If my grandmother was still alive yes, I would be weirded out but now that she’s passed away its nice my grandfather passes gifts along.

Just watched them ( chad and Jennifer) talk about the gifts. They seemed very proud with the gifts they gave. It was sweet.

I fully expect the same from Ellie when her vlog goes up tomorrow. I never received that many growing up, and it was just me and my brother, and we were well off. It almost feels like they're showing off their wealth earned from exploiting their children.
This.

So many "Christmas vlogs" are just a big opportunity to show off all the money they have made off their kids. In one way, it's good, because those kids probably won't see much of that money. So it's nice that they get to have a few amazing Christmas celebrations before the gravy train runs out.
But it's also such a gross display of gluttony. I just feel like I need a shower after watching. All the screaming and yelling, and "Look what I got!!" showing off, makes me feel skeevy.

I agree 100%. While watching, I can't help but think these kids really don't appreciate the magnitude of what they're receiving every year. I saw last year's Christmas vlog as well, and both times they refer to the kids' "piles". Like it's a normal thing they've been afforded all their lives. They're inadvertently raising gluttonous, entitled children. For example, I can't stand to hear Shari speak; she thinks so much of herself at such a young age.

I thought it was nice that Ruby got Kevin a new wedding band. You can tell she was nervous that young women are always hitting on him when he travels. Wise decision to put a ring on it.

A ring can easily be taken off though Image
I think Kevin is too dumb to cheat though.

Yeah, he really is. I can't see them ever breaking up, which is a good thing.

Do young women hit on him?

I can't imagine women hitting on Kevin. Sorry. I just don't find him attractive. But that's me. However, if she is nervous about women hitting on her husband, and him actually responding, they have issues that a new wedding band won't solve.

I personally don't find him attractive, but when he's dressed in business attire, he certainly gives off the appearance that he comes from money, which could be enough for someone to flirt with him.

What is the divorce rate for Utah Mormon couples? Probably very low. Most seem like they stay together for life no matter what.

I hope Kevin doesn't stray on Ruby, but Ruby flirts a lot too, right on the vlogs with men all the time.

It doesn't creep me out yet because they're only 12 and 14 and I know it's innocent, but the mall situation is exactly what teenagers would do on a date. The good thing is that they both do have an interest in boys and girls outside of each other. Shari has that guy Brevin that she's always with and Chad has the little girls chasing after him. They'll be fine, but it is weird.

I think ruby and Kevin are the last ones to have a scandal, at least of the Griffith clan. They seem pretty old school and into each other. I just really don’t see either of them straying from each other.

Ruby likes Brevin because he doesn't mind being filmed (her words). Seriously woman?! You're just in it for some juicy vlog footage. I am so confused by the elaborate gift giving between Shari and Chad and their crushes. They supposedly aren't allowed to date until 16 but yet they are going out of their way with romantic gestures. It seems so odd to me. And how freaking awkward that this Brevin kid is going to have his private business aired out for the world. So strange that Ruby and Shari are cool with talking about him after he left and recording it. That kid is going to change his mind real quick about not minding the camera when his buddies start teasing him about it.

I don't get how Shari can have a "boyfriend" if she can't "date". I am betting that if there was no vlog, Shari wouldn't have a boyfriend.
But it's just pointless to have a rule that the kids can't date until they're 16 and then let them be in an exclusive relationship. Mixed signals, much?

I have nothing to say other than "Brevin" might legitimately be the worst name I have ever heard in my entire life. Seriously, I can't hear it without making a face.

I was thinking that too. I'm just going to say it, and if I insult a whole state, oh well. They like some weird names in Utah.
The Binghams boys-- Krew, Brexsin, Ryler (they call Krew "Krewbie") Not sure about that spelling-- just doing it phonetically. But Brexsin just makes me think of "Brexit".
And the Tannerites-- Canyon? Azbury? Do they love Bruce Springsteen? New Jersey?
One of the Teen Moms named her son Maverick. Maybe she's a big Top Gun fan?
Even traditional names have to have a "unique" spelling. So the kid is doomed to go through life correcting the spelling of their names. For what?

Brevin is currently #739 in Utah and peaked around the year he was born. Doesn’t make it any less ugly but at least it isn’t completely made up by his parents.
