No that's the genius of these pads. They heat up on their own. You unwrap and place on area of discomfort and they gradually heat up over time and last 6 hours.thegooseiscooked wrote:Excellent suggestions ladies, thank you. Heat pad wouldn't work though Yue, she has no access to a microwave.

Oh, thanks. Will have to check if she's allowed pills but we have a similar product called Ponstan which is excellent.
Thanks everyone, I think we'll get an A+ for our kit. I got some material of women walking dogs in Paris to make the pouch.

Feminine wipes or even baby wipes are my favorite thing to have while on my period. I always feel like I am staying clean. Maybe TMI, but we are all ladies and probably understand.
The pain medicine might not be allowed but you can make a little photo of the package.

Re: Off-Topic Banter Part 3
Lol, a photo of pain relief kind of makes me think I'm saying "Here's the relief you can have once you get home!" Resulting in a phone call from Matron to come and pick her up.
Re: Off-Topic Banter Part 3
As she gets older, she could maybe keep some pills in her purse anyway, when it's less monitored. In high school, a lot of us girls would keep travel size OTC pain relievers in our bags and would always have some if someone needed it since the nurse could only give you Advil or Alieve if you had a doctor's note. I even knew a guy that carried it around because he had a lot of female friends lol.
Clean undies is a real smart idea. I wish I'd thought of that years ago...my kit includes pads and pain medicine lol. I just keep it in the smaller pocket of my purse. I will remember to pack those next time.

Re: Off-Topic Banter Part 3
Most people spend a bunch of money on name brands like Aleve and Midol, but if you look for the generic OTC medication "naproxen sodium," you will be saving your wallet quite a few bucks.

I always carry tampies, ibuprofen, and baby wipes. I dunno about you, but I cannot stand feeling icky.
I try to stay away from chocolate.
It supposedly makes cramps and stuff worse.
And I ain't risking that, lol.

For all curious, I put "sistah" because up until a few years ago, my brother had major speech issues. And he couldn't say Taylor very well, so he called me Sister, but pronounced it Sistah. He still calls me it now, I prefer it too him calling me Taylor, though now he pronounces it the proper way.
Goose, congrats on coffee, I couldn't have your strength. I love tea too though, especially tea from this place in the US (not sure if they have it overseas), Teavana.
