my bad, i watched the whole video but i must have missed the part where she said that, i take back what i said.niello wrote:she literally said they were unexpectedly running a half hour early because school started later than she thought, so they killed the time in the donut store. he'd already eaten breakfast, hence why he only had the tiny nibble of donut. do y'all even watch her videos, or do you just spend 20 seconds clicking through and then decide you're going to make up your own narrative to complain aboutannabananna wrote:they had donuts on the way to schoolhooboy wrote:What did she give him? What kind of lunch is this? This is not going to keep him full at all. He needs some type of protein.

She ALWAYS packs her kids those Entennman’s little bite muffins as their “main” food! For years she has done this. Those sugary muffins are not nutritious! For fucks sake, even a real muffin would be better than those stupid prepackaged, additive-filled “muffins.”

But omg Lilia in the vlog, attitude much lmao, she literally rolled her eyes when Jess asked her if she liked any of the bags.

So Jess got braces... which I thought she said she was getting Invisalign but obviously it appears to be actual (clear) bracket braces? Anyway...
Prepare yourselves now for the video:
26 YEAR OLD WITH BRACES?!
MOM OF 7 GOT BRACES?
And the predictable thumbnail of her either in the orthodontist chair or in her car with a red arrow pointing to her teeth.

Those actually are Invisalign, they just have little notches on the tray. I’ve never had them so idk why, it might be to take it out easier? You would be able to see brackets much more than that.kalipali wrote:So Jess got braces... which I thought she said she was getting Invisalign but obviously it appears to be actual (clear) bracket braces? You’re right—thank you! I had no idea. My daughter’s friend has braces with clear brackets and wires and it looks similar to how Jess looked in those pics, so I (wrongly) figured that must’ve just been what Jess got instead.Iammrsnesbitt wrote:Those actually are Invisalign, they just have little notches on the tray. Re: JesssFam: Nip, Tuck & Blowin' Bucks (Part 117)
As a kid I LOVED back to school shopping and yes it’s a very exciting time, new bags, new supplies, new clothes (I never had to wear uniform until high school) but watching that mess for them to buy clothes and backpacks literally gave me a headache.
It was so chaotic and they were throwing the bags on the floor making such a disaster and it honestly seemed like Chris was on another planet not even paying attention. Lilia was being a brat, the boys were fighting and throwing things.
I am all for kids being kids, if they’re being a little loud and maybe have lots of energy I totally understand, I don’t have any of my own so I’m sure it’s tough when they get out of hand, but there’s something called discipline Jessica.
If I saw my kids acting that way in public oh man, I would lose my shit. I was raised not to be too loud of obnoxious and if I threw a tantrum I’d get a spanking when I got home, so I learned to never throw tantrums. And I’m not saying physical punishment is okay, 20 years ago no one really cared but like, why can’t you teach your kids to be polite and respectful and to BEHAVE. It doesn’t matter that she has 5 or 7 or however many kids I just think that there’s got to be some sort of discipline. You’re the parent they have to listen to you, not the other way around.
Sorry for the novel :/

Excuse me if I’m wrong but why do people post pictures of their children on the potty, on social media?? I understand showing family, but just having a little heart emoji over Addie’s bits doesn’t make posting that picture okay! There’s so many child predators out there, we can go without seeing your baby naked, Jess! For her safety! I’m proud of Addie for having such an interest in potty training but couldn’t you have said that in a tweet without the photo...?

She could get good quality backpacks, from Land's End as well. She gets those cheap ones that tear apart in no timepleasecleanyourhouse wrote:Throughout 14 years of me going to school/university (4 more years to go unfortunately) I've had maybe 4 backpacks at most so it's always odd to me how all the youtubers buy new ones each year. A jo-jo and five nights in freddy bag will only last the year if they are lucky! Those character bags are shite and cheap and don’t last. The puma one might last longer if looked after.
So thankful that the kids wear uniforms, have book packs that we buy from the school and we pack lunches (in sistema plastic lunchboxes) - simple!
I always got Roxy/Nike backpacks for $50-60 and they all lasted for years.

If Jess or Chris don't want to make sandwiches, they could get Uncrustables. They come in different flavors;most kids like them. They stay in the freezer till morning, pack them and by lunchtime, they are thawed and ready to eat

17 hrs with no food for a 2 yr old cud she didn't try a new food is abuse. No 2 yr old should be going 17 hrs with no food that's just horrible.Mieke wrote:I'm sorry but that's not child abuse. I was raised the same way and will do the same thing with my children. I doubt she didn't get anything inbetween but even if she didn't, that's fine. She had food she could eat, if she only tried one bite of the sandwich she could eat something completely different. That's how you make sure you're kids aren't picky eaters. We always needed to try the amount of bites according to our age. So if we were 3 years old, 3 bites. Me and my siblings will try anything now, because how stupid does it look to go on a business dinner or dinner with your in-laws and have to say you will not try the food they made.boymom3 wrote:If she went 17 hrs with no food for not trying a new food is child abuse. They left our house shortly after and my SIL texted me the next day that she finally ate it. I don’t know if someone gave her something else inbetween, she doesn’t live with us; just over for dinner.

It's a control issue my ex in-laws are like this when my son was 3 yrs old wanted everything in a green bowl or plate and my Ex FIL littarly said "no he's getting red cuz don't want him to have green to think he gets what he wants when he wants it" and littarly wouldn't let him eat till he ate his sandwich off the red plate. I blew my lid. It's seriously a power trip.Echox3 wrote:agreed! Thank you!Chatabox wrote:So would you force your best friend to try 20+ bites of a meal you made if she said she didn’t like it?Mieke wrote:I'm sorry but that's not child abuse. Kids tastes naturally expand. As long as they’re being fed a range of healthy foods, (and not nuggets every night) then of course they’re going to have their favourites. Even adults do. Kids become willing to try new foods in a supportive environment. Force feeding them to eat foods they hate just creates eating disorders in future.
If they don’t want to eat their dinner, then they don’t get anything else. But that’s a choice they get to make. However they should still get a normal breakfast the next morning. Not feeding a child for 17 hours because they wouldn’t eat what the parent demanded is disgusting. I don’t get parents who play these mind games with their kids. They wouldn’t force feed other adults they loved and respected, so why their kids?
I liked eggs as a kid (when my family made them) but my babysitter made egg salad sandwiches, and when I refused to eat it, I had to sit at the table for 4 hours, crying the entire time because I didn’t want to eat it. I begged to just go hungry but nope.
Can’t stand eggs now in any way, shape or form.
People take it too far just to prove that they’re the best parent around but in reality, they sound negligent and snooty.
It’s great that OP’a sister starved her kid for 17 hours but that doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do. Just don’t give them snacks until the next meal

Re: JesssFam: Nip, Tuck & Blowin' Bucks (Part 117)
If my husband abandoned our 3 kids tomorrow and his parents were like 'oh well lol' I would NOT tolerate that shit. Any family that would fine with him emotionally scarring our kids and didn't either cut him off for it or make it VERY clear his behaviour was unacceptable would be out of our lives. I wouldn't want my kids to grow up in a family where they're not valued. Where were Drake's family when Jess was raising 3 of his kids by herself?Haulnarse wrote:If she loves drakes family so much what would the harm in offering to drop the boys off for a few days/weekend/week during the summer holidays? Even if it was just the twins? If drake has no interest in the boys, don’t punish his family. They boys hadn’t met their cousin who was similar age to addie. Thats awful in my opinion. She claims to be on good terms with his family, then why wouldn’t you trust them to have the boys stay more often.
