Can someone summarize Elle’s abusive past for me? I know her mother committed suicide and I know bits and pieces, but I haven’t watched all of her videos on it. I always assumed her mother abused her but then she also fawns over losing her mom/loving her so much. So just curious the whole story. How does her Dad fit in?

(My Mom was emotionally and physically abusive and neglectful... my father passively allowed it to happen. I would never keep their names alive in my children, even though I’ve worked though things with a REAL therapist and don’t wish them unwell, I still wouldn’t want my child to carry their name. So I’m trying to genuinely understand where Elle is coming from here)

Her mom was an alcoholic and I believe the relationship was mainly emotional and verbal abuse starting when Elle was very young. Can’t remember how physical it was. Elle’s sister moved out early, the parents were split up, and Elle took it upon herself to take care of her mother. I think she ended up living with her friend Veronica at one point because things were getting so bad at home. I should re-watch for research purposes. I do remember watching them and thinking wow, it makes so much sense now, why she is the way that she is. Her mom really fucked her up and the traits are plainly evident in the vlogs. Elle is always trying to put out the image/content that she thinks people want so she can be loved. She did the exact same thing with her mother - did/said whatever she had to do or say or BE to keep her mom happy.

She never really does say where Bumpa was when all this was happening, or if he even knew what was going on. It’s a big question mark. I get the sense that their relationship was somewhat strained for a long time but after she started having kids, things between Elle and her dad began improving. Always struck me as odd that she lived with a friend for a long time when she had a father who was, as far as I can tell, stable.

Cohen was all “Scandinavian” for some reason so my guess is BABY GIRL’S HOLY NAME has a British connection. We know it starts with B....

I've had the same thought going through my head. I'm almost 30 weeks with my second and between still-has-tags-on-them-hand-me-downs from friends and what I already had I don't think I really need a thing and haven't bought a single item...and my first was a girl but this one is a boy!

Watching today’s instastories kind of make me feel sorry for her. I honestly don't know any moms who already have one or more children, regardless of having a baby of a different gender, act this way.

It’s like she wants that special feeling/attention a first time mom gets. And is trying so desperate to do everything by the instagram checklist to achieve some sort of weird fulfillment.

With my first I will admit I wanted everything new and the most expensive and latest and greatest. If I’m blessed to have a third, he or she is going to get all the things my older two used (baring an expiration). Even if I have a boy (which would be a different sex) I would only buy as little as I needed. Most of my girls wore hand me downs from my sister who had a girl and boy.

It just feels so pathetic, like she’s trying to attain this image or vibe. And where is Dan??? It’s like he doesn’t exist. He is after all just the sperm donor.

She posted a story on Instagram with Cohen and Forde in it, but she was basically just brushing off what Cohen was saying. He was asking her, "Who has a knife?" at breakfast and she kept just telling him, "No, you can't have a knife/I don't trust Vikings with knives." Cohen kept asking the question and finally Forde stepped in and actually answered it. Forde was being more attentive to his brother than Elle was to her son! She obviously prioritizes this baby over her other children, and that's sad. I don't know how much Cohen understands about the new baby, but I bet at least Forde is very sweet with her and I hope she lets them interact with each other. She could probably get some cute footage of them together, but it's all about the bond between her and the baby and no one else can steal her show.

She very clearly has to be the center of attention. It isn’t about putting her other kids in the limelight, but she could at least PRETEND like this baby impacts the whole family and not just her. Instead of posting a pic of the baby and then drowning on about how she’s had to struggle and bond, she could talk about how the change impacts the WHOLE family. There’s a way to discuss your family without exploring the kids for views.

She only seems to have two modes - USE the kids for attention/focus/money or completely and utterly ignore them.

Honestly, every time I see anything this girl posts, I have to come directly here. She does it to herself.

In instastories, she a says she “feels like a proud big sister” to this kyra chick who I have never fucking heard of... ELLE YOURE SUCH A LEECHING NARCISSIST!!! She’s always connecting herself to people she has nothing to do with, and pretending like she personally knows them. The worst is she does this publicly.
