Ugh. Missy and Bryan are too good for those sitters that charge $40 second Isn't it proof enough when the kids aren't at the house that you shouldn't trust your cousin? I really don't think that they'd be in danger with the same sitterlmmomSD wrote:They spy on their house sitters too. I can understand that if you hire someone, but don't they usually use one of Missy's ubiquitous cousins? I think it's creepy. And rude.honeybear wrote:Wow I got such a big brother vibe. Why do they have so many cameras in their house? And one pointing DIRECTLY in their bed? Why? They aren't newborns... That is just creepy to me. They have ZERO privacy. I wouldn't be surprised if they had one in the bathroom too. :/
I understand safety, but that is just overkill. I'd feel so uncomfortable if I was a guest in their home, knowing my every single move is recorded and watching me sleep.... very creepy.

Re: DailyBumps100ThreadsOfClickbait (Part 100!)
Imo, the only reasons to be scared of a horse is if it's one of those REALLY BIG ones, and/or if it has little training. As a kid, I was around a very big horse (not just because I was smaller. That thing was like the green giant) but it was trained well, and was gentle. Like most horses really. I feel like the worst decision would be to get a violent horse, especially because it'd (hopefully) see the kids. And maybe even the light of day! We'll just have to see!ewokfan11 wrote:Missy is weird. Her reaction to the horses was terrible - she was so nervous! Then when she described meeting the horse it seemed like she was only looking for someone/something to LOVE her. She needs therapy...not a horse.

Speaking of goats, those are for sure next! That’s what I was betting on as the new Christmas pet this year. They’ve talked about getting goats and horses before, but I was sort of surprised they went with the horse first. I somehow believed that, just this once, they might have an ounce of common sense and not go for the horse, because it’s such a huge commitment. (The goats are, too, but I just envisioned them getting goats or even more chickens before they ever got a horse. And I never thought that they meant they were going to bring a horse to The Property instead of boarding - this surprised me, as well.)
Changing subjects, the security cameras are definitely overkill and just a status symbol deal for Bryan. I hope he realizes that the boys need some privacy - but I do think it is smart to use them as a baby monitor right now. They certainly don’t keep a good enough eye on the kids, so at least this encourages him to check in periodically. They are both pretty young for a bunk bed. Especially Finn, who apparently wasn’t ready for a big kid bed a couple weeks ago, but is now sleeping on the top bunk with a pillow barrier managed by his 4-year-old brother. #LanningLogic And, with creepers out there who have access to all kinds of info through the vlogs, including the layout of their house, I think it’s good that they have some security at this point. I mean, there is a door right in the boys’ bedroom! So I’m on the fence about the cameras.

And just one camera facing towards the door or something would accomplish the same thing security wise.
IDK, just the camera facing the boys while they are sleeping really creeps me out and makes me uneasy. I'm not sure why. I just think it's wrong. I know they're still young, but they are on cameras for the vlog and then on cameras the entire time they are home. It's just unnecessary and extremely controlling to me.

So wait--- she "grew up with horses" and is so experienced, but she's never had a horse come up close to her before? WTF?. And she.thinks she should own one?.queentee20 wrote:Missy’s horse experience reminds me of my goat experience: I LOVE goats but when Ive gone to petting zoos I get so scared, and I refuse to buy my own goats until I get over that fear. And missy should too.
ALSO, end of vlog missy said she’s never had a horse come up that close to her?! Never touch one that close before?! Didn’t she JUST mention how she grew up with horses are was very experienced?!
I can’t handle their lying
My eyes are rolling out of my head. What does she think owning a horse is about? Someone else presents the horse to her groomed and saddled, and she.floats into the saddle and canters off (but not too fast, and not too bouncy)
She and Annie Leblanc can ride around on a lunge line together. I will be their groom, and actually bond with the horses, because I will be doing all the stuff that creates the bond-- brushing them, cleaning their stalls, picking their hooves, etc.. LOL

And since they can watch their house sitters from vacation, that means it's possible that someone could hack into it and watch them when they are there. It happens. I haven't been able to bring myself to watch-- they are going to board the horse, right? They would have to build a barn and fence in a paddock to keep the horse on "the Property". More money hemorrhaging.
Plus all the work involved. Getting up early and feeding the horse and watering it. Cleaning the stall. Getting the farrier out. Fly hoods. Lots of work. .

She said she was going to board the horse to start, but the ultimate goal is to “learn everything she can” and bring the horse to their property I feel like that’s her way of saying they still have to build a place for it but she needs a horse NOW, so she’s going to board it and pretend she’s a responsible pet owner...but as soon as that barn construction is done, she’ll suddenly have learned everything there is to know and the boarding will be a thing of the past.lmmomSD wrote:And since they can watch their house sitters from vacation, that means it's possible that someone could hack into it and watch them when they are there. Re: DailyBumps100ThreadsOfClickbait (Part 100!)
She rode in Hawaii.
I rode horses for over 18 years as a kid. I was thrilled my kids showed no interest.
Horses need other horses. If they decide to bring one to the property she will need to bring two. Second horses need to be cared for with a routine. She cares for the chickens at random times. Can’t do that with horses. She would be better off leasing a horse than buying. Finely, horses are big animals and you must be cautious. My cousins daughter rode and competed big time. Last year right before Christmas she fell off got a TBI. She is still in a rehab place one year later. She will never be the same.

I don’t know if Brooke is an experienced photographer – is she talking about taking photos on film, or did she misspelled Finn’s name? Because to me, it feels weird to speak of analogue photography as “dreamy” (but these people aren’t very well spoken, sooo …)

Missy is saying their pantry gets too full and they have to throw food away. She literally threw an entire garbage bag of food away. So now they are going to get another storage area cause their one pantry is too small. They also got a new standalone fridge and standalone freezer for the garage. They are so wasteful!

Their wastefulness disgusts me from an environmental perspective, but also from a financial one. They are wasting thousands of dollars that could be saved for the figure. That YT money is going to need to sustain them through to old age, and that means they should be saving the bulk of it! The day will come when they won't even be able to watch their own old vlogs because the wasteful spending will be rubbing salt in a wound.MommaLindsey2 wrote:Missy is saying their pantry gets too full and they have to throw food away. Grocery shopping in the salad section and then a second later their cart is filled with potato chips? Hahaha those are all clearly for BryLard, he's one giant potato himself! The title threw me off - I was like are you serious with getting new dogs?? hahaha The issue is not space in their house - they are just disorganized and let their kids get into everything so throwing things out of the pantry will not help them at all, they need to finish food and stop eating out all the time!

How can they possibly need to throw away food? Nothing they eat expires!! Pop tarts, Pringles, candy, Easy Mac, fruit snacks, sugary cereal, frozen processed crap...it all has so much salt, sugar, and/or preservatives that they should be good to go for a zombie apocalypse or whatever else comes along. Lol.

She never worked with rescue horses if one touching her makes her jump.
If your pantry gets too full and you have to throw food away, isn't the logical thing to do, to buy less, or at least organize what you buy?
No. They build another storage unit.

Ugh I know it’s already been said but the wastefulness that goes on in their house is disgusting. Also, everything in their pantry and freezer/refrigerator is processed crap! How do people live off that crap? And of course Bryan got a cookie for later they have horrible eating habits. Whatever happened to his gallbladder surgery? If he changed his diet he most likely wouldn’t need surgery.

What in the world?! Why do they need that much food at once? Are there 6 bags of chicken nuggets in there? Why not buy a bag, *maybe* two, finish it, and then go to the store when they need more? They work on their own schedule and can grocery shop whenever, there’s no need to hoard food like crazy people.Acbsktbll wrote:Glad they blew a couple thousand on a new storage area for drinks, waffles, pancakes, pizza & chicken nuggets
