Long day for me the last few days and no time to watch yesterday's vlog until just now. Lord help us all if they don't get carpet before the end of July and we have to deal with flood talk that long... I thought they got a discount on carpet at their neighbors store because they picked a carpet they already had in stock? Why would the have to wait that long if they don't have to order it? Did they decide to go with someone or something more expensive since the insurance is paying for it? I noticed she said she was talking to "the carpet lady" and not "our neighbor so and so".... I'm getting so tired of them. And also I'm so tired of "staying tuned for "exciting announcements" that turn out to be nothing but duds.
I don't think they understand that things that they consider to be "exciting announcements!" are major yawn feats to the rest of us.. I could not possibly care less what kind of carpeting they get. Maddie's bathroom was cool admittedly, because Mindy's dad did most of the work, and I got a Chip Gaines thrill from it. But they are not actually "renovating". All they are doing is replacing some carpeting and light fixtures. BFD. I don't care about the truck bed lining. It's not my truck, although I feel like I helped pay for it with the amount that my daughter watches their vlogs.
Between the flood and truck talk and their refusal to give a shit if pedophiles get off on footage of their sons shirtless bodies, the greed, and last but not least the in unison, monotone "Thank you, we looove you" that neither sounds grateful nor loving, I just can't bear these people anymore.

I so agree, but for some reason it's like watching an accident I'm passing on a highway. I know I should look away, but I just can't. More and more I'm watching to see how much more annoying and ridiculous they can get than I am because I like what I'm watching.
I know the GQS have their own thread but I can’t bear to watch their videos. Did anyone catch them in the recital - just complete blank stares - nothing. No personality. And then I could hear Tyson afterwards saying “you did
Sooo good.”
Anyway, it was refreshing to not watch a vlog about a truck or the flood but seriously we KNOW you bought your dad a car and I think calling your daughter a princess should be limited. It’s cute now...

I guess it's pretty normal for full time YouTube families to have both parents home and not working. Not saying that to go against any of the negative comments posted today. Just saying it because today's video actually made me mad when I saw the title. I thought "what the heck are you doing? How can you be so stupid?!" And then as I watched, I still thought the same thing, but also started thinking about all the other vlog families that I watch and realized that almost all of them have both parents at home full time. But I was still annoyed by this video today, which confused me because I'm not upset or bothered by those other families where both parent are home. But then I had another realization.... I've never been watching those families when the father decided to quit his job. They either had already done so before they started YouTube, or I wasn't watching the family yet. So I couldn't have a reaction when it happened.
I do think it's crazy that Branden quit his job. They just bought a truck (how could we forget that?) and health insurance is expensive to buy on your own. But I do think it's good for them as far as he will be home more. He traveled a lot for work. I also don't think they will fall down the GQS rabbit hole where vlogs are full of boring and lazy nothingness. They are a very active family, and if anything, this will provide more opportunities for them to go out and do things. The kids get out of school this week and Madi will be there for the summer soon.
Anyhow... I still think it was kind of a rash decision for them to make. But I guess I'm at least willing to give them the benefit of waiting to see how it goes. I'm hoping it will actually be more proof that the Gardners are lazy selfish asshats who make no decision based on the needs of their children.
If nothing else, we'll have a lot more to talk about here in this thread now, won't we? That will be GREAT!
Well what does he need a job for? They already got the truck he wanted and the renos they wanted are being paid for by the insurance company. And really, pimping out your shirtless studs and your princess to make the most money is going to require two full time parents.

Yes, I also wondered how much money they must make not even having a quarter of a million followers. On one hand, I do think is was a crazy decision, but on the other hand, I'm actually praying it works wildly well for them and they become so big so fast that they surpass the GQS and leave them in the dust forever.
Yeah true enough. I cringe when I see any connections that they still have to those baffoons. I still don’t understand how they are friends, I really don’t.
