I barely remember coming in here lol. Yesterday was a day for the books for me. I'm pretty stressed, but seeing posts like mine hiding around random pages has me giggling.

Re: Off Topic Banter Part 8
I just finished a movie called "Short Term 12", it's on Netflix. It's about a group home for "at-risk" youth, and it really hit me hard because I am in college majoring in Counseling in hopes to be an adolescent/young adult therapist, and that movie really reminded me why I want to spend my whole life helping people and offering them a hand when no one else ever would. I guess I am just really excited at my future right now haha

In case anyone cared, I got that whole form thing resolved and was worried sick over nothing. But you see, that's the thing about generalized anxiety disorder... There doesn't have to be any rhyme or reason to it. Anxiety sucks. I hope none of you suffer from it.

Re: Off Topic Banter Part 8
Lol darn, kinda disappointed I missed the whole Liz thing.
Things like this remind me of when my little sister was in middle school, all the girls at her school created fake profiles of boys they claimed were their boyfriend, lol! They even went so far as to add a bunch of random people and comment on their stuff.
Weird, huh. Lol

I get it, in that sense. I suffer from anxiety. A few nights ago I was freaking out over something small and my mom was just like "What is wrong with you? Calm down." And it's something no one understands until you're going through it. It's another reason why I was like "Wtf, what her boyfriend did isn't right" because if I were freaking out like that, it would only cause my anxiety to get even worse. So I get it, even if it didn't seem it. I'm glad it all worked out for you and that you're getting the help you need.AnonymousSource wrote:In case anyone cared, I got that whole form thing resolved and was worried sick over nothing. Re: Off Topic Banter Part 8
first time posting un this thread - I think - but I had a friend in high school who created a fake boyfriend: fake hotmail account, pictures from google, invented conversations, etc lol We all knew she was faking it but no one said anything.
Excuse my english. Spanish is my first language

I suffer from it and have been on meds for it since I was 12 and I'm 19 now. It sucks and it has ruined friendships for me in the past, so I totally get it. I am glad that it was resolved though, I know how terrifying and awful it is. If you ever need to talk, always feel free to PM me and I will help to try and calm you down and listen to whatever you say without judging. I know how irrational anxiety causes people to be. But you got through this incident okay and that's all that mattersAnonymousSource wrote:In case anyone cared, I got that whole form thing resolved and was worried sick over nothing. Re: Off Topic Banter Part 8
Thank you. Yeah, it really is something people don't understand unless they go through it. And I know what my boyfriend did wasn't right. He apologized for it. And I did write that whole spiel 3 nights after it happened, so I had time to calm down about what he did and said, which was why I was able to defend him. Of course it made my anxiety worse, but at the same time, if I stepped into his shoes, I totally understood why he did what he did. So I'm able to forgive him and move on.TaylorKnows wrote:I get it, in that sense. I suffer from anxiety. And ugh at people telling you to just calm down. Damnit, we really wish we could, right?

Re: Off Topic Banter Part 8
Of course, I get that. You happened to post this around the same time I was having those issues with my mom, so maybe this came from that...anyway, I'm glad you two were able to move past it.AnonymousSource wrote: Thank you. And I know. I tell people who tell me to calm down or that it's a choice that if I did have a choice...I wouldn't choose this.
Re: Off Topic Banter Part 8
Anon, I'm glad it's all sorted.
Regarding your passive aggressive statements about people not understanding anxiety, you're right. I don't. I worry about stuff sometimes like we all do but not to the point you did the other day. That's not what got to me. It was more the fact that you tore strips off me for not understanding. A little bit of understanding from you might be warranted. We can't all be expected to understand the ins and outs of your illness. Ease up.

Re: Off Topic Banter Part 8
And a little bit of understanding from you during my stressful time wouldn't have hurt. I was clearly understandably upset and irrational and therefore incapable of understanding why you couldn't understand. Instead of being understanding and kind, you decided to write a novel tearing me down as a person and moderator. Then said this site made you scared or something along those lines for promoting me and said you'd hold your tongue from what you REALLY wanted to say..thegooseiscooked wrote:Anon, I'm glad it's all sorted.

Re: Off Topic Banter Part 8
Just a heads up. A lot of you said you wanted to spoil whatsername's baby and Flossy and I finally convinced us to let her. There was a YTMD "baby shower" thread and off-topic but we had Yue password protect it so there is no temptation for Whatsername to peek. It is not like the Allyshia scenario, anyone can have the password if they ask but it would be better if you PM me or Flossy instead of bugging the mods. The only one who can't have the password is the mama to be. Yue couldn't password protect the individual thread so she moved it to the Saccone Joly thread since it's inactive here in favor of the very active one on GG. When she moved it the title changed, but part 39 is the baby shower thread of you have ideas, want to pitch in, or send something.

I did try to be understanding. I asked you what we could say that would make it better. I tried to calm you down by pointing out the facts. And what I said ended up being true, didn't it? You were just throwing daggers at me, its normal for me to get a little defensive.
This site does worry me. I stand by those comments. It's not sour grapes because I don't want to be a mod. I don't think that you're in a good enough place emotionally or mentally to be judging what other people say and having the power to dole out punishments at whim. I think your illness definitely clouds your judgement.
