It wasn't her breast in the picture. I zoomed in on it and lightened the picture. It was definitely the baby's hand.LovePotion009 wrote:From the look of her flat inverted nipple in the pic she accidentally posted she may have thought she would have trouble.madbeauty88 wrote:Um because it's the one of the best thing you can do for your baby and that's what they were made for? Re: GENERAL TheCurrentCustom/Lorraine THREAD
Part of me thinks she named that kid Graham just so she could hashtag her IG photos of him #instagraham like she keeps doing.
And if you check out that hashtag it's mostly pictures of orange tabby cats and s'mores.

The DITL video she posted just now was pretty good. The baby is cute, but when Brian was letting the stroller go towards that chair, it made me so nervous. I would be so mad if my husband did something like that. Even though he's kidding, I just wouldn't want to put the baby in danger.

I was pretty good. Graham is too cute. Did you noticed when Debbie said Graham look as though he is getting red hair Lorraine didn't like that much.

Re: GENERAL TheCurrentCustom/Lorraine THREAD
Ugh It's been a while since I was able to post and UGH!!! The first video I watch was Caveman and her awful parenting skills, Is she just fu*@ing dumb? I mean, I know she fishes for compliments, and stirs the pot to get relevant, but to blatantly put your newborn at risk? HELL NO! ugh why would anyone think it's okay to try tummy time with a newborn? I want to meet a practitioner, that would say this is okay let alone good for... NO! I have kids and I have common sense to know a newborn has no control of their little necks, they are at their weakest and need to be supported at all times. I hope someone calls CPS on this bitch cause I can't believe she would show this on YT and really think it's a no biggie. Fucking ASSHAT!

Re: GENERAL TheCurrentCustom/Lorraine THREAD
I would love to hear the laughter on the other end of the phone if someone were to call CPS and tell the Lorraine is doing supervised tummy time with her baby so they should investigate. Especially given that tummy time is not only acceptable with newborns, but encouraged.
What I found kind of horrifying was Debbie. She seems really cold and distant, like a total zombie. Most new grandmothers are all over their grandbabies - especially the first ones - and she barely acknowledged the kid and when she did, it was to passive-aggressively piss of Lorraine with the red hair comment.
Kind of explains a lot about Lorraine.

I guess you canWe started tummy time with our baby right away. When he was 2 weeks we had him do about 5-10 minutes of tummy time 3-4 times a day per our pediatricians recommendation. The more time they spend on their tummy the more they will learn to like it and it's helps them with development. We stayed with him the entire time and tried to get on the floor with him and talk. She is not too young to begin and our doc also said that it helps prevent those lovely flat heads so many babies have.

Re: GENERAL TheCurrentCustom/Lorraine THREAD
Well I have one of the best pediatricians, and he told us it was a big NO NO. Not until they're a few months. I would not recommend it, but seems people like to take advice from "do it your self-ers" I'd rather take advice from a REAL medical doctor/Pediatrician. And you're right Bigdfatroses, silly me to think that CPS would give two shits about a unfit mother, hey they let pedophiles get away with murder, so I'm sure Lorraine's a walk in the park

Re: GENERAL TheCurrentCustom/Lorraine THREAD
Yeah, as long as she's watching him during tummy time, I don't see a huge deal. He was obviously getting frustrated, but from my understanding most babies don't like tummy time?
I think Debbie was annoyed because Lorraine wouldn't let her hold the baby because she had a runny nose and it was just from the knock-off Febreeze, not an actual cold lol.

The dog was playing with the baby's toys and Lorraine didn't stop it. Now they're covered in dog spit. Gross.

Re: GENERAL TheCurrentCustom/Lorraine THREAD
It wasn't too much different than her standing there filming, laughing and talking about how he seems like he doesn't like tummy time. Yep, there you have a great mother. He crying and crying, little head bobbling back and forth and miserable, yet she continues filming and discussing it. I think she must have finally picked him up after she called herself a mean mommy.kittykat wrote:The DITL video she posted just now was pretty good. She is doing everything by the book. Where i come from they also encourage to do tummytime with newborns, not so much for the neck muscles but after feeding the baby, that way they let all the air out easily, burp/fart/whatever and in the mean time they protest just like Graham but after a couple of minutes they're good to go.
That baby is adorable little
Re: GENERAL TheCurrentCustom/Lorraine THREAD
You know, I initially want to find problems in her parenting style because I find her personality kind of abrasive. She's one of those people you love to hate, in my opinion. But I really can't find any fault in how she's acting as a mother. She's informed, and that's so so important. Not everyone is going to agree with everything you do with your child; almost all new moms get some kind of criticism. But I think she's adjusting nicely and she's really doing her research on works best for her baby and her family. That's a lot more than I can say for Judy and Benji.

Re: GENERAL TheCurrentCustom/Lorraine THREAD
Ditto, I was all ready to hate on her b/c of the anti-breastfeeding stuff and so on, but she seems to be breastfeeding so I don't know why there was such a big thing about her not wanting to do it. Maybe someone at the hospital talked some sense in to her.mdnit wrote:You know, I initially want to find problems in her parenting style because I find her personality kind of abrasive. The little I've seen so far, she seems like a really sweet new mom. Brian on the other hand seems like a clueless dope, like always.
Maybe I was wrong and being a mom will turn her into a decent human being after all.

Re: GENERAL TheCurrentCustom/Lorraine THREAD
I just saw the family video and thought it was sweet. They both seem very much in love with their baby and are taking things as they come. I'm happy for them and do wish them the best.
Oh and where I'm from, tummy time is also encouraged from the very beginning. And yes, we all think its mean when we first do it and the babies cry but you learn that it's part of the process. Doesn't mean you love them any less.

Re: GENERAL TheCurrentCustom/Lorraine THREAD
I agree that she seems like she's doing great with the baby. Graham is so cute, and I do like his name. I've only ever known one other person named that, and I think it's a unique name without being crazy. The 2-week newborn video was good, and it seems like Brian is adjusting pretty well too. Although it's obvious that she knows more about all the baby stuff.
