Yes Missy clearly has no clue how coddled she is. Watching her is actually quite reminiscent of watching an.episode of Teen Mom. Maybe thats why its more popular than.some of the other youtube mommy channels.

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
I thought that using cloth diapers was suppose to help you save thousands of dollars a year yet they spend money every single day. Didn't Bryan say that they spend an average of $50 whenever they go to walmart (which they seem to go to almost every other day)? What's the point of using cloth diapers even you're still spending money? Just use disposable Missy, then you'll stop bitching about doing laundry.
Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
So, we all think that Old Navy just sent Missy a gift card and she went on a sponsored shopping spree, right?

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
yeah i don't get how cloth diapering is cheaper at all. you do laundry almost everyday and the diapers are very pricey. i really don't get it. it just seems like the biggest hassle to me and not worth it in the slightest bit.hannahbanana wrote:I thought that using cloth diapers was suppose to help you save thousands of dollars a year yet they spend money every single day. I think the common wisdom is that you beak even on the cloth diapers around 9 months or something? And then if you have more kids, it saves you even more money.
Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
I'm not a mum but my mum clothe diapered me for a bit as a money saver. She said you didn't have the fancy made diapers like now, it was a white cloth and pins and she would soak them first and put them through the wash. She did save money out of it to go on holidays to see family.ashhbby wrote:yeah i don't get how cloth diapering is cheaper at all. you do laundry almost everyday and the diapers are very pricey. i really don't get it. it just seems like the biggest hassle to me and not worth it in the slightest bit.hannahbanana wrote:I thought that using cloth diapers was suppose to help you save thousands of dollars a year yet they spend money every single day. In the name of the moon, I shall gossip about you.
Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
Buying disposable for one baby is about $2000 a year. Cloth diapering could be anywhere from $50-800 depending on brands. Since hers were all given to her she's saving a bunch. I cloth diaper and have 35 diapers for around $200. The water and electricity haven't gone up on me much, maybe $5.
Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
My baby is ebf and is 2 months old. I change her diaper CONSTANTLY. I honestly couldn't even imagine washing that many diapers, it would be a nightmare.

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
I find cloth diapering to be very interesting. Everyone I know who does, KNOWS what they're doing and NEVER complain about having to do so much laundry.
Cloth diapers aren't cheap, they're expensive but they do save you thousands a year. But in Missy's and Bryan's case, I don't see the point.
Like some said said above, a lot of the cloth diapers they have were given to them. I feel like Missy knows absolutely nothing about cloth diapers. I feel like she has to keep Ollie in them because she's probably sponsored by some company.

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
There is no way I could cloth diaper..atleast where I am in Canada. It's just my husband and I, and our water bill is already $180. We only do laundry on weekends (it's cheaper) and try to save water. With the amount of washing cloth diapers need, there is just no way lol I notice a huge difference when we have to do laundry on weekdays. Not to mention the diapers are like 40$ a piece here, andd they are barely available in my town, I'd have to travel. Plus I HATE the way they look under clothes, it's so bulky. Kudos to mama's who cloth diaper, I know I won't be.
Your absence has gone through me like a thread through a needle.Everything I do is stitched with it's colour
Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
I have been very curious about cloth diapering since watching them but the initial cost is so expensive it scares me off! $20 for the diapers I find And I would need disposables for traveling and when my kid stays with family probably...eh

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
I pay about $14 for a big box of Luvs diapers, there's like 112 diapers in them. I could never imagine cloth diapering the cost of the water bill and not to mention it costs $120 for six cloth diapers. If people didn't send them cloth diapers they probably wouldn't be cloth diapering.
I speak the truth, if that makes me a bitch then so be it.

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
I cloth diaper. Spent around $700 for around 60 diapers & accessories and wash twice a week. Really not as bad as it's made out to be. Literally throw them in the washer - not painful. Not everyone who cloth diapers does it to save money, although there are some for $5-$10. There are plenty of other benefits, but I don't think Missy and Brian do it for any other reason than the fact that she thinks she's "natural" and they were free.
Ugh, I'm just catching up on videos. They're getting more and more fake. She doesn't get help from her family?! Ha!

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
It's not like you're out washing them on a washboard. You throw them in the washer and walk away. It takes like five minutes of my day, including folding, to cloth diaper. We went through about fifteen a day in the newborn stage. It wasn't a big deal at all. I wash every other day. 19 months later and we still like it. Our water bill only went up a couple dollars a month and part of that was just washing more clothes in general because newborns make a lot of laundry.ladybug wrote:My baby is ebf and is 2 months old. Also, you don't have to spend $20 apiece. A lot of our stash is made up of prefolds and covers or Alva diapers which are five bucks apiece. Anyone could easily build a stash for 200 bucks.

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
very interesting about cloth diapers. personally i would NEVER do it just because i feel like it would be more work for me and i'd rather just throw it away and be done. i give props to people who do it though.
my mom did it with my brother but got really tired of it fast and never did it again.
someone mentioned other benefits, what exactly do you mean? like what are the other ones.
i'm just so genuinely curious about this lol. sorry if its not about these 2 losers.

Re: BumpsAlongTheWay Part 3
Personally we do it purely for the money savings. I just can't stomach spending 2k plus per kid on poop. Oh, and because they are adorable! An added bonus is we never run out of diapers or wipes.
Others may do it because it's better for the environment (though that is debated by some) and because it is better for the baby (less chemicals). Personally the thought of piles of poop sitting in a landfill and leaching into our water grosses me out way more than washing it off my diapers. I read that disposable packages actually says not to throw poop in the garbage but I haven't checked that for myself.
I'm the last person to do stuff that causes extra work for me just for the heck of it but honestly it's not hard at all and takes almost no extra time out of my day. We use disposables most if the time when we are out for more than a couple hours so I am by no means against disposables. However, I would be lying if I said I didn't get a little giddy when do diaper laundry and see all of the diapers and think of all of the money we are saving with every diaper change.
