How is that even possible if everything they have been saying is true? None of what they say makes sense. In December they admitted to selling an apple computer to buy Christmas gifts and groceries yet 2 months later they magically have an extra 30k laying around?

Again, saying they shouldn’t have spent that much on Brooks’ first birthday party, but then justifying going overboard for Gaines’ first birthday party. Seriously, stop with the favoritism! Gaines shouldn’t have to quit gymnastics, but Brooks can do an activity because it is too expensive. How is that okay?

And to live such a privileged life that you are complaining about having to do your own yard work. How about shut up and realize how spoiled you are and stop trying to live a life you can’t afford.

And how the hell did they get current and pay off almost $18K in debt in two months? Something isn’t adding up. There is no way they did all that bringing home $8000 a month.

Things definitely don't add up. They must have used ALL of their December earnings (wasn't it ~$20K?) to pay things off and didn't save a cent for taxes. Then Katie's savings was like $4000, then what Cullen sold was several thousands. Maybe that's how they did it, but it's really stupid if they didn't save anything for taxes.

Katie also said they've always had more than $1000 in their emergency fund, but she couldn't tap into that when they had $1 for gas? I'd describe that as an emergency.

These two just make major, massive mistakes. Now they are complaining non-stop. If they don't want same-day showing, then YES, put in the listing description you need 12- or 24-hour notice. It's NOT a big deal. (I also HIGHLY doubt they are getting showing requests as often as they say they are.)

Also, now they've paid all of this off, but their income also drops. How are they paying everything going forward. They really didn't make much of a dent in their debt and they still have a mortgage, insurance, other bills, etc.

They arent current, they might be current as far as 1st Jan, i dont believe they are fully paid up to date as of today.

So as of their first debt vlog they needed what say $10k (spitballing numbers) to get current, but in the past nearly two months have they actually paid everything on time as well as paying money towards getting current?? Have they caught up and continued to keep current??

The numbers in the video aren't making a lot of sense to me either but I think a large part of that is because the personal is mixed with the business. Also, I suspect there is some embellishment in the paid off numbers. I'm hoping the house sells soon even if they have to take money to the table to close. Not sure if it will help them get on track but I think selling the house will be a step in the right direction so I'm really hoping a buyer shows up sooner rather than later.

Now the one thing that is constant with Katie is the need to make excuses or justifications for everything she does. Katie if you feel the need to explain yourself before anyone has even asked anything then you know you are making stupid decisions and trying to convince yourself it is the right thing to do. My husband has a degree similar to Katie's and I can tell you from listening to her she didn't learn a thing in school and I wouldn't want her near anyone I know. She would do well to apply some of the principles she learned to her own family.

Anyone else get the feeling that they are thinking about staying in this house? Or at least coming to terms with the fact that no one is wanting to buy it.

AdSense only pays out once a month and it's about a month behind when you earned it. Yes, they'll probably see an AdSense bump, but I'm sure it hasn't been paid out yet. I wonder if they are expecting more and therefore spending more (again).

When she miscalculated something from one vlog to the next. I believe she never included their “get current” in their debt total to start with cos... I dunno, they are dumb and actually have zero clue what they are doing.

Bullshit they have a $1000+ emergency fund. What about when she needed money for gas and couldn’t find $1!

This debt series is going to start going downhill for them if they are simply just taking money from the business to pay off the debt. Nothing about that is realistic and relatable in any possible way! Nor are they actually budgeting and paying off debt the way the majority of people do. They are not going to have any advice to give because they are not making any sacrifices and they seem to be working less than they were before the debt videos. How could they possibly have had a 1000+ emergency fund yet couldn't afford groceries or gifts in December, didn't have gas money over the summer? I call all of those situations emergencies. They are the most delusional assholes in the world if they think the little bit of yard work they did was hard. Try working 50+hours and taking care of and over an acre . They are so stuck inside their country club bubble they don't even seem to realize how most families live.

Also Katie stopped being transparent about their adsense income (their YT income they aren't allowed to share), I think this is a conscious decision of Katie to not be as transparent as only the first video anymore. But the debt videos don't make sense this way. They are like magicians with numbers. No one can follow their debt process. And my guess is this is how Katie wants it to be. I am not sure, maybe it will change in the next video, but for now it doesn't make sense at all. And if true that say Katie's parents helped with paying their mortgage (an extreme necessity), then a genuine debt series would be to honestly share this. But no, Katie casually mentioned it like out of the blue and not even looking at the camera.

Theres no legal document that says they cant share what they earn from youtube. The choose not to share it. Other youtubers are open and honest about the numbers. I would hazard a guess that they get paid jackshit if they dont/wont even share the real numbers.

I haven't watched the video but did they clarify whether the 13k get current was part of the 17k? Or are they claiming they somehow came up with 30k to get current ans pay off a large chunk of debt?

It amazes me that it would even be legal for a company to disallow their employees/contractors etc from discussing their pay. The only people that benefits is the company because people wouldn’t be able to find out if there is a giant pay gap and that’s how we end up with massive pay inequalities. If people were more encouraged to discuss what they’re making, companies could get in trouble fast.
