Katie got stuck in a snow storm while coming home from work. The roads were iced over abd she was on the local news, it took her forever to get home. I believe she was pregnant with MG at the time.

This was actually when I first started watching C&K. My husband is from their area of Alabama and we were down there visiting his parents when the snow storm happened. Katie was pregnant with MG but didn't know it yet. She found out about a week later I think.

That's right, she didn't yet know she was pregnant. That was a good vlog too! I'd have been scared to drive and slide on the ice. But she handled the situation really well. I'm enjoying MG more each day a she is always learning ad expressing her own thoughts. I appreciate the fine job her parents are doing. B&M and E&J tell their kids to say "xyz" to make them sound "cute", I guess, while C&K ask Gaines, "what do you think about that?" She gets to be her own little person.

I thought he said he had never seen snow "like that" before. I live just north of C&K and we get like maybe 3 inches in 3 separate events a year lol. Last year we got a whopping EIGHT INCHES and our town was shut down for almost a week. I'm pretty sure that Cullen has seen snow, but i would be just as shocked and excited as he was to see that amount of snow. Especially when they were talking about the dirty snow drifts on the side of the road, we never get that here, its all melted in a couple days. OH! and the snow storm they are talking about her getting stuck in was actually an ice storm, we got that as well that year. It took me over an hour to drive home from work (normally a 5-8 min drive) and we had kids sleeping in schools bc the buses couldn't get them home. They get more ice than snow where they are, same with us here. Snow is a HUGE deal in the south.

Thanks. Snow is a pretty big deal in San Diego, too. People drive up to the mountains and fill the back of their trucks up. I did think it was fun the way he was acting like a little kid all excited about the snow. And Bryan was so blase. Like he stays in places like that all the time. Please...

that makes me giggle about people filling up trucks with it, it sounds like something people would do here! C&K just generally tend to appreciate the little things more than B&M do. Something as insignificant as seeing snow makes C&K giddy with excitement, while Bryan looks down his nose at them like they are weirdos.

Exactly! It's so refreshing seeing C&K show genuine reactions. That's what I love about them. They're just real people who don't have to fake emotions or be dramatic about things. It's a shame they have so little subs, they're the only family vloggers who don't slightly annoy me. It was cute seeing them so excited over the snow and talk about how beautiful the view was.
