Wow, I learned how maple syrup and honey is made when I was like 5 years old in kindergarten. Even before that, I knew a little bit about it. Every fall you can see the buckets attached to maple trees, not too hard to figure out. Can you say DUHHHHH??? Why are you so sheltered?OldCountry wrote:Bison's IG stories. Haven't seen them all yet but just had to post this. They arrive at the Maple 'Sugar Shack' by horse wagon. Bison is all 'Oh my gosh'. There is a open fire pit with a large black cast iron cauldron with something in it boiling away and Bison says "Look at that, their getting the Dutch oven all heated up to cook us some lunch" I don't think he was kidding, I think he was actually thinking that. In his brain they are there in 'old timey land' so this is must be what they are doing. And of course he is thinking of food.
Also earlier IGs of every one of them, what was that with the tasting of pure maple syrup? WOW, shaking my head,,,that is all I can say about that. Wonder what their reaction will be when they taste 'pure honey'?
Some stated they had learned there about how maple syrup was made and they were amazed. I do not have any words.
