Poor Indie always looking like Harry in Dudley's old clothes. I mean you can't expect them to check the tag and put the girls in the correct size?! That's too much work and that's not what's easiest for them.
They leave those kids alone all the time in the car and have since they were babies. Just like I suspect they leave them alone a lot of the time when they're at home even outside all the time they're sleeping\trapped in completely dark rooms in mesh tent things. A lot of what goes on with them I honestly do think is neglect. Oh they have lots of food and lots of clothes and lots of toys but those kids are neglected.

Re: Gardner Quad Squad - The Freeloaders (Part 10)
I noticed t he other day when Evie was shutting the door and Esme was shutting hers. The rooms have the blankets over the windows so there is no fresh air or light in the rooms whatsoever. A$$ley bought 16 or so milk sippy cups downstairs. Can you imagine the smell from diapers and stale sippy cups. That's just not fair on the girls. I can remember my youngest son waking up in the morning and from his nap and watching the sun streaks on the wall from between the curtains and trying to make faces out of them. How terribly sad. Again.DoodleBop wrote:Poor Indie always looking like Harry in Dudley's old clothes. I mean you can't expect them to check the tag and put the girls in the correct size?! In the video of then trashing the Bingams car, did you notice how excited Ashley got at the idea of Brandon catching them? Instead if of oh shit there's the Bingams lets get out of here fast.....Ashley was super excited that she might get to interact with Mr Mountable instead! Tysons either blind or he doesn't care.

Yes, this! I agree about the Heavies, their looks are not cute nor pretty. Snout for a nose, yup. Thank you for mentioning this. I don't even feel guilty for saying that. I do see indie and esme as the prettier of the FF. I think a lot of jealousy will emerge from the 2 heavies as the teenage years approach.

Usually the only time they bring up the pregnancy or NICU stay etc is when they need the views.

In a normal circumstance, this theory would sound nuts. But, unfortunately, it doesn’t sound so far fetched with this family.lovethispage wrote:Twinsplusone wrote:I THINK MIMI AGREED (AND LOOKED THE OTHER WAY) WHEN THE CHILD BRIDE MARRIED SO EARLY BECAUSE SHE WANTED HER AWAY FROM PAPA.lovethispage wrote:

Brilliant analysis. And ASSWIT is following in her mother’s footsteps. Some one mentioned something similar recently about her being jealous of her own children.

I think Esme needed a helmet when she was a baby. If you look at her head shape compared to Indie, that is part of why they don't look so identical. Indie's nose is unfortunate also. Honestly, if Trashley would quit slicking their hair back it would help. That style is not only painful, but it is not a good look for anyone. Especially girls that are already dealing with unfortunate features.Night lady wrote: Yes, this! I agree about the Heavies, their looks are not cute nor pretty. Snout for a nose, yup. Imagine looking back at your bizzare childhood where you never ever wore anything that wasn’t matched to your twin/sisters so odd
My daughter the same age has very strong views on what she wears. I reckon these girls are at least 12 months behind in most aspects

I actually grew up and went to school with 3 different set of twins. The only time they were dressed alike was church or special occasions.

Re: Gardner Quad Squad - The Freeloaders (Part 10)
I have mirror-image identical twins (they are now 16). From the start, it was so important to me to raise them as individuals. I asked people not to refer to them as “the twins” and though their differences in personality were obvious from the get-go, I didn’t want them labeled as ‘the sporty one’ or ‘the sensitive one’, etc. Dressing them alike was rare and we’ve treated them like any other sisters. I’ve also always made an effort for alone time with each of my daughters, doing something that each one is interested in. I’ve made sure that they had personal space and the ‘room’ to grow as an individual.
Is it special to have an identical twin? Yes! But is it self-serving and selfish to claim that as something that is the parent’s? Yes!
The truth is that even as their mom, though it’s special to watch, I’m not part of the bond my twins have. That’s theirs alone and that’s their’s to make however identical or different that they choose. T & A don’t get that at all! They make it all about them.
The selfishness it takes for Dumb and Dumber not to treat their four daughters as individuals is disgusting. Can you imagine growing up being referred to as “the quads” ALL of the time? Children live up to the labels they are given; how about celebrating their individuality. It makes me sick to watch it.

I just watched the car trashing vlog. Had to laugh and roll my eyes at the irony of Ca$hley saying in the GIRLSES bathroom "I wanted subtle counter tops. I don't like them to be noisy or loud ." CC don't worry, nothing can be considered noisy or loud as long as you're around. And then in the next breath "I like them to look pretty clean." someone needs to show her their current kitchen counter.

Just in gross motor skills alone, the Busby girls can do all 6 of these skills where I have only seen the Gardner girls do a few.lovethispage wrote:Comparing Busby quints and Quad Squad
Busby born at 29 weeks (Wikipedia)
Quads born at 28 or 29.5 (depending on what article, no Wiki for them lol)
Busby Birthday April 8, 2015
Quad Birthday Dec 28, 2014
Busby’s are over 3 months younger then the Quads and clearly are milestones ahead. Better behaved, can talk converse and can play nicely together. They have 5 girls not 4 and 6 if you count their older daughter. TLC can edit anyway they want to show any kind of behavior or situation. The Busby’s don’t have creative control. The Greedners do and they give us their best stuff which is crap. Can you imagine what they must edit?
There clearly is something wrong with the Quads. Is it their pieces of shit for brains parents? You never see them work with them at anything to help them developmentally. I think it’s because they are too embarrassed that they are so behind. They could pretend they were having their 2nd birthday in December and any new KAD would be none the wiser.
By 3 years of age:
1. Walk, run, and start learning to jump with both feet. (The quads trip when they run and they can't jump off the ground with both feet at once).
2. Pull or carry toys when walking. (Yes to both).
3. Throw and kick a ball; try to catch a ball with both hands. (No to all 3; except Evie who can throw a ball).
4. Stand on tiptoes and balance on one foot. (No to both).
5. Climb on furniture and playground equipment. (They have the first one down pat! Indie and Esme need help climbing at the playground unless it is stairs).
6. Walk up stairs, holding onto the railing; may alternate feet. (Yes to walking up stairs, but they do not alternate feet unless holding on tight to the rail).
They would benefit so much from a weekly class at My Gym or another gymnastics center, buying them a playground ball, a tricycle, and a scooter, and getting them some better fitting sneakers. The sad thing is, they won't. And gross motor skills are the skills were they are the least behind and would be the easiest for them to catch up on. Makes me sad for the girls that they have all the potential in the world and nothing is being done to support them.

Re: Gardner Quad Squad - The Freeloaders (Part 10)
As I've watched the Gardner vlogs over the years it seems to me they have become all about "spectacle" - (defined by dictionary.com in case the Gardners read here): "anything presented to the sight or view, especially something of a striking or impressive kind, a public show or display, especially on a large scale."
Everything is showy: the clothing, the huge donuts, the hair styles, the decorations, all the cheese (lol), eating out, all the shopping, the massive quantities of makeup etc. Even the way they celebrate anniversaries etc. It makes me wonder if Ashley and Tyson put on this huge, sing songy show to cover up a very sad under belly. A & T seem like "adult children." I remember them saying life was really tough before the girls came along.
The "showyness" makes it harder for a vlog viewer to discern what's really going on. On one hand, the girls look clean and put together on camera. Of course the girls giggle and laugh as they are filmed running full speed around the house past sharp corners, standing in their high chairs, throwing furniture down the stairs and eating mounds of candy and "treats."
Most mature parents realize the need to teach teach delayed gratification to children. The Gardner girls seem to be given whatever they want whenever they want it to appear "soooooooo happppppyyyy" (on camera?). Is that what's best for their overall 3 year old development? I found an interesting piece (link to site below):
"Psychological abuse is defined as 'sustained, repetitive, inappropriate behaviour which damages, or substantially reduces, the creative and developmental potential of crucially important mental faculties and mental processes of a child: these include intelligence, memory, recognition, perception, attention, language and moral development' (O'Hagan 1993, pp.33-34). Psychological abuse fundamentally undermines a child's capacity to understand and manage her/his environment by creating confusion and fear, thereby rendering the child more vulnerable and less confident (O'Hagan 1995)."

I think one of the less big twins is quite cute but not overly special, but I can't really tell with the large twins, because I've asked a couple people, and they kind of recoil in horror because of their teeth or something. So, maybe it's just me, 'cuz before I asked, I thought they were mildly pretty.

Re: Gardner Quad Squad - The Freeloaders (Part 10)
I think all the kids can be cute it's their behavior that makes them uncute and that's not their fault. It's like when you meet a kid who's super annoying at school then you finally meet their parents. Yeah no wonder that kid's a jerk his parents are too.
I see it going one of two ways - they never publicly or maybe even privately acknowledge their daughters' obvious developmental delays. Or when they finally do they blame it entirely on the delay\dosability and not the lack of parenting\neglect. Which as a mom of autistic children it annoys me because we still to this day deal with the effects of the "Refrigerator mother" idea from the 40s. Then you have people who don't give a shit who make us all look bad.

Lack of maternal warmth can & will mess up a child’s mind and sense of security & feeling loved, but I have to disagree that is causes autism. Autism is something you are born with ..... just my opinionjustalurker2 wrote:A 1950's theory that lack of maternal warmth causesHowlin17 wrote:What's a refrigerator mother?
