brands to try.
Moby wrap for the early months.
ONESIES!

Re: Mommy must haves!
Most everything has been mentioned already but the Rock N Play sleeper is awesome and a really really good chair for nursing. I had a recliner for my first time but I am going to retire it and get a glider for the one on the way. I hated the lansinoh brand lanolin but loves the medela, the Lansinoh was thick and so hard to wipe of my fingers but the Medela was smoother and a single wipe with a wet wipe got it off of my fingers. I felt like the Medela worked better and faster too. Those microwave sterilizer bags were awesome for cleaning pump parts and pacifiers, I didn't buy them at first and was putting them in the veggie steamer basket thing on top of a pot of boiling water. Yeah, big mistake, the baby distracted me and all of the water boiled out and messed up my nice big pot. I should of spent the $5 for the bags from the get go.

A glider all the way!
And anything buy Medela is awesome
Oh yeah
The Mustela wipes for baby faces is awesome! Nice and sensitive to use when they start eating. Great to leave in your purse and at home. I buy them ALL the time. I also buy Mustela bum wipes. I love Mustela wipes.

You can't nurse in the rock n play. It is a sleeper for baby. What are you talking about? Or has it been that long for Floss? 2 yrs.
