I don't know about Missy but it seems Bryan probably grew up poor, and likely without many material objects. It makes sense that he might want to spread the joy of having toys that he feels he missed out on. Maybe they also think that a lack of parenting or genuine connection can be made up by showering him with gifts.

Both are shitty examples of reasoning and parenting, but I think they may explain it. Plus, they've dug themselves into a hole where Ollie constantly expects new things, and they don't know how to deal with his tantrums

I grew up dirt poor. When I say poor we had 6 kids in a 2 bedroom house all 6 kids in one room.. We had a toilet that my mom had to flush by a plunger since it would not flush on its own and we had no money to fix it. So when people say we had no pot to piss in , it was true in our case .. We also had no running hot water and we would have to boil water to take a shower or wash dishes. What we did have was plenty of love.. But to be honest because we grew up so poor I did give my kids way more Christmas then most kids.. I remember one year ( I have 3 boys) we had over 100 gifts under the tree. To be fair I got 99 percent of them free from doing points online. This was when the internet was new and a lot of businesses was pretty much giving free stuff away. I got my boys gameboys for free because we got almost 3000 dollars in best buy gift cards. We got all my family and husbands family free Christmas too.. After I seen how my boys reacted to, too many gifts because after awhile they were bored opening gifts I cut back on giving too many gifts on Christmas .. Heck kids the age of Ollie and Fin like boxes more then the actual toy.. But I can see if someone grew up poor to over indulge on giving gifts . I tried to give my boys the things I could never get or my parents could afford.. I am happy to say that all my boys are grown. All have great jobs and not spoiled at all. Because I did give them things I also gave them attention and love to go with them things. I did not have a camera in their faces 24/7 and made them perform for views.. They went to preschool to interact with other kids and they knew how to share. Something Ollie does not do. My youngest needed speech therapy and I was not embarrassed to say that he did. He just graduated college with a bachelor in Science and Math Magna Cum Laude So proud of that boy and all my boys./

I was just poking around online and found a study that was conducted in 2014 that said that out of 2000 parents polled 45% of them bought sibling presents for another child's birthday.. FORTY FIVE PERCENT!!! I'm shocked, no wonder we are growing up in a society of spoiled ass children.

That is sickening!!! I already knew I was a little more of an anti-spoiling hardliner than what is probably average, but that statistic is blowing my mind right now.

If we had whined or thrown fits on siblings' birthdays growing up, we'd have gotten a one way ticket to our room for the day, without cake, and probably a spanking. Lol, society is collapsing!

Wow, I grew up poor I was lucky to get my own gift let alone my mom giving my 5 siblings a gift too.. I think my first real gift was when I was 16.. The only time we got gifts was on Christmas morning and that was maybe 2 to 4 gifts each

I don't see any need for Missy to redo Finn's perfectly good nursery. The kid just turned 1 so it's not like he even cares or is at an age where he's getting older and needs it changed to a big boy room.

It seems Missy needs something else to throw $$$ at now that her kid's birthday parties and the gender reveal are over. Unnecessary spending IMO. Maybe she feels like she deserves it with Bryan's astronomical spending on that garbage he calls music.

Also, why are you making your pregnant friend push your child around in the stroller at the pumpkin place? I guess I shouldn't be surprised when she made her help make things for her own gender reveal party.

I've thrown several showers for friends and family and would never dare ask the guest of honor to help. I know they are very close friends but it seems very rude and tacky to me

Im just catching up on reading through the forum from the weekend and saw a few people comment that they heard people singing "happy birthday to Ollie" so I went and watched Kelsey and Corbins vlog just to listen. It's hard to hear but I'm fairly certain I actually hear Bryan say "Ollie" and then quickly says "Finley". I'm listening on my phone without head phones plus with everyone else singing it is hard to hear, but try to listen past Corbins singing and please let me know if anyone else can hear it. I havnt yet watched the bumps vlog. I cant even stand to watch them anymore just to add to here haha.

ETA just watched the bumps and they definitely sung it again. After the cut Bryan changed how loud he was singing. You couldn't hear him singing at all in Corbins until he says Ollie and theb Finley. And Missys facial expression is different between the two at that point of them singing "happy birthday to Finley" she actually looks annoyed.

Exactly! Haha and if you watch the bumps vlog, after the cut when Bryan is panning the camera around everyone looks really annoyed at him. And he really emphasises saying "Finley" that time. He screwed up and it's evident in Steps to Wander vlog.

So with people saying Corbin doesn't much like Bryan, & others insistent on 2 different versions of them singing Happy Birthday, did Corbin leave the screwed up version in purposely, rather than the corrected FINLEY version, as a (passive-aggressive) way to F with Bryan? [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH AND SMILING EYES]

I personally didn't hear "Ollie" being sung, in either vlog. I did notice that "Finley" sounded mumbled in the song, but thought it was more because some just sang Finn & others added the "ley." A one syllable name used in the song kinda makes you add an emphasis to the end of the name (rather than trying to explain in writing, I can only suggest singing it to yourself to understand what I mean! Lol). So some were saying "in," while others said "ley," & it just came across as mumbled & rather incoherent.

I don't think we'll ever know for sure one way or another if it was botched, & by whom-- unless Finn writes a memoir when he's older!

Are you sure? I don't think they left yet. They are awful people and awful parents but I doubt they would leave Finn without either of his parents on his first birthday.

Watch out guys....Ollie and Finn are "trapped" in the pumpkin patch....oh wait...never mind they are just sitting on top of them!!

Missy finally brought the stroller....because she didn't have Mimi and Papa there to help carry Finn...poor thing....in the good old days Mom's used to watch their babies!!

Did anyone see the sly fox vlog? Andrew and Jeff going out for lunch and Andrew mentions he's been friends with Jeff for 10 years. Remember when they were all besties (sly fox , bumps and jeffersons)I bet that's why Andrew hasn't been around, he can't stannnnnd Bryan. We saw it coming ! I'm glad they are staying away! That went down hill quick!
