This is my thought as well. Isn't her excuse for why she does pretty much anything that her mother abused her? And wasn't one of the biggest abuses she used calling her pale? And while I agree, yes, she is very pale and the epitome of white privilege, why is she the one taking on the monumental task of filming, editing and publishing an honest conversation with a POC? Like all of the self help videos and newsletters she pumps out in vain, what credentials does she have to do this? I really just can't help this foreboding feeling that it is going to turn into a feel bad for Elle video. Or a "I know how you feel because I have overcome poverty and abuse as well" video. And THAT is what makes a movement die and demeans what is being worked so hard for.Margie wrote: ↑Sat Jun 06, 2020 9:08 am Honestly, I CANNOT even begin to fathom why on earth she would want to do this video. It really highlights how out of touch with herself she is.
She must know that this video, cannot in any way, be edited. It will come off terribly if it is. She’s just not the right person to be doing this video, she’s used the entire movement to benefit herself, this video is going to make her burst into flames.
Mark my words, she will post this video to appear so woke, so relatable, and to “make a difference”. But it will come down just as quickly as the marriage videos and all of the other videos she’s ever posted that show her true colours. Honestly, I would be surprised if the video even gets posted.

Not that it matters because this week is a total write off in Elle's world anyway but there's supposed to be a Soulful Sunday video coming out tomorrow morning. You know, the one that is now only monthly instead of weekly because of the flake producing it? Or has she forgotten all about it because she's so busy holding the world up single handedly?

I guess no Soulful Sunday today? Man, we have to another whole month to get centered and empowered with Elle?JustAMereMuggle wrote:Not that it matters because this week is a total write off in Elle's world anyway but there's supposed to be a Soulful Sunday video coming out tomorrow morning. I wonder of this Myka Stauffer thing is weighing heavy on her mind too. You know because she also used her marriage, children, her "infertility" journey and 3rd pregnancy for the clicks. I best she's thankful she deleted all those family vlogs now!

Anyone watch her ridiculous 45 minute conversation on Instagram tv? I don’t have that kind of time, but I did see how garish and ridiculous she looks

Re: The Lindquists: dELLEusional, deceitful, and divorcing | Part 4
So I watched the 44 minute Instagram video and I have to say I actually somewhat enjoyed it. Elyssa is a very well spoken person and said some things in ways I hadn't looked at them before. As a woman of colour she has a very real viewpoint and it definitely comes across when she is explaining things. The questions were well thought out and I'm thinking she probably had quite a big hand in designing how they were asked and I'm glad she got to articulate her answers in her own way.
And then there's Elle: I mean, at least TRY to look interested. And why the god aweful lipstick? I feel like she's just a pair of size 14 clown shoes and a bad boxed hair dye job away from becoming Ronald McDonald. I really wish she had stayed a lot quieter after Elyssa answered her questions as it seems to me that she was downplaying a lot of the good points she was making.
Two more things:
- Elle you are not a big time influencer. It's your made up job (really more of a hobby as you only seem to do it when you feel like it). If you really feel like you are influencing others to do anything but watch you clean and redecorate your house for the millionth time this year you're dELLEusional.
- You need to stop bringing up your (non) curly, kinky hair at every opportunity. No one cares that you wore a headscarf in your birthday photo except that it makes you look old AF.
Overall I would say watch this video, if only for Elyssa's answers. The amount that Elle is actually in it is far less than I assumed she would be and that's her one saving grace. I really hope her intention isn't to try and make this video go viral and piggyback off of this enlightened girl.

Did Elle rub her face with bacon before filming?

Re: The Lindquists: dELLEusional, deceitful, and divorcing | Part 4
I've only seen the first 10 minutes of it last night. So far listening to Elyssa was great and what the point of the video is about. I wish Elle cut out shots of her listening whenever Elyssa spoke. It was distracting. In usual Elle fashion she expanded or explained further some of her answers but in the 10 minute I watched it not as annoying like in her Everyday Extraordinary series.
Just read some comments under the video and responded to someone that she might do a video explaining what #defundthepolice because she has researched it. I hope to God she won't do this. Why would she think she is now a good resource on this. She is not a journalist in any specialty. This is not the direction to bring your new Channel on Elle.

Honestly, I’m mostly just irritated that Elle is clearly using this as a decoy.
She’s fully embracing this even though it’s so out of scope for her, but it’s one more thing she can hide behind before having to reveal her dumpster fire life and marriage to her questioning viewers.
That screen shot of her perfectly captures her “gooey skin routine” that zero people ever asked for, as well as her expensive fish lips that make her look extra terrible.

In my previous comment, by gooey, I meant dewey... stupid autocorrect
This lighting made her look all SORTS of crazy.

Re: The Lindquists: dELLEusional, deceitful, and divorcing | Part 4
Anyone watched her vlog today?
Honestly, I'm just a little doubtful how sincere Elle is with what's going today. I put it aside since she mostly did a great job putting Elyssa up on her IGTV. But when I hear her talk and mention how she just want to open up her heart so us the viewers can see what she feels etc. It really gave me a trying to hard vibe. Maybe because I've been watching a lot of Myka Stauffer videos on how her narcissism played a role in her channel and adoption. I could be reaching and I certainly hope it's just in my head.
Anyway, why would Elle get rid of the playhouse in the backyard? Did she forget she has a third child that can play with it soon?

Elle is 100% deflecting. She just doesn’t want to get called out again for saying the wrong thing and then have to sit through another conversation.
I also don’t know why she would get rid of that play house... B hit 1 and Elle has already forgotten about her. Big surprise.
Did anyone watch the makeover video of her landing area? I breezed through it, but she films like 2 minutes of her overdone reaction To the reveal before even showing it to the boys. It’s embarrassing. It was a space for the boys and she still had to make it about her. Yuck.
Anyone notice Rachel Hollis announced her divorce? Maybe Elle will jump on that bandwagon now that Rachel paved the way.

I CAN'T with her 516,845 step cUrLy GiRl hair routine. If you need that many steps to get your hair that little bit wavy then you DO NOT have curly hair. This is literally all I could see the whole time...

All that work, all that excessive shampooing to get rid of build up and then she puts a thousand hair products afterwards. Then the drying which alone could take up to an hour of just standing there with a diffuser! My hair is just a tad more curlier than Elle's tightest curls. But it does not take me 2 hours to wash and dry, I don't use a diffuser and I use one product, 2 at best when I plan to go out to look more put together. Maybe, just maybe Elle is not accepting her her hair is just wavy not actually curly.JustAMereMuggle wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 8:51 am I CAN'T with her 516,845 step cUrLy GiRl hair routine. Preach. My 4 y/o daughter has gorgeous ringlets and I do literally nothing to her hair aside from washing it and putting a smoothing serum/heat protectant in it. It's one thing to say "I like to curl my hair since it already has some body" but JFC I can't with this Curly Girl method crap.JustAMereMuggle wrote: ↑Wed Jun 10, 2020 8:51 am I CAN'T with her 516,845 step cUrLy GiRl hair routine. Hahahaha, I CANNOT believe the lengths she goes to for those ugly ass curls. If you have to wash your hair 4 times, is that not an indicator that you're overdoing it with the product? Also, her curls always look like crunchy 90's curls to me....HOW does she not see this? She would save approx. 1.5 hours of styling if she just used a curling iron. What a moron. I want an actual stylist to do a "reaction" video to this. As a mom of 3, how on earth is she managing to spend 2 hours on her hair?!
Re: The Lindquists: dELLEusional, deceitful, and divorcing | Part 4
First off, for someone who claims to care about the environments all that water running made me cringe.
I have natural curly hair, and the truth is if I could have low maintenance hair I’d rather, the only thing I hate about curls is how much it takes to make them look decently put together, she is putting her hair through a LOT when she only has wavy hair! Are you kidding me? If I had 3 kids I wouldn’t even spend 30 minutes doing my hair

Today's video. THAT'S what she was teasing as a laundry room complete makeover? She literally took out a counter, painted and changed a dryer door. Then she plagiarized someone else's artwork and is going to be a saint and give everyone subscribed to her channel some free laundry room artwork so you too can have a sh*ttily decorated room to wash your dirty clothes!

THE “CURLS” ... ugh I want to scream because those are NOT curls! It is some ugly ass, greasy and crunchy waves.
The daily laundry schedule. I can’t. Imagine your life being so boring that you have a printed daily laundry schedule. Guess what my “FAMILY OF SIX” laundry schedule is? Wash whatever is dirty, whenever it gets dirty. Mentally, sure I try to do sheets on Sunday BUT WHO NEEDS TO PRINT AND HANG THAT?!?!?
Tbh, I’m just jealous. I wish I had the free time for a 2 hour daily hair routine, to finish and sit around “crafting” boring ass laundry schedule art.

Elle's face makes me uncomfortable. I don't know if it's her makeup, cosmetic procedures, or both, but it looks dirty and like her skin has been stretched so tight that it's painful.
