I definitely remember them mentioning getting a storage unit. I think in their Q&A? They said last time they stored stuff in her moms garage but they only had a few boxes then.ewokfan11 wrote:Did they say that? From what I understood they are storing stuff in a parent's garage. Kelsey also said they are leaving the car at her mom's house.crazy_in_canada wrote:They said they are getting a storage unit in Idaho.onbreak wrote:So.. They're leaving it up to family to unpack? Or just leaving stuff in the truck?

They are planning to live with "family" (guessing Corbin's parents) after the RV trip, so I'm guessing they might use their stuff in some sort of "apartment" set up at their house.
Storage units aren't terribly expensive, but they have to remember to pay the bills even while on the road. I'm not so sure they are really all that responsible about bills and such.

So who is that girl that keeps popping up in their vlogs? Interesting that they don’t say. She’s always left with June while her parents are off doing something together. Is she paid or ?

Idk who she is, but she says the weirdest sarcastic stuff. In the video where they supposedly found 100 dollars in the ocean she made a weird comment about Kelsey and Corbin has been gone for 3 days and June was starving and the hard part of being a care giver if June dies its her faultjanem wrote:So who is that girl that keeps popping up in their vlogs? Another beach vlog with another unknown sitter for June. I don’t think it was the same gal as before. This one looked a little older. Just so strange that they don’t mention who these people are.
Even these vlogs are boring. Corbin is a real idiot. Where they went in laguna was a sandy bottom and La Jolla has more rocky bottom for the fish to hide in. Maybe he doesn’t realize that’s what the difference is and why.
Had to laugh at June swatting at the camera. Guess she’s tired of a camera being shoved in her face my love!

Re: Steps to wander: Steps to having your parents pay for a
Ha! I thought the same thing when he said that. It seemed that Kelsey recognized that that was a HUGE inconvenience and incredibly entitled of him to think that someone would take off work and drive two days there and two days back just so that they could save money. She kept saying something like, “I don’t think that’s going to work…” I’m not even sure it’s worth driving six hours out of your way to save $1,000 on a U-Haul minus gas money, but that’s up to them and depends on what your time is worth. Don’t drag a family member into it to do your biding because you can’t manage your finances and insist on moving every 10 months.ewokfan11 wrote:THIS!!!!! He's such an ASSHOLE! I think he really would expect someone to take a week off work, etc., just to help them move. It also interesting they want to fly someone down to drive with Kelsey. I get that driving alone with June might be a bit harder, but it really makes her sound like she can't drive by herself.Shorty02 wrote:Leave it to Corbin to think someone in his family would be willing to drive a U-haul from Idaho to California, just so they can save some money.
The sense of entitlement is out of control with this douchebag.
Kelsey is really confusing. She tries to sell herself as an independent woman, but she's TOTALLY not. She relies on Corbin for everything. I think she sees herself as a modern mom/woman, but I see her more like a bored 1950s housewife. Even before June, she really didn't seem to do much other than hangout with Corbin. What happened to all the art plans? I think she did one project with sticks...and that was it—for like three-plus years. Do they even do art projects with June?
I can understand why driving alone with a one-year-old is not ideal- there is no one in the backseat to distract her or to tend to her if she gets fussy, wants a toy, etc. But they’re the ones who planned two large moves in a 10 month timespan. They need to figure it out, preferably without falling back on mom and dad to bail them out at every opportunity.
They claim that they are getting a long-term storage unit. I highly doubt their parents have room to store that amount of stuff. They should cut their losses and sell the furniture they bought. The amount of money they are going to spend moving and storing it when all is said and done is probably more than they paid for it in the first place. I thought it was ridiculous that they were buying furniture brand new from a relatively expensive retailer when they don’t own their house and tend to move around a lot.
They keep claiming that this arrangement will save them money, but when you factor in the cost of the storage unit, the cost of gas, the cost of the RV itself, etc. I can’t imagine how this is significantly less than their rent and utilities in CA. They should have started seriously looking and made an offer before their lease was up, assuming they even have the down payment and the pre-approval. It’s obvious that they realized they couldn’t get the house they wanted with what they had, so they hatched this plan to try to once again make it on YouTube by marketing themselves as a family living in an RV. And they think that magically the money will roll in and they’ll be able to afford that “dream house.”

Re: Steps to wander: Steps to having your parents pay for a
They’ve moved how many times and they have people in the comments having to tell them to look at less expensive moving truck rentals and to try changing the pick-up location? These two will never learn. We’ve only ever done local moves, so I can’t speak to that, but their comments are filled with people telling them to look at Penske, that a 20 foot truck will definitely not be big enough, that Uhaul has added mileage costs, etc.
Kelsey says, “You’d think we’d know all the tips because we move every year” and Corbin says that moving from southern CA is “different” like it’s some super challenging location to move from. The fact of the matter is they have a lot more stuff than any previous move, they have a one-year-old, and they don’t do their homework and never plan a thing. It was easier to get away with that kind of attitude when they were younger, but now that they have actual responsibilities they’re just shooting themselves in the foot by being so disorganized.

Re: Steps to wander: Steps to having your parents pay for a
Missy brought up her girls' night out plans with Kelsey and said they've both been "so busy," so it's hard for them to make plans. LIES. They were together EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. when they first moved down.
I'm guessing the night out was planned to say goodbye to Kelsey and Missy felt obligated to do something. They went from BFFs to NEVER seeing each other at all within about three months!
I'm sure the beef is between Corbin and Bryan, but it must make everything so awkward.
Side note: Corbin REALLY loves awful hairstyles. He looks like such a douche.

Re: Steps to wander: Steps to having your parents pay for a
These two are such idiots! Another vlog of them sitting and talking about getting the moving van. They went over what they’ve already discussed.
They’re only planning on staying on the west coast (I don’t even think Calif). He said only west of Texas. Canada as far as Baniff.
Regarding the Canada part. They said they wanted to visit their friend Simon. I follow him and these two are clueless. He’s in the middle of a boat remodel that he lives on with his dog. The place is always a mess because of this. He has people who come and work with him for a few days but a toddler??? Come on!!
They really have no plan (we like it like that). Except his family camp trip in October to lake Powell. She did say that in case anything happened, they’d be close to Idaho.
He seems to think that he can make videos that people will want to watch since now he’s already done it once. Really? These two are boring. June has no idea what anything really is and to always say “she loves it” or “she’ll be so excited” is just dumb. She’s a toddler what does she even know? She won’t remember any of it.
I really don’t think they even have any leads on the RV. So in a couple of weeks they’re leaving (after driving 6 extra hrs to get the truck). I see them staying with family until they can actually get their act together.
I think Kelsey was getting a little annoyed at him...he kept interrupting her. Good luck Kelsey with your aging dog, toddler and immature man child.

Re: Steps to wander: Steps to having your parents pay for a
It sounds like they are just going to live in the RV and not do much traveling. I suspected they'd go up to Vancouver Island, which is really pretty, but other than that it sounds like they aren't really going anywhere new.
I really don't know how they are going to maneuver an RV in bigger cities—like Portland. But I guess they aren't really actually going to any....
Also, Corbin wants to find FREE campsites?? Good luck with that! That means no hookups for the RV and usually really, really remote places. With a toddler? Without any wi-fi?
I honestly won't be surprised if this all falls through.

He sums himself up in their latest vlog. Easier. He keeps saying this is how we will do it because it’s easier. Life is not easy. Who told him it should be. At some point they have to join the real world.

Actually, Corbin’s a little behind on the whole man bun thing. I thought that was a dad from last year?
YT recommended another RV family. They seemed put together, planned out, prepared, knew what they were doing. It’d be funny to watch them together and compare. Lol
